Thanks, Oldguy!!  Great pic!!  :)

Lani, I missed your post earlier about Dunrovin's osprey, Swoop, accepting a new female there, and that Harriet hasn't returned there yet. I'm very sad about Harriet.   :(  :-* If she isn't able to return this year, then I hope Swoop and the new female there will have a good nesting year.  :-*

Tig, glad you got the monitor. Hope the month goes fast! Meanwhile, you'll get a change in your regular routine a bit.

Lisa, glad no flooding at your home. Stay safe!

Good Night Beakers. My hand is done for typing fornow. Peace. SED.

P.S. The smoke alarm over my bed starting chirping 15 minutes ago - every couple of minutes!! !! NOT my weather radio this time!! WHA'??How can that be?? I'm going to dust it with my extension pole duster and see if that fixes it... the battery shouldn't be run down yet! It's less than a year old, and the battery is for backup only - the batteries in my smoke alarms only activate when I lose power, because the alarms are wired into the house's electrical system. I'm hoping maybe a "bug" found it and I can take care of it with my duster pole ... else I have to pay someone to change the battery - need an extension ladder to do it. Ugh. So weird it's happening after the false alarm the other day, too, Good law... and my Weather Radio just now blared while typing this!! whaaa?!? - a severe t-storm warning for 2 adjacent counties. Lots happening in my bedroom!! LOL!  Oh lawww... I sure hope I don't have to listen to that smoke alarm beep over my head all night tonight.  ::)

Update. LOL, I could've sworn the smoke alarm beep was coming from my left side, as I sat at my computer, meaning it was coming from my bedroom. I went to get my extension pole and screw-on duster, and stood under it. There was a beep - but not from the one in my bedroom! LOL! So I stood under the alarm at the top of the cathedral ceiling in my living room and waited. The beep beeped, but not from that smoke alarm either!! !! So I stood under the smoke alarm in my front bedroom, and BEEP!! That's the one!! Good law... That one is the "master" alarm - all 3 of my smoke alarms are connected, and maybe the latching got messed up when I thought my alarm was beeping the other day and I went around testing them, when it turned out that was the time it was the weather radio and not any of the smoke alarms beeping. But maybe I got them out of sync or something. Anyway, I pressed and held the master alarm in the front bedroom, and it hasn't beeped again since them. So I'm hoping it just needed to be reset. I don't really think that would be the case though, because if so, it would've been beeping for the last 2 days, and it hasn't. It isn't my hearing. LOL! Maybe a bug was in that one - a wayward little house spider or something, which can set them off, and he got blown out, or skedaddled, after I sounded it just now. LOL. Anyway... the good news #1 is it isn't making any sound now. And the good news #2 is that alarm is on a ten foot ceiling, and I can change its battery myself using my step ladder when it needs it. But I don't think it needs it now.

The End.

Oh puh-lease... while I was getting ready to hit "Post" on this it started beeping again. I'm going to get my step ladder out and change the battery in it right now! !! !!  Sheese. At least it's the one I can reach myself!!  LOLOL!

LANI    Hip dog - too funny  ;D  I would have stayed in the car  like Shannon   LOL   Swoop's new lady friend is a real beauty and easily identifiable.   I may have missed somewhere but why does Swoop do that "submissive?" behavior when Beauty was on the nest

TIG  So you can't get this monitor wet?  How would you describe it?

LISA   What do you know about that "new nest" being built - further along the bike path down from N2B???? Is that where it is?  Never mind - I see BL has a visual..

BAZI  Wake started at 4 and I got there early at 4:15 - Already a 10 min line...Lots of photos to pass by while waiting. :'(   Interesting about the worst cat smells..Would never have guessed some of them - I may try my coffee grounds and AM banana tomorrow to check it out. :-\     Good visit except for trying to stay in your chair with all the pain.  :o :o  Did they try and straighten the 3rd finger or do they rely on the splint to do that.  You  had mentioned, I thought, it was at a wonky angle?  I just completely deleted 5 sentences of explanation  based on the first note about your alarm beeping  LOLOL  Should have read on..

