Good Evening Beakers

We have had a very damp/foggy 28-35 degree week here.  About 1/2 inch of rain for the week.  On Tuesday while at work, a large garage door awning failed from too much snow/water load.  I was the closest to it verifying proper set of the garden center for spring.  About 25 from the door.  My back was toward the door and just out of sight - heard a very loud bang and then saw snow entering the aisle at my feet.  It took until noon Thursday for a crane crew to arrive and remove the awning.

The roads in the area are all normal and snow pack is down to about 1/3 of what it was 10 days ago...

Good Morning Beakers....It's Caturday!!!

Mama was discharged yesterday, and we were back to her house around 3pm.  She is still in alot of pain in her incision area, but they said that was to be expected.  I am going to try and rest today for my first leg of the trip back tomorrow.

Lani - Sweet sleeping kitty.

E4E - I think she will feel alot better when that pain will go away in the incision area.

oldguy - Glad that you were not injured.

karen - Thanks for the heads up. I will drive slow.  I am ready to get home.

Phyl - ((Maggie))

tsk - The menu looks great, and the Paella sounds wonderful!  I was going to ask how Tim is doing with the diabetes, but I see you mentioned.  That is great!

Lori - Thanks for the update on Jackie & Shadow....Congrats on egg#1!

tig - Great pics of the tree.

clynn - Love the pic of Sam & Sophie.  I am heading out tomorrow.  The potato soup recipe looks good.  Aww, Keebler and Helen

Good Morning Beakers!

Phyl, you have been up since the wee hours!  Thanks for the Holocaust Remembrance, so much sad history... That Maggie is a strong girl! The cuddle is a very good sign...  How are you and Jim doing?

Lisa, and you are also here in the wee hours before dawn! Good to hear that Mom is doing well, the worst is over! Now just to get through the recovery and she will be better than before!  Cute morning kitty!

Lani, I have taken so many pictures of Sam and Sophie, they are just so cute! They finally were able to jump the make-shift gate I had to my eBay room, so they are exploring constantly. We have had a few times that we couldn't find them, looked all over and there they are! I did get a load to the Goodwill yesterday, had to wait until Ed & Kelsey left to go junking! You and Kris have a good weekend!

E4E, I've not been getting much done with these kittens around!

oldguy, wow on Grindavík, something new. That kind of seals the fate of the town...  So glad to hear that you were not hurt by the awning falling...a close call!  Great Born to be Wild by the Rockin' 1000! Still watching the rest of the links, thanks!

tsk, the restaurant looks fancy, I would go for the salmon! Certainly not the grilled octopus with shishito peppers!  LOLOL!

karen, haven't made the soup yet, this weekend I will try it! Hopefully today!

The Banff Wildlife Crossings Project was implemented in Banff, Alberta.

Combined with fencing to keep the animals off the road, the structures have reduced animal-vehicle collisions in the area by more than 80% (>96% for elk and deer alone).

GOOD CATURDAY MORNING EVERYONE

High of 41 today  cloudy

PHYL   You are a remarkable Mom to little Maggie.  So glad to hear that once again she is on the rebound.  This is the holocaust museum a few miles from me in Skokie - Tim and I went several years ago.  Would take days to go through it all - Amazing place.   :'( :'(
https://www.ilholocaustmuseum.org/

KAREN   We are ready to build the ark here.  So rainy/dreary for several days now.   Do not think it will be in today's forecast.

OLDGUY    Glad you weren't hurt!!!    Steve Lehto's piece on appliances was spot on.  Give me back the days of Kenmore - everyone one bought Kenmore back then.   I had a washer before this one that I had to reboot!!!  What a joke.  The "best" nowadays is the one with the fewest repair calls.... ::) ::)    Darci Lynn  ;D   1,000 musicians - WOW
We are really seeing a lot of progress with Bellamy on instruments  ;D

LANI   Love the little pillow for good night kitty.

LISA   YAY  Mom is home and will heal faster!  Will your brother then cover for you?  How did getting in and out of bed work last night?
Tim's had one day so far where daily blood sugar was in the 120s....  He averaged all of his weeks the other day including the hospitalization, and the steroid injections for his hand joints and he is down to 150 ( vs 190s)

CLYNN    Love those road crossings.    I can imagine how much of your house those kitties have to explore  ;D

Well looky here - excitement in the windy.  I think it is encouraging and a nice discovery.  Hope there's further info; I might even dare a ride into the city.

My friend Theresa lives in the next town over, Westmont IL.  She follows the RRP channels; I decided to twist her arm to make the ride over with me to ATF in July.

Hope you're interested.
