Lori, thanks for the gifs! Nice to see you back here.

Early changeover egg views look the same as yesterday.  DNF is more reluctant to leave the nest today, and MrN is bringing a good stash of fish.  About 2:00, she too a break and he came to incubate.  It's all on Eagle Time.

Dinner time at the North nest, each selected a fish.  DNF is staying on the nest, cooing to the eggs.  MrN made time for a dip in the creek, then brought wet grasses to the nest before flying off.  No hatch yet.

Lori, thanks for the gifs of DN17.  Looks like a strong and healthy fuzzball.

Baby pictures for our watchers . . .    ;D
In the night, DNF wingflapped at something, and at almost daylight, MrN came to the nest where both were listening to owl calls in the distance.  I think I heard the owl hoots during the morning hours, too.  Confirmation from Explore???
First baby pic posted here shows a dry, fluffy, active bobblehead, so DN17 must have hatched during the nighttime hours.

More pics of the first hatchling.  Is this a record early date?

There's an eggshell with a round pip in the 9:00 AM pic.  Is that the old eggshell, or a new pip in the second egg?

DNF fed tiny bits of fish, and I think at least one bit got swallowed.

Hi, it's nice to be back thankyou. :)  I did hear the owls yesterday morning... they were very vocal.  I rewound and see she wing flapped a few times early this morning, it could have been the storm coming in at that time... but the owls are definitely around  ::)  Take care!
