baz - Waving to ya!

Lani - Thanks for the TRR update.  We have been in the low 40's the past two night, but have not got above 60 today.  I think by the weekend we will be back in the 70's for the high.  Awww, #273 fishing.

tsk - Misty loves sitting in that window.  It use to be Bandit's spot, but she has taken over!

Have a good night, everyone  :)

LISA   We got to 48 today.  Supposedly below freezing tonight.  Will need to find time to save the 50-60 green tomatoes on our 2 plants plus all the cherry's that did not redden  :'( :P  We will see 70 later this week as well.

Lisa  that's 'some' Jack O Lantern mug! I ought to check if it's sold on line.   I've never used 'transition lenses' but use progressive. And, wear them most of the time I just know 'where' to look.   ;)

Bazi   glad too we're in a world with 'Octobers'. Tks for the family snaps.

Tsk  glad you got some rain too; furnace is running as well.  Good Luck with the ' Tommy-Toes'.
Our low tonight is  40F.  But, there's a frost comming, Jim says, will be time to cover what sensitive plants that are out.

Good Night

LANI   Love that good night pic  ;D ;D

Well  according to my on-line local weather we did NOT get down to freezing last night - It's 37 now and gorgeous weather is still predicted for another week so will leave those tomatoes on the vine  Yay  Will pitch porch plants today though.

Good Morning Beakers!

Lani, I had to go back and look at Lisa's picture, and yes, I see Misty! I didn't catch that, you sure have an eagle eye! Sam and Sophie love to sit in the front window and watch the birds that land in the Burning Bush. Love the cute picture of the bats & mouse hanging with the socks on the clothesline! Snow at Brooks Falls! Little Clara looks so sweet!

Phyl, sweet tribute to 402...  I would love to stay in that little cabin in the woods, it looks so cozy!

Lisa, what a unique coffee cup in your morning greeting! I have had Transition lenses for years, I think you will like them!

tsk, Ed got the last of our tomatoes, but not the green ones. He said there weren't very many and they were small. Almost all of our tomatoes were on the small side this year, but better than last year. They are sure tasty though! It is 32 here right now, but my flowers on the porch look fine. Maybe they are frozen and will thaw out later!  :o We haven't had any rain for a few weeks, Ed is going to give everything a good drink this week. Cozy fireplace this morning!

baz, I love October too, the days are cool but not COLD and the trees are beautiful. Will worry about the leaves later!! I bet the mountains are beautiful

Phyl, another beautiful 365, soothing and calm... Will look for the Hunter's Moon tomorrow night!  Thanks!  Yes, cats love the sun! Our front door faces west, in the afternoon the cats love to lay on the rug and soak in the sun. In the morning it's the deck on the east side of the house. They know where to go! That dog with the pumpkin mask, how cute! I would love to swing on that swing and just soak up Autumn!

This is about an old historic building in Albion, it caught fire when I was at Mom's in April, I drove over to see it and report back to Mom. They have almost  finished the renovations and repairs! There is also a little bakery on the property where they bake all their goodies. I remember going to the eye doctor there when I was in High School.

Colyer Coffee House - Albion, IL
•built in 1908, built by Walter Colyer, and often referred to as “The Colyer Building”
•it has served as an abstract office, farm bureau, law office, dentist, optometrist, and boutique… just to name a few.
•there are many original features to our building: the brick, hardwood floors, mosaic tile in front, stained glass, shutters, gazebo out back, and the brick sidewalk.

These pictures are all before the fire, I haven't seen any after pictures yet.

BAZ ... We had not turned the heat on yet. Don't know when it cracked. Hmmm
The frost made the grass too wet to mow before we go to get our Covid boosters. Guess I will cut the grape plant back instead after breakfast. Coming from 60 degree home, the pool felt warm to me today... while others thought it cool.

56 going to 70 something today and same same tomorrow!  80 looming in our future so cool brisk air has not settled in yet!  Piper enjoyed a good romp in the yard!
Clynn, that building in Albion is a beauty!  Wonderful workmanship!   Happy to read it is being restored!   How did your imoatients do?  Sometimes, if they are wet enough and the temps are not low for more than an hour, things will survive.
I just planted a few red wave petunias.  They should go thru our winter and be cheery.  Mixed a lemom ball with a few.
Dr. hall came by yesterday on her way to a pupoy training class!

There was a dog tied to a fence , as hurricane Milton. Approached.  Found by police.  He was standing in belly deep water.   This on the news.    Just read it was in Tallahassee, on i 75.  The owner has  been identified and has been charged with criminal animal abuse.  Dog is  now naMed .

trooper and is in the shelter.

CLYNN   Love that acorn wreath.  Blue Ridge Hwy is a beautiful drive.  NR is an amazing knitter. Great progress on the burned Coyler house.  Wonder if there was any attempt to give it "historical home " status.  We have several of those in our town.  That would be a great puzzle.  I can't even look at it!!  LOLOL

PHYL   Love the fall pictures this time of year.  Dog with pumpkin head  ;D ;D ;D  Moon was gorgeous last night in and out of the clouds.  Perfect view from my TV chair  LOL  WOW

KAREN  Happy to hear about the prosecution of the cruel dog owner.  Happy ending.

LANI    Wonder if dogs enjoy spa day as much as humans  LOL
