GOOD MORNING

PHYL   Hope that Z-pack has kicked in and that you are feeling better?

TIG  I do that all the time.  Our pastor gets hacked all the time.  Hover my cursor because I know he would never email me  LOLOL

LANI   Never had a cat before who sniffs every inch of everything like it's her full time job.  LOL    Your spring tune up was a good one.  You passed GO and are good for another year  ;D   What a sweet good night photo - Hugs back

PUFF  We should hit 61 today - partly cloudy.

PHYL  Beauty of a morning on the flyway.

CLYNN   Bella looks so cute.  Tooth fairy box?  Safe trip tomorrow.  Wear your eye patch!  That hotel in "Chicago" where OJ stayed is about 1/2 mile from me.  LOL  It's still there.   I always use dusty millers as part of my bird bath garden.  They last way into fall.
What!!! another nest in the Hatchery area??  Confused tho.  If N1 is on one side of the bridge and N2B is on the other - How can the new nest be between them  yet on the same side as N2B???

Yesterday laid 20 bags of mulch in the front garden and today hope to finish washing all inside windows and screen.  Got my porch all cleaned and am already enjoying my favorite spot.  I hire to have all outside windows done.    Have friend Kathleen's wake later this afternoon and mass tomorrow AM.

Good Morning Beakers

It has been a busy week here - between work, sports and family, it seemed that I was always busy... ::)  So time to get caught up on some weather and videos.

I watched some of the Live weather with Ryan during the tornadoes this week - lots of damage and flooding in the SE...   :(  In the meantime, we did not get much here - .14 on Sunday and .2 yesterday - it was partly cloudy for the eclipse, high thin clouds that made the view thru the glasses as blurry at the peak (87%) here.  We had a temp drop of 2 degrees.  Forecast for the weekend is dry and near 80 for Sat. to Mon. and then dropping to near freezing for lows next weekend.

The Garden Center is fully stocked for the weekend - expecting it to be very busy - and I get to work it -  ::)  The plant tables were almost full when I left work yesterday and another truck was expected this morning with about 4000 more plants - half of them the small 6 packs.

Lani - your comment about the river rafting brought back a memory of a classmate that worked her summers during college on the Colorado river, guiding a raft down the river.  It was an unexpected job for her - she was an A student in HS and played sports, but was a quiet type.  She worked there in the early 70s.

LISA  Yesterday's mulch project took the both of us only about 45 min so that was OK.  Today the first round of windows was 1 hr 45 min. Then I rested a half hour.  The second round was an hour and now am resting.   I have 32 windows not including the 10 on the porch!  LOLOL   Insane.  Tim just repaired my garden soil where the "deer incident" was.  :(   Lunch is on the horizon and I'm done for today.

OLDGUY   That was a cute Walter Santi piece esp when kitty rubbed up against Walter and then slaps him as a thank you  LOL  Maru ate much of the Hana b-day party food standing up.  Never noticed that before.

oldguy - Thanks for the videos.  It's high tide here today, and lots of flooding around here.  I went out at lunch time, and had to detour twice on the way home.

tsk - You and Tim were speedy with that mulch laying yesterday.  Oh my goodness...32 windows, not counting the porch!   :( "deer incident" Enjoy your lunch!

Lani - Thanks for the Dunrovin update.  Hope all went well at your appointment.

some bounce

Well... Camper was a sweetie and acted as my chauffeur this afternoon. I received a heart event monitor which I will wear for a month. Joy. Not. I'll need to adjust and exercise only in the shallow end of the pool. And it will be good for me to use the recumbent bike more.
As Pooh would say... Oh, bother.
Counting my blessings...

{{{Baz and Zippo}}} take care, and be safe from the storms. I hope your appt goes well tomorrow.

All is well after my yearly check up, I'm good for another year!  8)
Traffic and crowds were a hassle, burgers were the BEST! Happy to be home in the Pines!

Good night![/i

Lani, yay for your good yearly check-up! And YUM on the burgers!!  :)  All good here - no severe storms my way. Lots of gusty high winds that knocked some trees across a few roads but that's all.  I LUV LUV that pic of the sloths hugging each other!  :-* :-*

Good Morning Beakers!

I am heading for Mom's in the morning, have a lot to do today! Erin sent pictures, Bella lost her first tooth!

baz, hope you get good news at the Dr today! Stay dry!

Benny Bruhling - Flying High, With Decorah Eagles: Decorah 04/11/24:
Goodmorning my fine feathered friends. Normally I don't photograph in the rain, but this was a special exciting occasion. As most of you know by now, a new nest in the pasture tree is under construction. This tree is located halfway between N1 and N2B on the same side of the stream as N2B. Decorah Eagles  - Sue Bruhling and I came down yesterday to investigate, after reading Gina Moccia Galligan post about construction being captured by live cam, it was a must go trip and the rain wasn't going to stop us. Time now to drink my coffee, get dressed and back to the hatchery, not sure what the weather man has in store for us today, but we will be there. My song choice for this post is:

Clynn, smooth travels to your mom's tomorrow!! Have a good trip and visit!! Aww. love those pics of Bella's grin showing she lost her 1st toofie!!  :) :-* :-* Seems like my greats' 1st toofie lost is usually one of the top front teeth, so it's fun to see Bella's snaggle is on the bottom front teeth... hope it's not on purpose - a get-rich-quick scheme on her part... LOLOL! Just kidding!  ;)  But I'm sure she'll make out good with the Tooth Fairy's visit!  :D :-*  Blue skies here today! Yay!  :)  I'm "cornfused" by Benny B's Decorah Eagles news-  a new nest under construction halfway between N1 and N2B - that's great! And no! I didn't know!! BUT, he didn't say if the building pair of Eagles there are any we know - is it Decorah Mom working on that new nest??

(((TSK))), thinking of you today regarding your friend, Kathleen, and her wake today. You laid 20 bags of mulch?!?!?  :o  Windows, screen, gardening, etc... wow! That's a lot! LOL on Lulu and her "smelling faces"- LOL!  :-*

I thought it was right singular, after all the posts about people's cats' reactions to different aromas - saw this yesterday... thought it was interesting, considering the related topic and posts in The Beak recently.  :D

Howdy Beakers!

My visit with the ortho hand specialist today went well. They did more xrays. They confirmed all 3 middle fingers on my right hand are sprained, but those sprains aren't severe enough to require any special intervention, and should recover on their own in time. Meanwhile... OUCH! They also confirmed the middle joint of the middle finger is broken. They replaced the original (lame) splint on that finger with a much more substantial one that protects it all around. Almost.  Well, at least way mo' better than the original splint!! Yay! They also told me that if I'm very careful, I can take it off to shower and put it back on. YAYAYAY!!!  PARRR-TAAAY!!!!   ;D  But they manipulated my hand and fingers so much in their evaluation and treatment that I was about howling by the time I walked out. I survived it though. LOL.  ;)  I go back again in 2 weeks. I ran a quick couple of errands and then went scrait home to take anti-inflammatories. Ahhh.. some better now.

I hope everyone is dry, in one piece, and has power today. Stay safe!  HAPPY WEEKEND!!  :)  :-*

Let me see if I can clear up the "New Nest" confusion.
The pair of eagles that are building the new nest by the road bridge (C) are Hatchery Mom and Hatchery Dad.
Something must have failed at the nest that they just built up on the Bluffs.

The new nest is about 1/2 way between N1 (A) and N2B (B).
N1 is to the south of Trout Creek and N2B is to the north of Trout Creek as is the new nest.
