TGIF!  Foggy and going to  70 this afternoon.
Been the weekend all week!  Lol.
Phyl I do not know about Eds Mom.  I said his family.  Maybe sister.
Lani, i love turkey, etc  for  Christmas too!   Too much food tho.  My other favorite is Prime Rib roast. Also like squash cassarole.
Think my dish washer is broken and it is fairly new!  Hate these new appliances!   The older ones worked much better!
Have a good day!

Good Morning Beakers.....TGIF!!!

Lori - Thanks again for the piece on Bob & Tim. It was a good read.

tsk - Mmm, the meals you are making sound delish!  Pretty morning greeting.

Phyl - Yes, that cocoa was over the top  ;D  Thanks for the 365.

karen - I have a rib roast in the freezer, that we bought on sale.  The last time I cooked one, I did it in the crock pot.  It came out OK, but this time I want to do it in the oven.  Amen to the Snoopy!  Oh no, sorry about your dishwasher!

oldguy - I went to grocery store day after Christmas....out was the Christmas candy, and in was Valentine's candy.  They wasted no time.  ;D

Lani - I would do the same as you, if I won the Lotto!  Love the good night pic.

Puff, tig, kb and all - Morning  :)

I baked a small ham for Christmas Day, green bean casserole and potatoes au gratin, salad.
Razzelberry pie...   ;D  Redi Whipp to top.
Would be wonderful winning Tenn Lottery...what I wouldn't do for humanity and wildlife and pets   ;)

Karen--tks I mis-read  about Clynn/Ed visiting his family,that's for sure. I hope they have a nice time.
And, sure hope you get your dishwasher issues worked out.  Gosh I hated dishwashing by hand---those yucky pans.
As a teenager that was my assigned task  the evening's  dinner dishes . Plus a few other chores on weekends.

Lisa--that's really fancy donut with a  cuppa latte  to match.   Rib roast sounds yummy.  Not surprised about   switching out  on holiday candy..
I had just been thinking wouldn't be long before the next celebration (Valentine's Day)..then Easter, May Day, etc..

Ranger Sharyn Broni - Kia ora koutou (hello everyone)

The Royalcam nest. To have both parents fitted with Geo tags is wonderful. Now, they will be able to track parents. Hopefully, this will help solve the positioning of lost adult mates during their seasons.

After (mom GLG) arrived back at Signal Station Trig nest for her turn at incubating the egg on the 26th of December it was decided to GPS tag her while she is fresh on the nest. Geo Positioning Tags are very light weight and are cable tied to the strong back feathers between the wings. They will fall off after around a year when these feathers are moulted. We will receive the data via satellite so do not need to retrieve the device to see the information that it has gathered of the bird’s whereabouts. We hope to gain foraging location insights from the data.  The egg was placed in the incubator prior to tagging and returned once she was settled on a dummy egg on the nest. Dummy eggs are kept warm in the incubator until use, so it is near the bird’s body temperature when placed in the nest. Toroa are very accepting of eggs that are fake or not their own making dummy eggs great tools for conservation management.

In the meantime, (dad) RLK/KA85 is around 500km from Pukekura, and nearing Rēkohu/Chatham Islands.

Great posts ALL...

I'm sorting, cleaning, prepping... for Bro n S.I.L. tonight. Snacks, Tom and Jerrys, cookies.

HAGD

p.s. we've never had a garbage disposal nor a dishwasher. Always a container for food scraps by the sink. And I now line anything that goes in the oven with non-stick foil. For the saute pans I soak them in water and/or use Dawn Power wash dish soap spray.

PHYL   Thanks for all the season's highlights.

KAREN   OH NO  What is the symptom of it not working?  Did you check "troubleshooting" area of manual?

LISA   Beautiful cuppa and "wreath donut"  :D   No kidding on the Valentines candy  :o

LANI   Thanks for the albie update.  They have quite a system going. Attach tracking and egg switch all at the same time.

TIG  I grew up that way as well.  Dad got so tired of fixing the garbage disposal that he took it out.  We hardly ever use ours here.  There is so much you cannot put down it's not worth it to keep track.

Rain all day here, yet my sis in Rogers nada...this stripe from Iowa that doesn't quit.

We threw out the small dishwasher that came with the house as it kept burning the racks. No problem here doing dishes by hand.

My disposal lasted almost 20 years....don't mind replacing it here for about 100 bucks esp if it lasts another 20 years..

Nothing newsy happening at hatchery area, NN, SWFL, Trem, so mostly just open as screen saver at the hatchery.  Not positive if it's HD or HM, but it is persistent.  He, I think, has been by the cliff trees since 8 this morning.  Is he a he, or her.  What's the decision - a  regular or a shopper?

All day, truth be told, slow day.  Did I nap off and just miss something?

Tsk, dishes came out dirty and pods laying on the bottom of washer.  Did some on line  Troubleshooting and decided the problem is with the filter.  I never knew there were filters in the dishwasher or that they had to be checked and washed every month.  I think I know where the filter is located, but I was unable to move it in order to take  it out and the help wasn’t able to do anything either ! she wash the dishes I dried some.

when the towel got wet I put the rest of the plates in the dishwasher and  will let them sit there until they’re dry , washing is not going to be a problem as I will have
no big dinners between now and Tuesday when the repair person is supposed to show up at  noon!  Who knew there was a filter in there!   I obviously did nit read the instructions.   The dryer vent is s rewedup as well?  Bubba who is to fix that has not said when he is coming,  there is water in the pipe and there are tree routs in there!  Vent is under the house and is bot straight!
Phyl. Nice dinner!
Lani, good Royal     Albie report!   Thanks for posting!

Phyl - The Razzelberry pie, is that Marie Callendar’s?

Lani - Thanks for the Royal update.

Tig - No dishwasher or garbage disposal here either.  There are days I wish I had a dishwasher. 😂

Tsk - The wreath donuts looked too pretty to eat.

Kb - You got good use out of that disposal.

Puff - I have been watching the Hatchery most of the day.  I am pretty sure that was HM we have been seeing on cams.

Karen - Hope Bubba come out soon, and the dishwasher repair guy too.

Tsk, everything comes in threes!   Dishwasher, dryer vent and now my filtered water pitcher!   This afternoon the help changed the  filter  and now it is not working! Will get some bottled water tomorrow  and then see what is wrong with the pitcher!   Hope this is all!   Lol

I've been washing dishes since I was 5 years old like the Maytag man.

I've eaten some exquisite vittles in my day.

4 things one experiences universally on our planet is oxygen music food and water.

I couldn't speak the language but I as sure as guest could wash a pot and dance and groove on the indigenous music.

Pip and I have this kitchen sink 60/40 2 tub from the 50's.

It's 8 feet of bull nose cast iron and vintage porcelain perfectly laid flat as the day it was cast.

That 3 ' just so sloped and ridged porcelain drain board.

I just want to hug this iron poorer.
