Hi Lani - Thank you for thinking of me  :-*  It is a rough time over here without seeing my little Star in the house or our back yard - so empty. :'(   Like the Dunrovin Ranch Osprey cam pic!

Lori - Thank you for your beautiful condolence - that is so true, that she was my sunshine. :-*   Such a cute congratulations on the birth of the kittens for Misty, Lisa, Jeff and Bandit! :)

Phyl - I sure am hoping for the best and safety for the DH eaglets.  Thank you for cam info and pics!

LisaG - Darling pic of Misty and her little ones - too cute!!  Nice that you got the tiniest one to nurse from its Mama. :)  Maybe tonight you can get a little more rest than last night. :)

Hi Tig  :)

Clynn - Love your cute morning gifs - so cheerful!  Thanks for posting Robin's beautiful pic of HM, HD, & DH2.

Hi Puff  :)

Kb - Hope you and Andrew got some stuff done today.  :)

OG - Happy you had a great Saturday evening at cards!! :)  I bet the spaghetti was a delicious hit with all!

Hi Karen  :)

Tsk - How is Tim - hope he is still doing well!

Hi Baz!

Something about little feathered babies always seems to turn up the interest of After The Fledge and room arrangements.  I had had only 2 people contact/mention it to me until today.  With all the excitement yesterday and today things are getting busy.  Now I'll have to start spreading the news.  Yes, I do have rooms held.   I'll post the info this weekend.

tsk--got out of the Corps as soon as my enlistment was up! (3 yrs.)  As for a career in music....well, I did music again on the GI Bill but decided against a career after student teaching at the high school level.  Considered staying in at the elementary level, but then I bought a house, started working for a paycheck, and got fired by the band I was in.  The rest is a long story.  ;) :)

Lani good analysis of the Bandit/Misty photo.   No bachelor life for this dude. What are the odds L and J keep one---#7?
I've been playing catrch up on my end---would have loved to watched Mother Goose today. From what I gather tomorrow is suppose to be the 'leap of faith'.

Mother Goose is busy trying to keep her two oldest goslings settled!  ;D :-*
I caught sight of a pip in another egg closest to the front of the nest.

Hi Beakers -

We plan to be out of here and driving to Airport at around 2:am - brief layover in CO, then finally to TN!

LisaG - Hope all the kittens do well - especially the tiniest one!

Everyone - Hope everyone & spouses and significant others all stay well.  Take care.

Lani - Try not to overdo yourself with the state convention.

Thank you to all who have posted notes of kindness & sympathy for my little Star - so many nice & thoughtful folks here.

I will check in and post when I can.  We should be back home late evening on May 6th.

Puff--I auditioned for the band in boot camp (I was 2nd chair all NW Iowa band member on snare drum in high school and a music major at Iowa State when I got drafted) and was told by the MCRD band commander that he'd request my assignment.  But when we were assigned our MOS (marine occupation specialty) I got electronics and the band assignment went to my squad leader, who auditioned for the flute.
A few months later I saw him marching with the band at MCRD, playing the bass drum!!
It seems his Dad was an Army officer and had pulled strings to get him the billet.
That's when I learned the explanation of that old saw...."It's not who you know, but who you...."
Probably tmi for my 501st.  ??? ::)

Eburg, Not TMI at all  ;D ... it's their loss you weren't selected.  :)
