Good Morning Beakers!

Lani, I bet you and Shannon are looking forward to Mike coming home this evening! And I bet he is looking so forward to sitting down and relaxing with a couple of Cozy Burgers! And you get your Chinese! Sounds like a great end to the week! Talon and Bella will be going to Florida too, they are excited, this will be their 2nd plane trip! Sydney's Dad had a heart attack earlier this year, I think he wants to make sure he stays close to his girls as they all go on with their lives. The youngest is a Senior this year. I forgot to post a picture Erin sent, Monday was 50's Day for Bella (kind of strange for a kindergarten...)!

E4E, love the way that cat is holding the book in your good night picture! The Munchkins will be going to Florida, they are excited!

Thank you all again for all the wonderful birthday wishes for Ed!

Oh my gosh, I am good at ALL of these things!

Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away. ~ Unknown

EAGLES  Cute gif  ;D

LANI    Good that Aly will spend Thanksgiving with friends  :)   Fun night for your family tonight

Lisa, Veteran's Day is officially on the 11th of November, every year.
https://www.bing.com/search?q=when+is+veterans+day+2023&qs=FT&pq=when+is+&sc=10-8&cvid=5C4FD7284C6F4D318175918A4422A78A&FORM=CHRDEF&sp=1&lq=0

I know some calendars say it's on this Friday (observed) But that's for the holiday bill.  I have a calendar that says that too. You get to post your observation twice this week.  ;D
My older brother Larry was born on Veteran's Day, November 11th.

Tomorrow 11/11/2023 we honor all veterans for there service and sacrifice. Thank you.

Please don't forget what the day is really dedicated to and take a moment to reflect on the truly monumental sacrifices all service men, woman and their families have given to all of us.

It is not just another day for sales on commercial goods !

Quote from: Woodrow Wilson
A year ago today our enemies laid down their arms in accordance with an armistice which rendered them impotent to renew hostilities, and gave to the world an assured opportunity to reconstruct its shattered order and to work out in peace a new and more just set of international relations. The soldiers and people of the European Allies had fought and endured for more than four years to uphold the barrier of civilization against the aggressions of armed force. We ourselves had been in the conflict something more than a year and a half.

With splendid forgetfulness of mere personal concerns, we remodeled our industries, concentrated our financial resources, increased our agricultural output, and assembled a great army, so that at the last our power was a decisive factor in the victory. We were able to bring the vast resources, material and moral, of a great and free people to the assistance of our associates in Europe who had suffered and sacrificed without limit in the cause for which we fought.

Out of this victory there arose new possibilities of political freedom and economic concert. The war showed us the strength of great nations acting together for high purposes, and the victory of arms foretells the enduring conquests which can be made in peace when nations act justly and in furtherance of the common interests of men.

To us in America the reflections of Armistice Day will be filled with solemn pride in the heroism of those who died in the country's service, and with gratitude for the victory, both because of the thing from which it has freed us and because of the opportunity it has given America to show her sympathy with peace and justice in the councils of nations.

U.S. World War I veteran Joseph Ambrose (1896–1988) attends the dedication parade for the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in 1982, wearing his original Brodie helmet and doughboy uniform and holding the flag that covered the casket of his son, Clement, who was killed in the Korean War.