BL   Now I can sleep tonight - thanks for that pictorial explanation.  I would have gotten it if someone had said new nest was closer to where the horses graze or North of N1   LOLOL   So HM and HD have been ID.  Sure do wonder what happened there!!!

Good evening beakers!   ;D.
Had a beautiful weather day here with some wind! My helper called in the agency with a need to stay home with her son!   They sent a replacement  and that did not work for me! She   Did help me make a pot of chili and swept the porch!  I suggested she could go home if she wished!  She did!   Lolol!  Chili was good, now in the fridge in individual containers for another day!  Dishes and pots washed and some , put away!
After the help left, I got i. The car and took a little drive!  First attempt since I fell and ended up in shady  pines !   It was a tad more difficult than I thought it would be with my eye sight!  Will try it again soon!
Interesting to see what  the hatchery kids will do for a home!
Tsk, wish I had been out spreading mulch but, not windows!   Hate that!
Prayers for Kathleen’s soul!
Only had help 5 hours this week!    My back began to ache reading about Tsks work!
Clynn, take care on your drive and hug your Mama for me!    Have a good trip to  Home Goods!   Bella looks cute  and proud of her mike stone!   Hope tge kitties behave forEd.
Baz, put a baggie on your hand!   Tape it on!
Good to see you OG!
Lori?   How are you?  Thanks fir the posts, Eagles, Lani , Lisa and Phyl!
Nite all!

NOTE: I composed the post below a little over 2 hours ago. LOL, just as I was getting ready to hit "POST," I noticed my TV went quiet... and the picture was still... You gotta be kidding me... ha ha ha!!!  I lost my internet and cable TV!!! Spectrum outage in my area - it just now came back on. So I'm going to leave this last post for today, that was supposed to have been posted over 2 hrs ago.  My Frustration Gauge is at FULL for the day... I need to empty it.  ::)

__________________________________________________

I changed that goldarn battery in the bleeping beeping smoke alarm. Peace at my house at last!  ;D ;D 8)

While I was at it, I also changed the filter for the heat and A/C air return - on the ceiling in the hallway a few feet from where I changed the smoke alarm battery. Done. And done.  ;)

TSK, it sounds like there may be many people at the funeral tomorrow. Hugs.

I wonder what led the Hatchery Mom and Dad Eagles to abandon the nest at the bluffs - I don't know what state it was in... I don't think I even realized they had established a nest at the bluffs either. Maybe a storm took it down. I have lost track - didn't they have an eaglet? Or egglet? I've gotten all discombobulated about what the status was for them this nesting season! Anyway, they will be closer to the hatchery raceways now, if I understand where they are building now... and the trout stream. Thanks again, BL and OG.

G'night, All. I mean it this time.
 ;D

Peace. Out!  8)

Tig - Thanks for the head up, but no weird emails from you over here! ;D  Besides, you will usually text, rather than email! :)

BL-  Led Zeppelin!  8)   Great map of the new nest location!

Lani- How exciting that you have rafted on the CO river!!  I too, love In & Out Burger!  Good for you in planning out what you will be doing when Mike is gone next week.  I bet you get a lot done outside!   Beautiful Osprey pic!

Phyl - Cute DNN pic!

Clynn - How cute Bella is with her first tooth missing1!  Can't wait to hear if the Tooth Fairy visits her!!   Have a fun and safe trip to your Mom's!!    Awe, Harley sleeping after his breakfast!   Thanks for posting Benny Bruhling! All good, even the song!

Tsk - So nice of you to attend your friend's Wake - I'm sure it is appreciated to see you there!   Wow, you & Tim are busy outside! ;D

LisaG - Okay, glad that Bandit isn't interested in eating your outdoor flowery plants. :)  Wow, you detoured twice today!  Hope it didn't take you too much longer!

