In case you missed delivery at NN - NND arrived with stick, then had to rest for a few seconds and panted.  When he moved to place the goods you can see why.  It looked to be 2 feet long and at least an inch in diameter.  Poor baby.  It ain't easy being an eagle.  DNF must have seen the guy needed help because she came in to help.

Replay back to about 40 minutes after the hour.

Yep, me too. Sort of. Stepson plans to rake the large maple leaves in front today. Then, I will do a final mow. Tomorrow I'll drag out the hose and set the sprinkler for the whole yard... a day long process.

Did I mention?  My ash trees in back finally decided it was time.  Even the small Japanese maple got the spirit.

In front however, it is still an on-going project.  Had my leaf guys come by Saturday for gutters (windows and fountain, too).  Thursday lawn and leaves was done by the lawn crew.  They did a super job - which was already being filled back up by sunset.  But they knew the routine and said it will probably be two more trips before they call it quits for the season.  Yesterday (Tuesday) the city disposal truck (LRS) came through with their street sweeper for 6 sweeps (3 in each direction); they had the road looking like a road again.   ;D  Of course, with the driveway back to being covered again, already, the clean road didn't last for long.  I sat in my garage, recovering my begonias from their pots for quite a while (9 hanging planters of  begonias), watching Mother nature laugh at us goofy nature  lovers.  I am on her side!

As tsk said, we've been grateful for a week of nice.  I've divided it into days of chore lists.  Today's not bad only because I have normal living chores.  Grocery shopping will be later.  Noon today the ladies of the block are doing our monthly thing; neighbor Julie chose to meet 11:30 at PoppinFresh.  Then groceries.  Then feed the birdies.  They kept flying past me yesterday giving me nasty looks.  I hope to fit in my blueberry breakfast cake tonight for tomorrow morning.

Then tomorrow, MY LAST DAY OUTSIDE, I'll clean out my big urns!  Finally, put them on the patio with all the other "stuff" under the tarp for winter protection, and last, last, last cover the patio table and chairs.    ;D  ;D   ;D   ;D   ;D

WHEW  But it was fun.   :-*

Hi Tsk  :)

Eagles, I hand wash the dishes for just the two of us too. Love your morning gif.

Puff, thanks for update on Decorh North  ;D ... sounds like a pleasant day with the ladies, birds will love you too! Have a good day.

Kb, I love the Highland cattle, the babies are adorable...  I watch This Farming Life on Britbox. Docu-realty show on Farmers in Scotland/UK. They are a hardy breed able to withstand the harsh winters.... take care with your outdoor duties.

Tig, glad you'll have help today!

Clynn, What business is in the gorgeous old building today? Aly is no-gluten and she made the pie, she didn't like it either. It tasted like damp cardboard.... lots of leaves to clean up.

BL, {{{B}}}  :)

Phyl, run crab run, thanks for nature vid and RRP blog. Lots of good updates and beautiful pics.... Mike emptied the Raisin Bran box today....

Lani - thanks for the mention of that show....I hear about 5 percent of me is Scottish...was told Great Britain, but in reality my last name is pure Scottish!....95 percent Norwegian. Not sure how that happened ;)

I read there about 1,000 Highland Cattle being raised in the US...hm, somewhere, I don't know where.

Took about 2 hours to finish the front yard/gardens.
Going to head out with Ollie in a bit.

It suddenly dawned on me that I could just ask the stepson to mow the lawn too... for a few more pesos! Yay. All finished and now I'm sprinkling.

Thanks Old Guy!

Karen, just a reminder...  if the water heater's input water valve gets shut off, and the water in the water heater tank drains out, the water tank would still be on and operating, though empty, or at least with a lower level of water in it, depending on where on the water tank the water is draining from. Just as an FYI/reminder, you would still need to throw the water heater's circuit breaker to the "OFF" position if you have the type of water heater that has heating coils in it, else they will continue to burn without any water around them, which will burn them out, and/or cause other issues.
