Lisa - this one above is for you!.....you could always add an otter to your kitty kingdom?....might make your aches and pains at least temporarily dissipate? ;)

All of us got some extra nap/sleep time in yesterday...much needed and the air was filthy/smokey anyway.

Still smoke in the air today but supposedly getting better?....I have lots of outdoor work to catch up on now.

HI EVERYONE

67 heading to 71  Supposed rain starting in 15 min  ::) ::)  NOT

KAREN  You are so right.  Potted plants need to be watered every day.  that's the downside esp if you have a lot of them and no regular rain.
Where did you go in northern Wisconsin?   How many different hh aides have you had now?  Hope you get a good PT

EAGLES  As children Grandma and Grandpa's cabin up north had an outhouse.  They added indoor plumbing probably in the early 60's  ;D

PHYL   cute "weekend"        That's quite a crew at GSB

CLYNN   Interesting memory about Jody.  You always have such good/interesting  memories of your childhood . :)  " Washing feet in the sink"  LOLOL   Shade for deer  - so cute

KB  Mama cat and the baby otter " what's one more"  LOL

Good morning Beakers!
Morning Blschue, Lilbro, Lori, Clynn, Tsk, Lisa, Karen, Oldguy, Puff, Eagles, Kb, Tig, Baz, Phyl, Peep, Jaspurr, Pink, Jilltosa, BL, Eburg, Weasel, Ezee, Bggolden, T40, ssrl, Maxie, and All!

We had another inch of rain last night! It's very surprising for AZ, because it rarely rains in May, expecting more later this morning.

I'm heading out for an early meeting to tie up last week's business.
I hope you all have a lovely Friday!
See you later.  ;D

LANI   And that will be the last of it today - the wind up meeting.  Well the rain we got lasted about 20 minutes and not worth checking the rain gauge as it was really light rain.  Turning on the irrigation system now as the gardens are so dry I can't get one of my lawn ornaments post into the ground.  :P

PHYL  Nat'l Endangered Species would make a good puzzle.

HAPPY DAY, BEAKERS!  :)

Lani, it's Friday - shake your coconuts!!   ;D ;D ;)

(((Lisa))), Monday is coming! Hugs.

Karen, it sounds like things are coming along nicely at your place. And I bet you are becoming an expert at "training" your HH workers.  ;)  I hope you will like your PT person! Maybe you can order something extra tasty for a weekend treat!

Take care, Beakers!  :)

There has been 5-10 inches of rain in my area of southeastern NC over the 12 hours since midnight last night... from a slow moving, mostly stalled, coastal low right over my area, near the NC/SC line. There have also been some unofficial reports of rain amounts higher than 10 inches since last night (last 12 hours), just across the river from me.  Spotty accumulations differing, based on which cloud you were under for how long. LOL. Some roads closed, and some water in some homes, businesses, and schools across the river from me, from the flash flooding. At my home, I was on the lower end of those rain accumulation totals. No flooding issues in my neighborhood, other than on some roads. It has been raining non-stop at my house since yesterday morning ,but it just stopped!! Still supposed to get some more lighter rain, off and on, till this evening. Expecting a nice outdoor weather day for Saturday here, and then rain again on Sunday is likely.

Devil's food cheesecake!!!

These Gooey Devil's Food Chocolate Cookies are magic! Although they look like regular chocolate chocolate chip cookies on the outside, they are ridiculously fudgy, gooey, and have a wonderful melted chocolate texture on the inside.
photo below Cookies made with Peanut Butter chips

Devil’s Food Cake made with Panama Volcan Beru Coffee, buttermilk, Cocao Barry Extra Brut (100% cocoa, 24% cocoa butter) dark cocoa powder finished with Italian butter cream infused with the coffee and Coffee Crème Anglaise.

The Vienna Roast iced coffee has big, bold coffee flavor with super-rich body, chocolate and dark caramel notes, and red berry sweetness which pairs perfectly with the Devil’s Food Cake intense chocolate richness.

