Good Morning Beakers

Phyl - Pretty colorful flowers this morning.

Lani - The two main side effects of the prescription drops were long lashes, and the color of the eyes could lighten.  Jeff got the long lashes.  I will have to notice if the highway parents are in the trees along the highway.  I get sad seeing the kiddo in nest by itself.

kb - Beautiful white lion!

BL - Thanks for the tunes, and have fun on your next adventure.

baz - Thanks for the info on free Covid test in mail coming soon.  No, I do not wish his eye condition on anyone.  :)

tsk - Prayers for Tim's pain, and prayers for you for the next two weeks  :D

clynn, tig, karen, Puff and all - Morning  :)

BL   What a way to live the same day over again. ;)  Grandpa's watch - a treasure.  Good to hear you'll give yourself at least another day before you're off again  ;D ;D

KB      I presume that white lion is in  a sanctuary.  Beautiful animal - lucky ranger?

PHYL   Nice bright Sunday AM  :)

When we got Tim home around 1 PM yesterday I'd say he slept 75% of that time in his recliner.  ( slept not a wink the night he had to stay there.)  So much discomfort and didn't even feel like eating til about 8 PM .  Went to bed about 9.  Heard him in the kitchen at 6:30 - "How did you sleep" - LIKE A ROCK"  Phew!!!  So now we're in Day 2  and each day should be getting better

I don't know tsk where this lion is nor who the man is. The video is from one of the 3-4 nature twitter handles I follow daily....meaning they pop up when browsing twitter without explanation.

Glad to hear Tim is home and improving...

Good Morning Beakers

Phyl, yes, you were up early this morning! With pretty sunflowers! And another lovely poem for the day... Yesterday TWC said 101 for today, but now it says 95 for the high. Hot through Thursday, then nice again!  I kind of got the impression that the two astronauts were okay with staying at the International Space Station until February, but maybe it's not so. I wondered what was there to do there and found this article:  https://www.nasa.gov/international-space-station/

Lani, that is a very cute couple that got married on that day 54 years ago! And they are still a cute couple! Harley was a little neater with the paper towels, at least this one time, and the tissues, then there was Honey and her boxes:

Lisa, I'll have one of those yummy looking breakfast rolls! I have never heard of long lashes being a side effect of a med!  How strange - I would be jealous too! LOLOL!

tsk, sounds like Tim will be fine in just a short time, just needs to get back into his rhythm...

baz, I will have to wait and see what the other Ford dealer says about my car. The powertrain warranty is 6 yrs/60,000 miles.  My vehicle is 7 yrs/41,000 miles, so they might cover it. But the lights have not come back on since i got home, and the engine light was off Tuesday morning. Supposedly no one can turn that off but a service person. So I am wondering if it is a fluke! Driving fine, like always. It's just the TRUST thing, dare I drive to Mom's again?

Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away. ~ Unknown

clynn - The eye drops for Jeff condition is called Latanoprost.  Hope the engine light coming on was a fluke, but that would make me nervous while driving.  Very pretty mural.

{{{Tsk and Tim}}} sounds like Tim had a good night's sleep. All good news, first night home. 🙏

Lisa, the side effects of the eye drops are amazing to me. Never heard of that.

Hi Puff, Kb,

Clynn, love morning pics..... Honey and the box! LOL!! Your cautious intuitions about the car are very valid to me. I admire the trips you make to Ohio on your own, you're awesome. So, continue to trust your gut feelings about the car.  :-* ... love the building art.

Royal Albatross ~ LGK Returns to Feed TF! 🐥 TFT Does A Skycall 🐥 ♫ 8.24.24
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qHqOHCLnhGg

Aug 24, 2024  #TAIAROA #royalcam #albatross
TF is a lucky chick! After getting a feeding earlier in the morning from LGL, now he sees Dad LGK arrive home! TF runs to meet Dad wheeing & begging for his squid special! LGK feeds his chick with some good mouthfuls ♥ When LGK is finished he heads to the left and walks just past TFT. He stops and quite unexpectedly - TFT does a skycall for him at 07:38 . That was sweet to see and hear! LGK then departs over the sea - TF is on his nest and TFT does some wing exercises.

The video does have some lags and skips in it - I tried to take out as many as I could. Thank you for watching!

Tig -  Our friends went to the west coast for 2 weeks last month, with stops in Disneyland, Vegas, Yellowstone and Badlands.  They had some detours along the way, but not enough to change any reservations.  One of the overnights was at Old Faithful Lodge.  Have a great trip and keep up to date on the wild fire locations and air quality along the way.

8/24 If you were wondering when Iris might migrate, here's her history. (We don't know exactly when she leaves. We can only say when we last saw her.) We have a few more weeks with the Queen of Hellgate and our hearts.  #HellgateOsprey

8/24/ Finn delivers fish to Antali - Posted on Hellgate cam

https://x.com/i/status/1827381822151385464

Handsome Antali, look at his intense brown eyes and light color chest feathers. His chest feathers are the lightest in the family.

Antali, gorgeous intense boy  :-*

Beautiful Iris with her speckled green eyes

Here you see Finn's gorgeous green eyes... Finn flew in with a second fish. To start Antali defended the fish he had, even made a threat move on Finn.  Then saw the new fish and took it.  Note Finn lifts his foot away before A can take it- in protective defense maybe? ... all these actions are to build Antali's offensive and defensive instincts for surviving on his own.  ;D

Sum-eh front note the brown eyes. Her eyes are just a tad lighter and she has lots dark feather chest necklace like Iris...  Antali back :-*

These pics and question posted by Shep in the Hellgate Osprey thread.
I found the videos of the moment that was captured by Heather Lewis and posted by Dr. Eric Greene.
Antali was defending the nest against another young osprey, possibly one of Louis's.

August 24, 2024
Osprey perched all nite. - Antali?
7 am - I dunno what this is ..... wasn't much of a fight.

Dr. Greene posted this yesterday morning
Heather Lewis caught this moment when another juvenile osprey tried to land on the nest. Dr. Greene previously reported seeing Louis and 2 of his chicks in the area. Could this be one of his chicks? We don't know, but interesting. #HellgateOsprey

tig  Was this the original posting about a week or so ago when it did happen?  Or did it happen again?  Or is it just a "beware" because there's always the possibility?
