Tsk, the base of the stuffing is very easy. I have to make my basting broth for the turkey and that's the liquid I use for my stuffing and gravy.

Oldguy, nice microwave .... Catman Chris LOL!! I'm sending that to one of my walking buddies. They have a 9 month old kitten, who likes the Christmas tree.  ;D

Phyl,

Good Morning Beakers!

Lani, awww, sweet kitty in his jammies... Glad to hear that Aly and Dewey will be home for Christmas!  I hope next year after Shannon is all settled that you will have both of your girls home for Christmas! Thanks for the TRR news, wow, they have a lot of residents!  I am wondering how Sam and Sophie will do with the Christmas tree, we got them after Christmas last year so I have no idea!  ::) ::) We attached the tree stand to a heavy piece of wood after Harley and Honey tipped the tree over a few years ago so hopefully that can't happen again!

tsk, so you are working on that puzzle! And you know if I see another one that reminds me of you I will post it.  ::)  That one just popped up on FB, I wasn't searching puzzles!  There is probably a gorgeous butterfly puzzle out there somewhere...  ;D

Phyl, the Stove Top Stuffing, I use chicken broth instead of water. That's my trick! Good report at the Retinol Center yesterday, all is well and I don't have to go back unless I feel a change in the eye. Dr. Bracha is so nice, he said to call him if I have any concerns at all.

Lisa, oh yes, very easy to spend $300 on groceries in two months!  I thought you meant in one trip, which I have never done!  That's a good deal then!

Going north bound on 89a thru Sedona Arizona

OLDGUY    LOL  Catman Chris.  I think our first counter microwave did not have a turntable now that you mention it. Am so used to them now.

LISA   O'Hare reported 2.7" - the lowest for the area.  Some areas had 4"  But all gone as I opened the curtains this AM  ;)   Sure was a messy day and glad my grocery has underground parking for days like this  LOL

PHYL   LOL  "frilly" turkey pantaloons   ;D   Cute pilgrims this AM  ;D  Another good thing about puzzling during evening TV is that I stay awake and don't snack  LOLOL   Snow all gone this AM  ;)

TIG  WOW  You go a long way for your dental visits.

LANI   You're way ahead of me with "basting broth for turkey"   ;) ;)  You are a very good cook.  The older I get, the less time I devote to the fussier meals.  Despite the fact that Lulu helped decorate the tree she really just leaves it alone.    Lucy used to lay under it all the time.

CLYNN   Our tree stand is also fastened to a large piece of wood. So happy to hear your eye is stable. PHEW   To me when you live in a city like Sedona it's like living in Hawaii.  ON tour I asked the tour guide how do you live with all the beauty all around you.  Ans: You get used to it...

Good Morning Beakers

Phyl;D Frilly turkey legs! Christmas Vacation is a favorite in this house, too.  Thanks for the 365.

tig - Glad to hear you made it to dental appt safely and back.

Lani - Love your good night kitty.

clynn - I spend roughly $195 a week or more on groceries. It was easy to get the $300 in a month.  Jeff is always saying....it just the two of us, and cats...why do we spend so much!  ;D ;D
Ditto what tsk said about your eye!

tsk - Wow, you all did get alot of snow.  Whole Foods in Annapolis is the only store around here that has underground parking.  It sure is nice to have with the rain and snow.

I am off to the doctors...catch up later.

bounce

I visited the eye doctor early today... will have a couple skin tag/keratosis removed at the eye in a couple of weeks.

Wow... we spend about $120 every two weeks on groceries, and we eat out an average of 1.5 times a week.
I love my Mom's sage dressing recipe... Jimmy Dean's sage sausage, onion, celery, sage crouton, etc. LOL... it is called dressing here, just like it is called Duck, Duck Grey duck.  ;D