Well, all the kitties were starting to escape, so we have took some Chewy boxes, and put them together to make a playpen till the one I ordered arrives.  The Charmin is to help Misty get inside the box.   ;D  The one tabby Piper is getting around good, and was walking down my hallway.

kb - Awww, mama cat fostering the baby otter!

tsk - Cute black and pink flower greeting this morning.

Lani - Hope you got everything all tied up for your business last week.

E4E
- Pretty flowers in your morning greeting.

Phyl - Thanks!  Agree with tsk, that would make a great puzzle!

baz - Be safe with all that rain.

Lori - All of your afternoon goodies look delicious!!!

Just got a call about my surgery time, and I thought it would be early, but it is not till 1:30pm.  I have to be there at 12:30pm.  Thank goodness I can drink clear liquids till 9am, they said.

It does make a great puzzle!   https://www.jigsawplanet.com/?rc=play&pid=379840cd6bd5

I have a lot of puzzles on Jigsaw Planet, if you have any questions, please ask! Click on the little picture to the left of the ghost to have the picture you can see and move around. Click on the ghost to see a transparent pic of the puzzle.

Lori, that cake looks decadent... it all looks decadent! Would love the Vienna Roast!

baz, I hope you don't float away... ;D

tsk, watering potted plants can be a real chore...but so worth it!  Do you have any roses?  I bought 2 Knock Out roses from Home Depot. Someone told me they attract those Asian beetles. Have you ever heard of that?

Lani, glad it's your last meeting, and are you turning the reins over to someone else for next year?

kb, awww, the Mama kitty with the baby otter, how sweet!  Otters are so cute and they seem so gentle!

Lisa, thanks for the Vinca reminder, I need some of those for around the mailbox! That's a very fancy playpen for those little hooligans!

Clynn - All roses attract asian beetles..you should be prepared.

Many peeps in Minnesota have given up on roses because of them.

I spray with Neem oil and also a systemic at the base of them....bottom line it's an issue. Often.
Bunnies like them as well.

I am going to post pics tomorrow when I cut down totally my dead large climbing roses...Rabbits destroyed them, nothing left...no roses this year at all nor the vine behind them.
they also got at my shrub roses in front....7 of them
It's devastating, as it takes many years to get climbing roses to look like this:....I have 3 of them all destroyed, we shall see if they come back...they destroyed 2 others that never returned.

this is what an historic winter will do even if you fence them in..they ate my fence...I'll need to use metal next year.

Hi Beakers!

Phyl - Cute morning gif!  Cute Decorah nest pic this morning.  Cute little Great Spirit Bluff Falcons!   Thank you for posting National Endangered Species.

Clynn - Love your morning 'peace'!  Liked the 'Thunder pot' for emergencies - hope everyone had one of those!!  Those were some primitive days - every once in while, my  - will tell stories about the 'old' days! ;D   ROFL about the story you told Tsk about your friend deciding not to go camping any more! ;D  Darling pic of Mama deer and fawns finding shade under an umbrella - too cute!

Karen - I agree with Clynn in that it seems you are doing better since you went back to your home. :)

Kb - I feel bad for you having to breathe in that smokey air - hope it clears out sooner than later. :(

Tsk - Here is a plumbing story for you :o  my Dad bought us a 2 bedroom, 1 bath house back in '61 when I was 4, and after he bought it, he found out the toilet wasn't hooked up and didn't work.  So of course he got it hooked up and working for us as soon as he could (we were a family of 4 at the time). :-[

Lani - Hopefully by now, you are already through with the meeting and now you can begin enjoying your weekend! 8)

Baz - I like your 'Happy Friday' gif  :)

Lori - Yum on that luscious looking Devils food cheesecake!  Wonderful goodies that I wish I could taste.

LisaG - You & Jeff came up with a good temporary solution to keeping the kittens in until you receive the Pet pen - I like the Charmin pkg as a step for Misty!

Tig - Glad it seems the Estimator was able to help you with a different task. :)

Hope everyone is having a nice Friday afternoon  :)
