Tsk, I was thinking the same but I do not understand how an eagle can abandon a home next door to an abundant buffet!   Then there are the strip stores with the occasional road kill close by!   We will know the answer soon!

Lani, that is one elegant zebra!  Is she waiting for Baz or a  handsome dude in black tie?

A High school friend called the other day to say she was cooking a dish she got off the computer a few yeats ago!  It sounds delicious and perfect for cold weather!  Easy too!
2 lbs of beef stew meat
I can of cream of mushroom soup
1 souo can of water
1 package of French onion soup mix
1 package of brown gravy mix
Mix all together and put in a covered dish.
Bake at 300 degrees for 3 hours!
Serve over noodles! I THINK IT COULD BE DONE IN A SLOW COOKER.
I WOULD SAUTE A LITTLE GARLIC AND SOME MUSHROOMS.
She said the meat was melt in your moth tender and tasty!

Puff one of the athlete types in my High School took typing!  Many thought it would be easy!  He became very frustrated and hit the return so hard it came off and sailed toward the windows!  It did stop before breaking glass!  He truly needed an anger management class more than typing

Seds

Karen, that dish sounds very yummy and easy. Seems like it would be easy to convert to a slow cooker version. Along with your additions, you could add a bit of Worcestershire and some sour cream at the end and it would be stroganoff!

HAPPY CATURDAY, BEAKERS!  :D

Lani, LOL, I love it when cats stick one leg under, or through a small space, and then feel around for stuff!!  ... it's so comical to me!!  :D :D  I know you loved your MIL so much. Remembering her birthday.  ((Hugs)).  Hope you have a fun afternoon out with Mike, and watch out for those carts when you turn the corners of those aisles!!  :o :D  Watching my Heels play football now... they need a win today!! I see your KU Jayhawks play later (7p my time, I think I saw).

Clynn, your first Caturday pic today expresses exactly how I felt when I woke up.  :D  Toby, Sissy, Tommy, and Dobie and Zelda!!!  ;D ;D  Okay... I'll stop now.  ;) :D

Karen, TSK, Lisa, Lani, and All Y'all... you're making me hungry for some yummy warm and tender beef stew!!  I also love those wide egg noodles, and haven't had any for eons (they're so expensive now, for noodles - yeah, I know, they have eggs in them... but egg prices are mostly back down!!  someone's making a BIG profit on them!! ) ... So, would you put a scoop of that stew on some noodles for me, please?
  :D

For Real!!   ;D

Have a great afternoon, Beakers!  :D

BL - Thank you, thank you for Little Feat. I had to taste me some Dixie Chicken and then dance away to Oh, Atlanta! What a trip. What a fine band of musicians.

Lovely day today so what ever you have to do you have a lovely day to do it in, ta da!
Piper and I have been enjoying a day of football, a lunch of chili, and sunshine!
My father had a year or two of piano, could sight read and played the piano by ear!   He worked his way thru dental school at Loyola, In Chicago.  He had a dance band calked the Doctors of Rhythm.  Life was different, back in the day!
Cooking a small steak for dinner and a baked potato.  Have not had one for ages so will enjoy it!
Nothing new here so I wish all a good Saturday and may the best or the favorite team win!

Phyl, I wonder if that cat actually sleeps in that room!  Very cute, looks like a tv that's on, maybe a mini tablet or iPad? Just read the article, yes, it's a tablet!  YOU ARE NOT A FAILURE AS A CAT PARENT!  ;D ;D

T40, good videos, love the one of the cat and the ducklings, wow!

karen, Ed plays the piano by ear! He told me his Mom had him take lessons and the piano teacher told her not to waste her $$$ because he played by ear. I guess those people can't be taught correctly! Doctors of Rythm, was it a jazz band?

kb, yes, that looks like a migration!

baz, I'll take all the cat names you can come up with! I just have to make sure they are names Kelsey can say, (there are some sounds she can't say well). Groceries, why aren't the grocery stores bringing their prices down! Seems to me that any time they raise the price on something for whatever reason (freeze, blight, catastrophe or whatever) they NEVER lower them when the crisis is over!  I refuse to pay $5.99 for a bag of Ore-Ida french fries!

Lani, hope you had a successful shopping trip! Did you go to the valley?  Love that cat paw reaching for the candy...