Og - With temp at 80 on Saturday, I bet you will be very busy in the garden area at work!!

Tig - Camper is so sweet in how he watches over you! :)   But then, I know you do the same for him!!

Baz - Interesting how some kids lose an upper tooth or a bottom tooth as their first lost tooth!

Karen - Yum! Bet your pot of chili was delish!!  Nice that you got out and took a little drive. :)

Beakers have a good night.

Top teeth or bottom teeth first...

Which tooth do kids usually lose first?
Baby teeth, also known as primary teeth, milk teeth or deciduous teeth, usually begin to fall out around the age of 6. Girls often lose their first tooth before boys, and the most common teeth to lose first for children are the bottom front two teeth (known as lower central incisors).

Can kids lose top teeth before bottom?
Losing Baby Teeth: When Do Kids Lose Teeth & What to Expect
The baby teeth usually come out in the same order that they came in. The bottom front teeth go first, followed by the top front teeth, and so on down the jawline in order.  Jul 30, 2019

{{{Tsk}}} thinking of your friend Kathleen, family and friends... sending hugs.... ospreys do the submissive pose when they are mating or they first see their mates after the winter months apart.... kind of cute.

Hi Lisa, I had a good checkup, good for another year!  8)

{{{Tig}}} you and Camper take care.  :-*

{{{Baz}}} Good Lord! All this beeping! Way too much activity going on in your home for someone with a broken finger and much rest is needed. I can only imagine how Zippo dealt with the noise....  Glad your ortho hand specialist went well.... my cats don't seem to mind the citris or scented candles, considering I have them going all the time. And they hang out with me. And we live in a pine forest...coffee grounds, bananas...  poor things are surrounded by smells they can't stand, hm, that explains a lot.

Phyl, I checked on the Sauces nest. I guess something happened to the egg.  :-\ ... Harriet has had this nest for almost 14 years or at least as long as I've been watching. Her first mate Ozzie was killed in the summer by an RTH in the summer of 2014. If she does not return, it means something happened during the winter months or on her migration south. Ospreys are very territorial like eagles.

Thanks BL for explaining the new Decorah nest. That's a shame the other didn't work. Someone thought they might have eggs. I hope they didn't... I hope all goes well for them... great map of Decorah.

Oldguy, awww mama cat and 4 kittens. I checked out other rescue videos from Cat Man Chris. I follow all of the rescue vids you've posted. So many animals in need of a home.

{{{Karen}}} sorry about your help situation... chili sounds good.... good for you trying to do a bit of driving. It's been one day and one step at a time and you're doing fantastic! Sleep well tonight, you've had a busy day.

SED Eagles, Puff, Kb  :-*

{{{Clynn}}} Safe travels and have a great time with your mom and friends! Lots of prayers will be said for you on your travels. :-*

Good night!
Iris returned home tonight after a couple days away.

Good Morning Everyone.  Happy Caturday !!

Currently: 43F clear with a   High  77F sunny,  Low 38F

   Hurrah, Iris is back !

Lani- I remember about Ozzie/Harriet. It was my 1st year (2014) in
here when  Ozzie was killed  that summer by RTH . Yeah I know if Harriet doesn’t retun it’s  cuz ‘something’s happened’. But one can hope for a fairy-tale outcome.
Re: Sauces, yeah ‘chat’ said egg broke. That’s been the problem last season and now this season. Jak and  Audie may try again. I hope they do.

Baz-if you don’t let your hand rest….!
Karen- you’re doing some driving? Great.
You know, I have been thinking of  making a batch of chili all week long.
Clynn- hope you arrive at your mom’s safely

Prayers for:     Our friend and ally the Nation of Israel and peace for her people. Laken Riley, all those like her and family; Eaglesrock . All abandoned, abused  cats and feral cats; The Bluebirds of Cane Ridge, Tennessee, Hummingbirds, Bumble Bees  and Honey bees everywhere . The Beakroom and Cheers.