Hugz all

Good morning bakers it was 47° this morning and I don’t have the heat on yet guess that will have to be turned on however I believe next week we will have a day at 81° no snow they’ll be L and I wonder if you have had much in the Catskills I heard there was a storm hitting the north east.
Lani. I also love the kitty in the jammies and eyeglasses curled up in bed last night so sweet.
I am now waiting for the plumber to come and give me an estimate on replacing both of my parties. They are short and I want taller ones. my old neighbor Jackie had that done before they moved and she used one of the box stores but had difficulty getting their plumber to show up as scheduled so I don’t care to fool with it speaking of schedules they help us not here yesterday and is not here again today And I guess that’s a good thing as both she and her son have tested positive for strep throat. Supposedly they are contagious for 24 hours and I don’t need that the agency is sending me someone today to help with a few things I need completed that I can’t get done that’s all the news that’s fit to print and I hope you are all having a great time love the discussion and dressing/stuffing. I use a version of my mothers as well. Which calls for pork sausage. I use the spicy kind as I like the cake that you get from it I will not be making it for Thanksgiving as I’m using the public as it’s easier just heat and eat.

{{{Clynn}}} so glad you had a good dr report.  :-*.  beautiful fall pics...ditto on chicken broth, make it with my potato soup ....  that drive on 89A is great! Looking forward to reading your Christmas tree episode with S & S  ;D

Phyl, cute pilgrim decor.... nice nature video and flyaway pic... prayers for Sauces pair ...

Tsk, oh my, you got a lot of snow. Glad it melted..... I enjoy cooking a full turkey dinner for Mike. It's his favorite meal at Thanksgiving and Christmas, that's all he wants, no gifts, just turkey, jelly cranberry, mash potatoes and gravy...  ;D ... Milo and Norman like to lay under the Christmas tree or hid around the gifts, they leave it alone for the most part. I hope Tim is doing well.

Lisa, oh my, we spend $300+ on our once a month Costco trip....Batteries, Tide, cleaning products, paper towel, tp, kleenix, bottle water, dog/cat, cleaning products, beef/chicken/fish, etc.... bam it's over $300!.... Jeff, Mike says the same thing. Then he may add new pair of jeans, sweatshirt, odds and ends he can't resist. LOl! ... prayers for your doctor visit.

Tig, love Jimmy Dean's sausage.... your dressing sounds delicious.

Karen, good luck with the plumber. take care.[/size]

Whew, at only 36 above I finally after about 7 plus tries got the front yard mower to start. I needed to empty it of gas and picked up some leaves doing so. Swapped the snowblower for mower in garage after filling mower with seafoam, a gas stabilizer to protect the carburetor. Glad that is done/completed.
Just a few more outdoor items before winter to do. Temps not looking warm next week!

Lisa - As a 2 person family we spend about the same as you. Separately we order all household goods from amazon so it's just food in comparison with you. I stopped buying short ribs and pork butt for carnitas etc. can't afford it anymore.

BL I wonder if you have had much in the Catskills? I heard there was a storm hitting the north east.

Oh yeah KG we got socked pretty good last night / this AM.

I measured 12 inches of snow on the nose at 9 AM this morning on the back deck of the cabin.
We're at about 2,400 ft elevation here so that enhances the amount considerably.

Here's a screen capture taken from a NYS Mesonet webcam (automated weather station) not too far from our location at 8:20 AM 11.22.24.
Heavy wet snow glued to everything making for a winter wonderland in every direction.   :)

Time for an after lunch frolic with Kopje ..

Yes enough snow to run the machines around on this AM.

We ran the sleds around the quad trails packing down the early season snow connecting the trails with fat heavy 80's SkiDoo's.

~PM Edit~
And getting even better as it's been snowing huge parachute flakes here all day and since that snow/sundog/rainbow sunset.   ;D

Temp holding at 29 ° F.

We got a safe bonfire cranked up here as everything as far as the eye can see looks like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.

Unthinkable as little as 96 hrs ago due to fire danger.

LISA   Groceries must be more expensive out by you  LOLOL  Was this an A1C check?

TIG   I'm more like you with groceries.  We do take out generally 1x/week to give me a break  LOL  Tonight is the night - Chinese!

KAREN   Sounds like you are getting the ADA toilets?   We have them.  You get so used to the height that you have to be careful using  the bathroom in places other than your own house  LOL   No you do not need strep throat. :o   My Mom's recipe had giblets and pork sausage.

LANI  Love your AM post pic   ;D

BL  Plenty of snow alright!  but you knew that going in.. ;) ;)