Wonderful Day - Laura Failner is a SkyWest flight attendant. She witnessed this moment of kindness. The world would be a much better place if everyone is like her.
"I love looking for the good in the world! As I flew up to Washington today, I had this cute little 94-year-old lady get on my plane. She was frail and had a hard time getting back to her seat. There was a bit of confusion about where she was supposed to be seated. In first-class, this wonderful gentleman saw her plight and flagged me down. He said, "can you please get her and put her in my seat, and I will take hers." He walked back with me to get her and take her to first class. She was so touched. The woman gave him a big hug and said, "Never in my 94 years has someone done that for me. Thank you, young man." She had tears of gratitude. It was amazing how his thoughtful act changed the attitude of everyone on the flight. May we all look for the little things we can do to help others around us and show kindness. In this crazy world, let's all try to be the good." 🥰🥰🥰

History Three Thousand - The olive tree of Vouves, on Crete. This tree, which has a trunk 15 feet in diameter, is at least 2,000 years old, and likely 2,900 years old, based on the graveyard found nearby. This tree likely lived through the writing of the Iliad, the golden age of Athens, the rise of the Roman Empire, and the birth of Christ and then lived for 2,000 years after that. It still produces olives, as well!

Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away. ~ Unknown

Lot of good  Caturdays  folks and the day's not over, yet!  ;D

CLynn very nice memories of you mom. I enjoy reading them. Like you, I never needed to take Home Ec. She passed it all down---my girl friends were so angry with me for skipping all that  ;D   My best friend since K, and I parted ways that year esp after I bailed out of Physical Science later that same year---you recall the story.   No doubt I do agree another goose family this spring is a strong possibility.  Tks for info on the Mighty Miss.

Tsk sweet kittens this AM;

Puff tks for the Xtra info on Decorah nests and where to find it all.  A must check out.

{{{KB}}}  coyotes  :(     ;   great sandhills; your dad taught you a lot ---I myself don't approve of jokes about the professions of others,  I've heard insulting ones about my husband's career as a pilot and about my own career as a multi line insurance agent. And, have been equated to those of lawyers i.e. thieves of their
clients money   and such.   >:(

Bazi waving   :)

Lani cat's paw in the candy dish  ;D   A visit to 'Wally World' ...Mike's leaving again...

Karen  :)

T40  The Live Science  cat facial expressions  article I posted this morning -great minds and all that  ;D
Too funny Rxster, so funny chicken/dog; greatest saves  ;)

CLynn I wager Wyatt does sleep in his secret room  from time to time;  luv the 'wonderful day'

Point to Ponder: The Mighty Mississippi River starts right here
It start as a stream you can wade across.
From here it gets deeper and wider.
It travels over 2500 miles.
From this humble beginning the Mississippi becomes part of the life blood of our nation.
There is a story there, it's not about where or how you start, it's about the journey to what you become.

I posted this pic of me in April of this year.
I believe I walked across the Mississippi in Nov. of 2005.

I've also walked across the Hudson and Delaware Rivers at their headwaters.   ;D

BL   Cool picture - I'd recognize you anywhere   LOLOL  Same photo tho.  Cool

Well push has finally come to shove.  Tim's A1C was 9.8 ( fasting blood sugar 223) - up again and doc wanted to start Ozempic.  Uggg.  Instead, we are starting on Wednesday, Nutrisystem meals for Tim 5 days a week for a month to start  We get our first box of 2 on Wednesday.( You get the whole month at a time ) and may have to use Barb's freezer til I can clean out mine.  :o Lots to learn about this and hope I get something printed vs trying to read all this stuff on-line and not at fingertips.  I joined their FB group so that should help some.  He took his blood sugar this AM and already without the program and the fear of Ozempic his blood sugar was 159  Lowest in 30 years!!!  Doc is "demanding" he take it daily.  Sure hope this works.

Lani - We did a Walmart run today too.

Baz - That is a great idea for Karen’s recipe!  I haven’t had beef stroganoff in a long time.

T40 - Thanks for videos 😊

Karen - Hope you enjoyed your steak dinner.

Kb - Great pic of the cranes.

Phyl - Wow, Wyatt has it made!

Clynn - Interesting history of the olive tree, and it still produces olives….amazing!

BL - Is that you the arrow is pointing at?  I thought that was the trunk of the tree! 🙄

Tsk - I hope Tim does well on the Nutrisystem, and can get his A1C down.  I started my insulin in August, and I have noticed my blood sugars have decreased in the morning.  The were in the 150 & 160’s before the insulin, but now in the morning all have been under 125 or less. I take 6 units nightly of Basaglar insulin.  I can’t wait to see what my A1C will be.

Have a good night, everyone
