Bouncie

The Tom and Jerrys were made with Grand Marnier tonight. Extra yummy they were.

Good conversation and company. Bro and I reminiscing about regifting the same bottle of Old Spice to Dad for about 6 yrs. Wrap, give, return to the shelf in closet. Repeat. Lol. He never had occasion to use it. He could not understand why Mom, Bro and I were doubled in laughter every Christmas.

Tsk, Mike asks for turkey only two times a year. He loves the leftovers...  :)

Phyl, thanks for nature video.

Karen, oh, I love Prime Rib roast, it's been a long time since I've made that. Yum!! ... oh no, sorry about your dishwasher... I use mine maybe once a month, it's old and I say a prayer when I turn it on.... I don't know if mine has a filter  ??? .... Yes, I agree, today's appliances do not last long! I hope Bubba comes to help soon.

Lisa, your morning Christmas roll looks like a krispy kreme! YUM!!

Tig, I do dishes by hand, and rarely use the garbage disposal... Love your Christmas story and memory of regifting Old Spice to your dad! LOL! Sounds like it was a fun night.  ;D

Hi Kb,

Puff, thanks for update at DN, SWFL & Trem.

BL, I would love that sink you have. I've seen a few of those in Kansas.

KAREN   That is so funny!!!  Now the filtered water.  Do you have the kind that is attached to your faucet?  We just use the Brita variety.  Mom hung clothes on the line til she died!  Yes two items under 1 clothes pin. Put the whites in the sun so they get bleached!

TIG  What a great story about the Old Spice   ;D ;D ;D ;D  Sounds like a fun time with that yummy adult beverage.  ;) ;)

BL   That is some sink!

LANI     Actually turkey in itself is the easiest meal to prepare and certainly the most economical as you can get so many meals from it.

Good Morning and Happy Caturday!
Tsk, I agree with you about turkey dinners being easy and economical!    I used to cook one in the summer without all the sides.  Great with potatoe salad, sandwiches, etc!   Just read about Paulis dinner of roast pork and sauerkraut and I am going to get a can of Bavarian sauerkraut and dig an oversized pork chop out of the freezer for New Years Day!  Thanks Pauli , if you are browsing in tge beak!
Ohyl, I like Marie Callandar pies.  Think Mrs. smiths are better but she doesn’t have the Razzleberry, I do not think!    There was a pie company in Michigan, many years ago that made the best pies, ever!  Better than home made or at least as  good.  The pies were very full of fruit, which I think were local as the pies were almost available in seasonal.   One of the best of these large pies was Rhubarb!  Absolutely to die for.   Cannot remember the name  of  company but they were the best!
Tsk, I use Brita  filters on a pitcher , not on the sink but it is not working!  Lol.  Will keep working in it but in the mean time I have tge bottled kind for my 64 ounces a day!
I had forgotten about the whites in the sun for the bleaching, but you are correct
Almost 70 now. Going to 77!    A day fot bermudas and a tee!  Humidity ishig and tge fig as nit burnedoff as yet!   Z4 or 5 days of the z70’s and tgen some highs in the 50’s then, upagain!
Have a good day!

A rare African black leopard under the stars - a photo that took the photographer 6 months to capture Credit: Will Burrard-Lucas

After around 24 hours of rain, now gone, no snow in my back yard....only thing left is my piles at the end of my driveway. I just tried breaking them up to melt better and give me more room into the driveway, and not much luck. Too icy.

Dense fog this early morning is giving away to cloudy only so heading out sans coat for Ollie as it's stil high 30's. No cleats either....Should be enjoyable other than no sun around here for a very long long time.

Happy Saturday all.

Karen, we use Zero Water.

Kb, gorgeous African Black Leopard.

Good Afternoon Beakers.....Happy Caturday!

karen - Oh no, not the filtered water pitcher too!

BrokenLug - That is some kitchen sink.

tig - LOL, on the re-gifting.

Lani - That donut was making me hungry.  Walmart did not have any fancy wreath decorated ones, but I did get some choco frosted colored spinkled ones.   :D

Phyl - I have never had the Razzelberry one, will have to try that as Jeff likes different berries.

tsk - Pretty morning greeting.  So true about getting many different meals from turkey.

kb - That is a great capture of the African black leopard under the stars.

KAREN   Must be a new fangled Brita - Mine is old and can't imagine how it wouldn't work.  Tomorrow is another day and all will be well again  :-* :-*

KB    Awesome black leopard.  One patient photographer is Mr Burrard-Lucas :o

LANI   Maru and Hana are a real kick  ;D

LISA   What a sweet kitty  ;D ;D

Just back from B&T's hosting the family on Tim's side - sisters/cousin. Pot luck and mimosas and cookies.  Kim his cousin who is handy at everything!! -  smelled gas when she was helping put things away in the basement when everyone left.  She thought it was the water heater.  Neither Barb or I could smell it.  Sure enough Nicor came out and 3 leaks around the water heater - two fixed and valve to fireplace shut off to be dealt with when they return from Florida.  YIKES - a close one.

TSK, YIKES! That's scary!! So glad she smelled it and it got checked and fixed! So, did they not have a CO detector? Or it wasn't working? My gosh, that is too scary!!

Lani, I want some of Mike's turkey!!

Phyl, I think some brands of pies are better than the others, but I don't remember thinking of any of them as too sweet, just that some of them have more filling than fruit - and the ones with more whole fruit in them are my fav, and maybe they are less sweet.

Karen, I used to use a Brita filter pitcher - for years. I gave up on them finally - too glitchy and the filters don't last long enough. Is yours the pitcher, or the dispenser? What is it doing that you say it isn't working? Is the water not filtering through at all, or too slowly, or what?
Try this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WkdMnpsyUs0

Waving to All the Beakers!  :)

I took an ibuprofen, and my cane, and walked for 47 minutes today, though I need to subtract 5 minutes from that because I stopped for 5 minutes to talk to a neighbor and her dog on the sidewalk. Nice day!! It was an unusually warm 72 degrees and humid - not sure what the high actually got to - that might have been the high, not sure. Like Karen, I will have 70-ish temps for the next 3 more days, with rain and possible severe storms tomorrow - from the same system that spawned tornadoes in TX, and moved/will move through MS, LA, and FL and GA tonight and in the morning - though I'm sure Karen's temps will be warmer than mine.

Everyone in the path of the severe storms, please stay safe and alert, especially overnight tonight, with a way to wake you in case of tornado. Prayers for those in the path of the storms.

Good night, Beakers. Peace. SED.

Lani-- ' The Thinker'   ;D

Lisa-- MC's Razzleberry, tart and sweet.  I've made turkey burgers, but seasoned differently  ...I'm sure someone's made a turkey meatloaf...

KB-- tks... starry night black leopard still have the 'rosettes' of the yellow (regular) leopard...just have to look closer   :o   LOL    or use a telephoto lens

Karen-- we use PUR on the water faucet for Maggie...the side by side has a water filter built in to it's water dispenser

Baz--premedicate is a good idea; those temps of yours and Karen's Springtime...we have another 5 mos . give/take   before we get there .  :)  Although  this 'ol desert gal will take the heavy rains and T storms over snow.  Marie Callendar fruit pies are whole fruit. LOL.
Take care walking..

Lisa--it's just round turkey seasoned made into a patty as one would do with ground beef. I make them often ...

Tsk--oops I miss that...oh my gas leaks/water heater. A very close 'one' !. Glad it was caught in time. Whew...
