Puff

May the weather fall softly upon your August evening as it has us NE happy campers.

Wherever ones scorpion bitten toe hangs there hat at I always say.  ;)

Stepping over a very large soggy pine log in AZ.
Dutifully swept the step over side with my hiking stick.

Bam.
I instantly knew that ones going to hurt.
I thought for sure a rattler. Nope.
That AZ scorpion took some calf meat from my leg.

Puff one got my right ring toe in Belize a little bitty thing.

All on me and my bad for the lack of local knowledge.

A nasty Hornet sting .. toe looked like a blue potato in the AM.

A healing hammock .. it was throwing the Frisbee to the dogs into the waves.

But you know what they say walk a mile in my boots without looking in them 1st.

Good Morning Beakers!

Lani, hope all is going well with you and yours... Mike, the girls and the critters! Honey is still eating and getting around...and sleeping a lot. Cute goodnight gif! Hope you get some rain, and soon!

BL, I put my hand in my garden glove a couple of years, not knowing that a spider thought it would be a good home. He bit me, ouch! Nothing serious though. Thank goodness!

E4E, we had a rental car last year when our cars were in for hail damage, the engine light came on so I called and told them. They assured me it had been serviced, most likely a faulty engine light....

kb, yes, that is the cutest video!

Phyl, a wonderful idea, to have a place to sit and ponder out back and out front! Out front porch would hold one chair, sideways. Your front porch reminds me of my sister Cathy's, she always has it fixed up so cute!

Puff, that resort in Belize sounds wonderful!

Lisa, dang!

some bounce
Years ago my dad had been working in the yard and when he came in the house he was talking out of his head. Mom took him to the hospital and they could not figure out what was going on. That evening the nurse was giving him a bird bath in bed and noticed a red line going up his leg from the ankle. They figured it was a spider bite. After the proper medicine, he recovered.
Gonna be a hot one today

Good Morning ...Happy Thursday !

Currently  76F  feels like 77F.  High  87F  with heavy Thunderstorms, High pollen. Nighttime low 72F  clear skies

For work, My dad use to wear those black cloth gloves that were 'dipped' in 'rubber'  there was an occasion that was a close call with a brown recluse. If one is bitten by these spiders, the flesh will rot off your bones.  Well, dad got n the habit of stowing then in the cubby of his scooter's seat. Yeah he rode a 'scooter' to and from work. That is until a bout w/ pneumonia landed him in hospital----he later drive an old English Ford he bought from a coworker.  Health improved  ;)

CLynn- it's #1 and #3 for me, #2 is always a 'given'.  Just love the 'Pending Coffee' !     ;)

{{{Lisa}}}  Gosh!!

KB- you got rain   ;)     -cute video

Tig- you got some rain too.  ;)  , tks for the story about your dad, so glad he recovered

Lani- your 'good night' yesterday,  I have the same on Pinterest

BL- tks for 'Moon Child' Jerry Walker; you & Pip stay away from those nasty creepy biting crawlies

PHYL  Liked the good night pic. Colorful.  Dad certainly knew what to do with his gloves  ;) ;)

KB  You're right - Primate is super special.  Good to hear you got some rain.

TIG      Wish they had a descaling process like that for human arteries   :o :o   What a horrible experience for your Dad.  Did they ever figure out what kind of spider?

BL  You certainly have had a lot of experiences in your adventures.  :o

CLYNN   "pending coffee"  Love it.

Ninja dog plus mean kitty..

Ha, realized this morning (should be obvious but...) All dogs make me feel happy, including other dogs walking with their owners......as I noticed coming home from dropping Chris at his PT....

Morning.

A scorcher today for sure...dew point is the killer..
Should buy groceries today...we shall see.
No Ollie, we aren't walking today.....hmm, you have a big fenced in back yard ya know!..
He just loves to spread his "word" around town and let them other dogs all know whose the boss...LOL

Thanks for the info tig...curiously they built our sewer lines not straight out under the basement floor to main in street but out the side, and then a 90 degree angle to the street....my weak spot....

Good Morning Beakers

I got a call from Bradley at 4:30am saying, he and Kelly have been at hospital since 1am.  They have already given her the epidural, so I am guessing the baby will be born today at some point.

Morning kb, tig, Puff, karen and all
  :)

Lani - Love the kitty in the planter.  All I can do it laugh at the whole car AC/loaner ordeal.

tsk - The insulin is a pen, and each pen is good for only 28 days, even if there is insulin left in it.  There is a lil knob on the end that you turn to the units needed, and push it after inserting needle in you. Love those coffee cups

Phyl - The lil bushes are cute.  Yes, the insulin is in addition to my other diabetes med.  I take Metformin, 2000mg daily.  Love the lanterns in the good night pic.

E4E - Ugh, so sorry that happened to you while on vacation!

clynn - Like the pending coffee story.  Aww, the newborn horny toads.

some bounce

I took a trip this a.m. to "re-home" a bunny. While I was away the pro came and sprayed the hornet nest. I'll go out later and drop it into a garbage bag. I also hand pulled a few weeds on my way to chalk "Free" on the pallet (from the mulch) Camper set out. Hopefully someone will take it soon.
Time for beakfast
TSK - nope
((Lisa)) find joy  ;)

Eagles, we're going to be in the mid 90's this week. Thankfully it was 66 this am, and light humidity for walking. Also, I love the nights getting longer. Sunrise was 5:38am  ;D .. Mike's mom taught me to do the same thing with my garden gloves. Gosh, I miss her. She was like a mom to me.

{{{Hugs Lisa}}} exciting day for all of you  :-*! Prayers for Kelly and baby  🙏🏼 (I'm having sympathy pains, you never forget  :-\ ) and prayers for Bradley a dad-to-be  🙏🏼
Mike's insulin pen works the same way.... Are you and Jeff going to the hospital? I understand your concerns, it will be fine.   :-*. 🙏🏼
Kb, Ninja dog! LOL love the cat's reaction and glare, thinking "you're an idiot!" ... stay cool today.

Phyl, your dad was wise. My MIL taught me the same as well. Too many brown recluse stories during our years in Kansas. Scary, but my friends survived their ordeal with bites. The worse one was it was in their bed sheets. I have a habit of pulling back top sheet and checking.

Tig, awww a bunny ....  how scary for your dad and mom, a good lesson to be aware of spiders, especially right now during these monsoon days. I just had pest control spray for spiders last week. The tarantulas are on the move as well. A 5" one greeted me in the garage last Monday. It was hiding behind the trash bin as I pulled it out there it was... I helped it on its way back out the door with a broom to go find a mate.

Clynn, awww wee baby toads ....  Love "Pending Coffee", we should all do that.  :-*

E4E - I used one a long time ago for a short while, when I first found out I had diabetes.

karen and all - I was told to come to hospital, and then not to come.... to wait.  And, I was like, ummm, ok.  Why wait?  Was told that they only allowed two visitors, and he is not a visitors, since he is the father.  Her mother is there, and not sure who else, but I am kinda sad cause I wanted to experience this with Bradley as this is my first grandchild.  Oh, well.  At this point, I hope the baby is healthy when delivered, but I can't be excited as Bradley and I had words this morning.  If her mother was any kind of person, she could have said....Brad doesn't you mom want to be here too, I can step out for a while and let her have a turn.  I know I would do that if the roles were reversed.  He said, I could come between 4 and 8pm.  There is no way I am heading that was in DC traffic to visit for an hour or 30 minutes, and I told him that.  He says, maybe I can come tomorrow or the next day.   ::)  We will see.  At this point...I am a lil mad.
