6.40 am  She is in the box and appears to be laying an egg.
Flash flies in but remains on green, does not go inside.
After a bit he went in very carefully.

Its TIME for an egg.  We cant see inside so we dont know til a week after chicks hatch.

I am reasonably sure there's an egg.
6.30 am  Flash arrived, looked down inside awhile, went inside.  He may be keeping egg warm and/or turning it.  He is a great Dad.

She usually lays 4 eggs -  she was inside all night last night - so she has eggs.
NOT full incubation yet - so likely 2 eggs.

6.30 am  Flash is there inside with prey

Flash arrived before dawn today for his turn on their eggs.
He is such a good Daddy!  He usually has 4 eggs, but since there is no cam inside the box we never know til the chicks hatch.  Sometimes his mate is banded, sometimes its this girl.

7 am  Flash was on the eggs, when he suddenly looked down, looked around, looked confused and flew out and away.  After a short while Nellie came and looked surprised he was gone.  I figured he'd gone for prey - and sure nuff.  He showed up with nicely dressed prey.  I love this male!

He left with the prey, for whatever reason - but I figure either a hatch or close.

ALONE

2.30 pm  The eggs / baby(s) were left ALONE at least 15 minutes.
I've checked often and when I checked at 2 no one was home.
It was 2.15 before Flash arrived.

3.30 pm  Flash is so tender with the brood. 
4 pm  No sign of Nellie

Last year someone opened the door of the box and scared her away a long time.  DUMB.

At dawn Flash is still inside the box.
7.30 am  Nellie showed up with prey. 
But she left again - with prey.
Flash remains baby sitting

April 30, 2023  SITUATION:  ODD
Flash was inside, female arrives with small dressed prey.
Flash leaves.  Then female leaves - with prey.
No one inside about 2 minutes - and its COLD.
They must have a stash nearby.
Maybe feeding later today - we'll see.

My only guess - and its only a guess - is - someone looked inside the box Apr 28 and female left so suddenly she scattered the eggs.  Flash arrived and pulled the eggs together.  I saw him rooting around in the end near cam.

SITUATION:  STILL ODD

8.30 am  Nellie was down in incubation mode.
Suddenly she raised up her head, looked around, nervous ( scared ? ) -
I had to leave my computer a few minutes, when I returned she was gone.
O here's Flash, he just arrived.

Flash has had a banded mate in the past.  Hope he doesnt choose this female in 2024.

Nellie was inside looking VERY nervous.
8.30 am  She left and I saw men in blue helmets messing around near her box.

9  She returns to the perch - sits out there watching ... goes inside but still nervous.
She left again almost right away

( I had an appt - was gone )
11.15 am  No falcon and 2 men up on roof

NOON she returns.
This is a LOT of time off eggs at this point!

I am NOT seeing any chick feeding.
I am unsure why not.
I see unusual behavior by female - nervous Nellie - and between the 2 adults.

I wonder if this the female's first brood.
Maybe its NOT a mate from a previous year.

Flash is such a dear.  I just love him.

4.30 am  Prey is delivered to the box - presumably by Flash but too dark to tell

5.30 am  Flash comes with more prey, she leaves.
Flash appears to be feeding his young

1.30 pm  Nervous Nellie is inside - looking up, down, around - I dunno was goin on.
Flash watchs from the high perch atop the rigging on the roof.
Nellie watchs from up there too sometimes

2 pm  Nellie looks like she's feeding chick - Flash brot prey
