Karen, Yes, the GLS will gather the data for the next three years and be read when they return to find a mate. Most of these chicks will travel the seas and head to the southwest coast of Chile and South America, and spend most of the next two years there.... I followed Tiaki two years ago on their Interactive Map they also use a tracker device. She fledged and spent time around New Zealand then other small islands on her way to the southwest coast of Chile.
