LisaG - That's right - Misty might have already seen Pepe outside  -  so happy she is safe inside your beautiful home. :)

Lani - All the best is wished for all the fledging Albatross'.   I can only imagine you & Mike being sound asleep and then Sadie does one of her high pitched barks! :o ::)  Sadie is a sweetie tho!! ;D

Phyl - Did Jim get some soreness from the accident?  From the looks of the car, I would think he would be terribly sore! :o  The main thing is that he is fine!

Tig - Hope it was a good game with the Twins! :)

Clynn - Wow - I think you covered all the cartoons - I had forgotten about Dudley Do Right!! Lol!! ;D  Thank you for the reminder of all the cartoon characters! ;D
Love the SWFL - that is quite a bunch of moss being carried!! ;D

Oldguy - You are so good - great info for Karen!

Tsk - I'm with you - I can remember things that I probably should have forgotten, but can't remember something that I should.  :-[

BL - How is the trip going?!

Beakers have a good night - sleep well.

Waving to All the Beakers!  :)

Clynn, I remember all those cartoons - loved 'em all! I think I had a greater appreciation of Fractured Fairy Tales after I was older and "got" so much of what they said that went right over my head when I was little. But that's true of a lot of cartoons, I think. Loved the pic from SWFL of Lady E carrying the moss!  :-*

TSK, I forgot - already!  ::) almost everything I was going to reply to after just now reading all the posts, but I can remember lines of dialogue from movies I haven't seen in decades, and some of the most minute things from childhood. LOL. Must be that long-term vs. short-term memory thing. Makes me wonder if stuff like Prevagen really makes a difference.

Tig, I missed Coco's match, but I've caught parts of a couple of other good matches from the China tourney.

The last time a dog off its leash came at me was about two years ago, as I was pulling out of my parking lot to go run an errand. He was a black lab, and he was headed straight for a busy road. I rolled down my window and said, "Hey!" (like "Hey, bear" LOL - Ely Black Bear Center followers will recognize that). He stopped to give me a good look, and then he turned to continue on, but I hopped out of my car and called him back, and opened my back car door, and he jumped right in, like, "Oh, thanks! I love riding in the car!" LOLOL! He was wearing a collar, but no tag or ID, and no leash. I rode around a few quick blocks, looking for anyone looking for a dog, but no one I saw knew him. So I borrowed a neighbor's leash and spent the next 3 hours walking that dog around the larger neighborhood, asking everyone I saw if they recognized him. And I knocked on some doors of houses that people said where they knew a large black dog lived, though they didn't know if it was the same dog. The dog was having a great time! - greeting all the people in their yards, and getting one of the best walks ever!  ;D  I found the owner!! They had just moved to their house a week earlier, and the dog had dug under their backyard fence and gotten out! She, and the dog, were very happy to be re-united. I told her I was just about to head to a vet to scan for a chip. She said the tag had fallen off the collar, and they hadn't gotten it replaced yet, and the dog was chipped. Anyway, LOL, my errand turned into a 3-hour dog walk and greeting many people I never saw before, and I fell in love with the dog.  :-*

Tsk, Clynn, I remember those cartoons.  ;D

Clynn, thanks for posting about the ring of fire’ solar eclipse link. Considering I won't be here in 2046, I better get a chance to see it now.  ;D ... oh my, I wonder what Keebler thinks of Wild Heart Ranch door greeter. LOL! Willi would love it!  ;D... That is a stunning photo of SWFL Lady!

Thanks T40, I think this year's Fat Bear winner may be a woman. Either Holly or Grazer. But, Chunky is giving it his all!

Tig, sweet dog story.

Good Morning Everyone...Happy  Wednesday!

Currently 62F   High  87F sunny,  Low 62 F  clear.

Dental appointment for me this afternoon---Jim's driving me in my car  when he gets off work,  he'll swing by in it to pick me up.

CLynn awesome crafts that one set of pumpkins looks like they have wrapping paper as mache  our insurer called Jim while he was at work, not allowed to take calls, so they left a message on his phone--he called back, guess  at break and said he left a message. Jim never told me about this till late tonight. I could have helped. When he talks about this sort of 'thing' he gets 'diarrhea of the mouth' .
Oh it's too late for witnesses the report's been made and adjuster has been T/T.    LOL 'Mister Know It-All"   WildHeart Ranch-awww Helen  and their 'greeter'  Willi would  love it.   Thanks for the RRP post...let's hear it for  Dave!  My mom did onions in the meatloaf and 3 interlocking slices of green bell pepper on top as garnish.  But, I  love onions and peppers. Cute story about you/Cathy and meatloaf

KB cute pup; so busy w/your yard

Lisa pretty autumn  tea cup for the AM

Tsk  Jim's his 'usual self' .    I used to watch all those same  cartoon shows too. Loved FFTs (Fractured Fairy Tales) the irony could be funny. Also there was 'Roadrunner', 'Bugs Bunny" , 'Johnny Quest'

E4E enjoyed your AM greeting for Tuesday

Lani I do recall you mentioning years ago about Sadies rough start poor baby--she's survived well with the love y'all given her. Wonderful story bout her greeting the
neighbors.   Here's to no more  dog run-ins; Thanks for the Royal update and photos;  oh gosh Mike's accident on the Southbound was awful !

Tig  I have a LG set of washer/dryer---love them!  And, that's how my dryer does when lent trap's too full.  Cute story about how you always found you lost dog.

Bazi  very nice dog story  ;)

T40 glad the 'Fat Bear Week' made it after all.  Gotta love Otis!  The 'girls' are looking good this year.

