Good Morning Beakers

I know I am many pages behind, but will eventually catch up.  I am home.

Niece is all set up in her apartment.  We got everything we needed to do with changes of addresses, post office, cable company, etc.

I left Mobile on Friday afternoon around 2pm, stayed on the outskirts of Atlanta again.  I headed home yesterday morning and got back around 6pm last night.  Today will be a day of grocery shopping and getting other needed things.

Good Morning Beakers!

Phyl, you were a busy beaver yesterday! Hope you are getting a good rest now! Love the picture of the Norths in Amy's Blog and wow, a lot of calendars to choose from for next year! Very clever leaf and pinecone birds! Love the kitten asleep on the food dish!  And that toilet paper at shame! Harley's favorite! Did you get a chance to watch the bluebird FB video?

Lisa, yay, you are home and safe! Those long road trips can wear you out for sure. Always so good to be back home...

Lani, glad the Jayhawks won again last night, Mike is happy!  I think Mike with his Cozy Burgers is the good luck charm! We will have the kids here for a late Thanksgiving, they have the main meal with Sydney's family. Last year I took as many shortcuts as I could, like Bob Evans mashed potatoes, candied yams in a can, with some marshmallows added, Heinz gravy. May do that again, at least on the mashed potatoes!

tsk, that sounds wonderful, to decorate the tree a little each day... I think I am going to have Erin bring the tree in from the garage when he is here today, then I can do as you are doing!  A little every day!

baz, that terracotta army is incredible! Glad to hear you got your walk in. I am trying to decide between 2 walking pads, and hoping for a Black Friday special!

PHYL    Family Xmas picture  LOL  Big bathroom project.  Lots of hands and knees work.  :o   So is there tile under the carpet?   Aww  sweet kitty pooped out in food dish.  Clever bird leaves and pine cones.

LANI   That is a BIG first.  How will you do the meal?  I just bought a small turkey breast.  Maybe Tim can find some turkey legs for me to roast.  He loves them.

LISA    WOW  A whirlwind trip.  How do you feel about the move?  Think she can handle it?

CLYNN  Pretty leaf rainbow  :)  When I used to have a big crowd  I would get the mashed potatoes done early and then you put them in the crockpot on low and put waxed paper on top.  No fuss at the end.  But like you, I am cheating with the mashed potatoes this year.  ::)  Actually it's my house decorations I do gradually.  The tree I can do in a couple hours.  I usually have a Hallmark movie on while that is being done  LOL

clynn  Fond memories of Oak Creek Canyon and Slide Rock State Park.  Always recommend 89A in that area for the drive.  Beautiful surprise hideaway.

Just for the record - When the family was over 20 I did big holidays.  Nowadays it's a rock cornish hen, sage dressing, and pumpkin pie.

Traveling around like I do/did I'll always opine that there's nothing better anywhere, for so many reasons.  I'm so Thankful.

Phyl - Thank you.  It is good to be home.  Bandit and Misty were both glad to see me.   :)
Love the pine cone animals. Thanks for RRP post.

clynn - That is the truth...I don't think it hit me how tired I was, till I was walking around Walmart this morning.  Love the colorful leaves.

tsk - The new place is really nice, and a two-bedroom, which shocked both of us.  That second bedroom did give her a chance to get rid of her storage, where she was putting excess clothes and stuff.  By not having the storage to pay for, that will give her a few extra dollars each month.  I hope she can handle it.  :-\  How are you and Tim?

Puff - That sounds like a wonderful meal.  I think I have only ever ate a Cornish hen once in my life.

Lani - Hope Shannon is all settled in Vegas.  How are you and Mike?

karen
- I thought about you when I was sitting in that Atlantia traffic heading there and back, thinking...darn I should have taken I-10 and stopped over at karen's for the night.   ;D ;D

kb, tig - Morning/Afternoon  :)

PUFF  Maybe once a year I cook Cornish hens for Tim and I.

LANI    The masked pontiff..  ;D

LISA   All good here.  Tim's had an itchy abdomen since the removal of gall bladder - Let it pass - just healing.   That was weeks ago and now itching all over - esp upper body.  Notes out to the docs..sigh.   You will sleep like a rock tonight!!!  Her new place sounds really nice.   Maybe a purge of a few things to come.

Tig, and women playing in the Billie Jean King Cup - already begun, and has overlapping dates, and playing at same Malaga, Spain venue, as the Davis Cup Final 8 2024 Tournament that starts Tuesday! I missed Fritz at the ATP Final - I messed up on the time! They finished 2 hours ago, I see!! I don't know if you've seen it, so I won't divulge the result. I just turned on the TV to watch the Chiefs game. Missed the ATP Finals final!!  ::)

LOLOLOLOL, Lani!!  That canine Pontiff is looking a tad haughty, if you ask me. Oh! No one asked me!  ;D ;D ;D ;) Cute pooch!  :-* What a hoot!  :D  I have paused the Chiefs game till I wrap up here - I mis-timed my stop by The Beak. LOL. I don't want to miss a play... so I'm headed to watch the game now. Go Chiefs!  (Now where's my Cozy Burger?)  ;) ;)

Happy Day, Beakers!  :)

Lisa, glad you're back - that was a whirlwind trip! Y'all did so much! Can't belee you were up posting at 5 this morning after a busy trip and long leg drive home yesterday and not getting back till after sunset! No wonder you were tired while shopping today! Hope you can take a big break soon!!  :)

Clynn, go for the tasty and helpful shortcuts for T'Day meal! My sisters and I divvied up and started taking some of the side dishes for T'Day Dinner at Mom's house after we were grown and the little kids weren't quite as little. Time to give "Mom" a break!!

Puff, your T'Day meal will be yummy!   ;D ;)

Karen, clear out your guest room - Lisa's coming on her way to Mobile next trip!  ;) ;D ;)

TSK, glad it turned out your pretty bush didn't get completely crushed! Fingers crossed the temporary props you used on the beat-down lower branches will help, and it will look good as new again before long! Looks like you may have some snow coming this week! Get something to melt the snow and ice on your new front steps! Ugh on ((Tim's)) itching! That's a terrible nuisance! Hope they can figure what's causing it and put that awful symptom in the rear view mirror, pronto!! My niece has had the opportunity to travel widely through volunteer work, and through work work, LOL, and for vacay travel, too, so she has been to a lot of places in the U.S., Canada, Central and South America, and Europe, Asia, and Africa. She's a seasoned international traveler for her age.

Phyl, you pulled an all-nighter after ripping out the carpet and hand-scrubbing the carpet tape goo off, and your bathroom floor on your knees yesterday?!? Hope you got a good long snooze in after sunrise!  :D

I gotta go catch up on the Chiefs game!! Yikes!

Good night, Beakers. Peace. SED.
