I don't think we went that long in Kansas with our unit.... In the desert, your AC unit works almost year round some places. In Scottsdale, we had it on from middle February to October. That's a long stretch for a unit to run. Car batteries last maybe 2 to 3 years in Arizona. You hope for 3 or 4. So, here in Payson going more than 10 years with one unit is amazing to me. But, I'll take it