Nat'l Geo Digital has a short piece about 'Fat Bear Week'. in  last Monday's edition. It was really interesting.

Newman spent about an hour this morning on the nest box perch around 7AM, then to his favorite branch about 8AM.

For a falcon...Newman is quite the looker.

BAZI   I question Prevagen as well.  Tim takes it but I guarantee his memory shows no improvement to me  ;) :o ::) ??? :-\  Very $$$   I'll stick to my crosswords and jumbles and scrabble and sudoku and jigsaws and crochet.    What a great story about the black lab and your dedication and kindness in finding it's owner.  But as you describe kind of a fun day for you too  ;) ;D

LANI   Chunk is one big bear  :o :o

PHYL   And the feast of St Francis of Assissi ...Pet blessing in the church parking ot today at 5 PM  ;) ;)

Good Morning Beakers!

Phyl, what a great picture for World Animal Day! (I posted it on FB!)  And what a beautiful Autumn view of the Rainy River in the 365! I checked a map, it's right on the Canadian border...so pretty! Jim must be feeling pretty good if he's working, that's a blessing...  I know exactly what you mean by 'diarrhea of the mouth', Ed has that too. And he tends to exaggerate things each time he recalls. Newman is definitely a hunk! I also have LG washer/dryer. Front load, on pedestals. Ed's domain. They are in the basement and I told him I won't go down there unless I absolutely have to. So he does all the laundry.

Lani, I also think of willi whenever I see a vulture! Chunk looks huge!

tsk, funny that you should say 'Gosh  why can I remember that very cartoon (Dudley Do Right) and not remember the name of the person I just met 10 min ago?'  I have asked myself that very same question! It has to be an age thing. I wonder if taking one of those OTC memory pills really helps...

karen, throw that flashlight away and get this pack of three smaller: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0947C9VSJ?tag=bg2-283605-20

baz, yes, long term vs. short term memory thing, seems like several of us have it.  :o :o  And I agree, the Fractured Fairy Tales are fun to watch even now, now that we understand them better!  Here is one for you!  https://www.bing.com/videos/riverview/relatedvideo?q=youtube+fractured+fairy+tales&mid=D4E891C32B77C8D9BF98D4E891C32B77C8D9BF98
I can remember every word to songs from high school days, the 'oldies'. Guess that is why that's what I listen to!

Lisa, oh, I didn't think about Misty being the same color as Pepe and his family! Maybe she did hang with them when she was homeless...  ::)

E4E, those cartoons were all from the Captain Kangaroo show! Then there were all of the regular Saturday morning cartoons! Phyl named some of them! Saturday morning was fun back then!

currently 55 - we are going to have a really warm day at 86 (this is hot for us)!

Bazi - You did a wonderful thing in finding that Pup's owner - you are a special person - Thank you for sharing your story! :-*

Tig - I like how you would get your (lost) dog in the car - great idea!

Lani - Like the bear pics!

Phyl - Hope all goes well at your dental appt!  Nice that Jim is back to his usual self. :)  I loved all the cartoons you mention!   Loved 'Nature' thank you!

Tsk - I asked my doctor about Prevagen a year or 2 ago, and his reply was to 'save your money'!  He said the best thing is to stay active, exercise (walking or whatever), stay hydrated, exercise your mind with things like you just mentioned, and to just try to live a healthy active life!

LisaG - Hope all goes well at your eye appt.!

Clynn - Funny how I remembered those cartoons, but didn't recall they were all from the Capt Kangaroo show! Lol!

One of my friends is coming over for the afternoon today - years ago, she, I & my hubby all worked at the same place (only I was not married to my hubby at the time)!  We get together every few months. :)

Beakers have a nice day  :)

Now three unleashed dog incidents in two days here in Richfield.
Yesterday a woman was severely bitten by a dog, and another dog, leashed was attacked and injured by a different loose dog.
Counting my incident that's 3...the community is now outraged!....will/can anything be done about it?

Today is a day I'd normally walk Ollie and I'm not sure I will without perhaps Chris following me in the car or at all...something going on here.

Today is Scott's Heavenly Birthday. I've been a little "off kilter" for a few days now and yesterday I realized why...Hope you are well, Dear Scotty.

I won't be reading or posting the rest of today out of pure reverence to him.

Happy Wednesday all....check in tomorrow.

Eagles, I once had two young shih tzus that would occasionally get away from me! Since they were faster than I was and loved car rides I always got the car and went after them!   They would hop right in to go for rides!   Nice job Ba on finding the black labs owners!  They are generally very nice dogs!

Another nice day and no hha! I could have had one a little later but decided to skip it!  The gal I have is in a real mess and I do not know what she is going to do!  She is a single bipolar mother of a second grade boy. Who was diagnosed as bi polar and adhd!  They live with her mother a retired disabled nurse who is the main caregiver for the boy!  He is currently being evaluated by a psychiatrist who thinks his main problem may be that he is on the low end of the autism spectrum, not bi polar!  At any rate he us a problem!
A few years ago the three of them moved to Atlanta from NY and then here.  Not well connected friend wise as yet.   My hha works 2 jobs and depends on her mother!  Grandma relates to the boy better than she does!   She is also going to school to get her ged so sje can go to nursing school!  Last night her mother hd. Stroke!  Many blood clots in her legs!  They did surgery but could not get ll of them and have transferred her to Jacksonville which is two hours from here.   Many problems for her!   Very marginal income makes this very difficult!

Clynn, love the decorated pumpkins!  Particularly the green one!   Will be on the look out for new flashlights!
Have read numerous reports saying prevagen does not work!  Tim, save your money!
