(((Clynn and Family)))

Lani, thanks for the additional updates on Antali being attended to up-river by Finn, and now finding his way back to the nest. Yay!  Antali wanted to come home to see Mama Iris to tell her about his exciting adventures on the river with Dad Finn, and to get some good "home-nest cooking" from Iris.  :D :D :-* :-*  Now I'm waiting on some more recent news of sightings of Sum-eh, who had a successful fledge and returned to the nest and nearby perches, but I haven't seen news of Sum-eh in the last few days. I hope Sum-eh is still around and doing well, too.  :-* :-*  LOL on your funny Caturday video.  ;D ;D

TSK, glad you didn't get severe weather. I had seen there was a chance for that in your area. My sister plays Wordle with a group, too. I actually play the WordPlay game - same rules as Wordle, but with unlimited games anytime for free.

Puff, nice to get out for a bite with your neighbors and regale each other with your bug bites.  ;D

Lisa, what is Jeff putting on the grill today?

Karen, any news from your help about if she tested positive for covid? I hope you are still symptom-free. Will a different person come help you this week till your regular help returns?

OG, are you having Cards Night tonight?

I have the Cincinnati Open Tennis Tourney on in the background - quarterfinals today.

The US Open Tennis Tourney starts Monday, in New York! It will broadcast on different days and times on ABC, and ESPN's networks, including ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPN Deportes, and a number of other viewing/streaming options, such as Peacock. My boyfriend has withdrawn, but he plans to play at the Laver Cup, and I'm guessing that may be when and where he officially announces his retirement from professional tennis.  :-* :-*

The official US Open Tennis Tournament website is: https://www.usopen.org/index.html

P.S. Go Chiefs!  ;D

That preseason game is today!!  In about 20 minutes!  :D  The Detroit Lions at KC Chiefs, at 4pm, Eastern.  ;D I will be watching on cable TV's NFL Network channel, but there are other options.

Ben Stoterau took this gorgeous pic of corn and bean fields in Minnesota...also deer!

Love it

Off to dinner: just butternut squash soup, brioche buns, and fruit..of course with caramel sauce.

baz - Waving back at ya!  No grilling for Jeff today.  We have not ate pancakes in over a year, so we had a small breakfast, no lunch and for an early dinner about an hour ago, he made pancakes and breakfast sausage.  Yummy!  :D  Go Chiefs!!

kb - Sounds like a good dinner...enjoy!  Love the pic.

Puff  ;)

{{{CLynn/family}}} thinking of you all daily

Tsk 3 amigo kitties  :-* ; dad in cat fam snap has his eyes closed. LOL

Lisa sweet Momcat and kitten; Jim was up with the chickens doing weeding and tidy up the garage---esp since it's attached.
I asked what he wanted for Sat dinner ---Mexican take out. ' So be it"I said . Made some of my famous salsa yesterday it's been 'curing'
since then. Lots of chocolate for after . No clue for the entertainment.

Lani another sweet Momcat and kitten; tks for the updates on Antali  w/ snaps too.

OG  'Lady Luck' be w/ you at cards tonight.

Bazi  'Hi-de-hi. Ho-de-ho.'  ;)  Here's to your teams winning.

KB really enjoyed the deer and crop this AM; Dinner sounds good---this ol gal has to have a meat dish, though.  ::)

The osteo surgeon pronounced Dx was a slipped thumb  joint on both hands. This make my hand look 'square' instead of rounded.
 Surgery may still be option.

This is what I have to wear both hands  for the next 2 mos.

low profile and will fit 'neath gloves.  Still, too bad it doesn't come in 'tan'.

What will the cats of the future look like?
Even though cats were domesticated relatively recently, their relationship with has already changed them in surprising ways.

Here’s how your cat experiences the world
Cats use the same five senses as humans, but they view the world differently. Understanding them could make us better cat parents.

Phyl I am a real carnivore....I only have a dinner without meat maybe once a month. Had meat for lunchl
I have to have meat/fish protein every day and maybe more than most to feel normal energy and not have an increased appetite.

Learned this about myself in my 30's....

So, I'm with you...had a need to not cook so much this evening.

LISA   Went to the Decorah North thread and saw all the pics.  Do hope they will post a video of the highlights.

LANI    LOL  The cat getting the nose bops seemed very non-plussed by the whole thing  LOL

BAZI   Thanks for the tip on WordPlay.  Always looking for ways to keep my brain sharp!  Thanks for the tips on the US Tennis Open

KB   Deer do love corn!  Bucolic photo  :o

PHYL   Looks like a good thumb stabilizer.  Maybe better hand function as a result as thumb is in its proper position.

Baz, Sum-eh has been to the nest morning, noon and evening for fish since she fledged. She lands and chirps Iris and Finn's ears off for fish. She's seen several times a day. Today she was mad at Finn when he brought a stick to the nest instead of fish and she bit his leg.  ;D

Antali stands tall when Sum-eh arrives on nest to see her sibling home  :-*

LANI   Beautiful shot of the brother and sister at Hellgate  :)     Thanks so much for that video of the nest build - the eagles make it look so easy.  LOL  Would love to have seen what the base looked like.  I see they had to add another "branch" of wood for support.    Also it seems there will be only overhead shots into the nest?  It's a beautiful nest
