Hi Lisa - Hi Phyl  Chilly morning to all.

Beautiful downtown Darien starts at 25 this morning kb.  Did a big no-no and didn't put refuse at the curb last night.  Wee bit nippy this morning.  Did one smart thing - dug out and put on my down cold weather coat with gloves.  Luckily the only flakes that survived were on the grass and roofs.

Joy of joys is that I haven't fought rush hour mornings into the city since 1994.  No rush and no backups on my block.    ;D   NOPE don't miss I55.  Sipping hot tea as I start my at-home work.    ;D

Like a blizzard here this AM  LOL  Thanks for that KB and my brother in Green Bay!!  ::) ::)

OLDGUY    Did you buy a replacement control board or new microwave??  Actually very quick work!!  I think our microwave is up there as most used.  Altho I do use my toaster oven as an oven when I can.   Love Walter's way of cooling off.  ;D   Farm - great piece of property.  Wonder if the other dogs are his too or an adjoining neighbor?   Awwww kitty found a home.  Loved the Mashup  :D

LANI  Thanks for the inside look at the Smith house.  Pretty indestructible!  Very comprehensive report on TRR  I love their names  ;D

CLYNN   I've never used Stove top stuffing.  Hmmm   Whole Foods they will have fresh dressing made.  Maybe will get some Stove top just in case.  Good visit with the retinologist  I hope.   Eminent Domain must not exist in Australia....Gorgeous home.

KB   Every year that happens with the first snow storm!  Hard to watch.

PUFF   Like a blizzard in my neck of the woods.  Sticking on sidewalks and streets!!

tsk - tis true every first and even second snow of the year does cause mahem on the roads.

This one was different though. Temps hovered right around the freezing mark, so though it snowed on and off lightly all day and into the night. It was WET and froze instantly. So ice ice baby. Not snow.

Good morning Beakers!
Morning Eagles4, Lisa, Ezee, Eburg, Weasel, Jilltosa, Kb, Tsk, Karen, Oldguy, Puff, Eaglesrock, Emyrauld, Lilbro, Blschue, Lori, Clynn, Tig, Baz, Phyl, Peep, Jaspurr, Pink, BL, Bggolden, T40, ssrl, Maxie, Nrstooge, Omasawyer, Paulie, jicaji, LB, and All!

Clynn, I've never used stove top stuffing. I found a quick stuffing recipe in my Pillsbury Family Cookbook I bought 52 years ago. I bought it from a young school age student going door to door selling magazine subscriptions. I bought that too.... I can make that recipe in my sleep. As time as gone by I've added spinach, shredded cheese or italian sausage and I use it for the base of oyster dressing.... Interesting story of the Zammit Family..... I pray your appt goes well...

Lisa, The Chantilly cake looks creamy and moist, I'll have to keep an eye out for one.... Aly likes ham, I'll make her a honey baked one for Christmas. She'll be here  ;D

Kb, so glad Chris is feeling better.  :-*. The roads! YIKES!! .. take care and be safe.

{{{Puff}}} So true of  what you wrote to Clynn.  :-*

Phyl, Blue Bloods is a wonderful family/NYC story with a great cast... I don't watch the 3 networks either. But, you can watch on other channels ROKU, etc... great morning fall pics.

Tsk, Waylon is the only one 3-finger sloth left now.  :( ... be safe and keep warm.  :-*

Everyone dealing with blizzard conditions please be safe and take care  :-*

tsk  Update on Mother N's handiwork - Everything is now covered and white here, too.  Streets, walks, drives, roofs.  It figures!  I just finished Great Britian web trip now have to go out for other appointment.  Work is it should stop 1P - 3P.   It might be warm enough to warm streets/walks and melt.
Previous mentioned rush hour will be horrid none the less.

kb  Snow on the  panels - oooops.  I did something similar. I did cover my water fountain (still has to be drained so it won't crack).  However, I never plugged in the heated water bowl on the patio.  Water froze and the snow now covers the ice.  When I return later I'll slush through snow to plug it in.

Later

by whoops I meant not feasible to run a solar paneled outdoor Christmas light net set here in MN..I won't buy it again and will replace with a battery powered one soon. Nope, you won't find me daily deep in snow grabbing the solar panel, if I can find it, and bringing it inside to charge.

PHYL   Beautiful and timely 365 today  ;)

LANI   Lots of work goes into your dressing.  I have my Mom's recipe but will not make it unless I have more than 3 for dinner  LOL
Great to hear Aly will be back for Xmas.  She's putting a lot of mileage on her car.  ;) ;)   I noticed that about Waylon.

Set up my jigsaw table last evening and sorted 1,000 pieces in 90 minutes.  I know I said I was not doing 1,000 pieces any more but CLYNN provided the link to the stained glass cat puzzle that really grabbed me - don't do that again CLYNN - so that is what I'm starting with.  :o :o 8)

Kb - this year we a selling a light set that uses a timer and battery bank - box says that it will last 33 days of 6 hrs run time/day on a single charge.  But the details say that 33 days is if the temps are above 40 degrees and it is not designed to be used lower than -14 degrees.  It also says to replace it at 18 months if used in cold weather - 24 months in warm.  It does not tell you what the makeup of the battery is - ie lithium, alkaline, etc.  It has to be charged with a USB-C cable and takes 6 hours to recharge. I will not be recommending this item to anyone in Iowa or north.

There is not way that a new circuit board is going to be available for a 30 year old microwave...
This what I got - https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-2-0-cu-ft-countertop-microwave-with-sensor-cooking-and-smart-inverter-stainless-steel/6577451.p?skuId=6577451

What I am going to miss the most about my old microwave is that it did not have a turntable - it used a "stirrer" to evenly distribute the microwaves.

We got a tracking snow around 1am last night - streets/sidewalks were clear by this morning - it got up to 42 this afternoon, so no sign of it now.
