Phyl - Thanks for Fat Bear week results.  Loved seeing all the eagles on Flyway today.

Baz - You have a great day, too!

Tsk - Lol, reading your comment about being cremated.  Very nice of you to help that gal from your parish.

Have a good night, everyone!

Well, I have a new hha for Monday and Wed!  She will be here at 10 am to-morrow to take
Me to the pulmonologist to get a script for a new cpap machine!  Medicare will pay for one after 5 years but you have to see the MD!  He will probably want me to walk but I am not sure I can after todays shopping!   Went to the very large WalMart super center to buy a new electric fry pan.  Tgey had one that I saw in a demo at Publix.  Appears to be of good quality, 12 inch, round with a vented glass top!  Price was just under 20 dollars!   Non stick finish and temperature control. Tge only electric cart in the store was out of order so my shopping was on foot!   Went next door to sams where I wanted to pick up my membership card and get coffee, Tylenol, etc!   They had one cart that said it was good to go!  Unplugged it and got going!  Got a few items and it died!  Walked around most of the store!   I do not think Mr. Walton cares much about seniors or the handicapped!   At least I can use instacart for items in the future!   My back is killing me but I have to admit the walking was good for me!
Puff the sake to lrs is in the midwest, only.  Weasel, good to see you. Thanks for the info on wm. I am pretty sure that is part of an agreement with the city or county contracting agency.  I will call our wm but my experience with them over the pick up of a container that lost its wheels, leads me to believe we do not have such a deal!   After the mess with storm debris is over I may  call the county to discuss this!   Thanks tho for the Orange County system!
Will turn in soon so seds!

Spent the late afternoon at the vet's with Maggie.  Seems like my 'little old lady' had landed wrong jumping off our bed. And made life miserable for her self.
All weekend she'd been favoring her right front leg and limping and holding it up and close to her body. She went into 'seclusion' as cats do.
I called first thing Monday Am and couldn't get in at all.  So I made a late afternoon appt. today  for her to see a new vet at Southside. He was extremely nice and listened to what I had observed and what I felt was going on with her. So he checked her over and gently worked her joints, etc.,. He said she had a 'soft tissue tear'. And, not unlike what I thought as a sprain or pulled muscle.
She has been slowing recovering on her own and I've kept a  close eye on my geriatric baby.
So she's will be on pain meds  https://cats.com/buprenorphine-for-cats#What%20Does%20Buprenorphine%20Do%20For%20Cats? This makes me a bit nervous---alas it's only for a week.

Tsk well if you cook fish w rong then that's how I like---'wrong'.   ;)    How funny your comment about being cremated.  ;D
:) of you to be so helpful---the church family is important.

Lisa I do think the 'ladies' will have 'it' this year's 'Fat Bear'.

{{{Karen}}} sorry you had an awful day shopping. As I was reading I, too .thought of 'Instacart'. Well, hopefully this new HHA will be of better assistance .
You and Piper have a good evening and plenty of rest.

Sorry about Maggie!  Can you keep her from jumping off of high surfaces?

LANI   Nara can do some mighty efficient scratching with those "3 fingers" :o

PHYL   I take it back from yesterday - Looks like Grazer could be the top banana  - or the fattest bear  LOL   Nice shot from the flyway.  My Milwaukee brother and his wife just returned today from a few days in the Prairie du Chien area in South west Wi on the Mississippi.  He  sent my other brother and me an email saying they were back and said " Oh by the way Sue, we counted 20 eagles with one flying right over us"  LOLOL

BAZI   I'm sure I do it wrong but I always cook flesh side down to start because I have the seasoning in the oil and I want to taste it on the fish. I don't eat the skin. I flip it on its skin for the last minute or so.   Think Tim says that's wrong so he does the opposite.  He covers the pan and I don't usually.  I call it done when the fish flakes a bit with a fork.  It takes about 5-7 min?  Walleye is a thin fillet like whitefish and mild to my taste buds.  I'm cremated and Tim's not.  Either way I get tucked in with him or they lift me out and put him in first  LOLOL   We have a very simple driveway and a short distance  -maybe 30-40' to the curb - We have three large bins on wheels - garbage, recycle and yard waste.  We don't need help yet.  In fact I bring Communion to a gal from our parish who can't get to church and part of my routine is to get her bin to the curb  LOL  Her son comes later to bring it back.

TSK, thanks for the extra info re. the fish sautee technique you and Tim like for walleye!  :)  I love hearing what techniques other people use. I used to watch cooking shows on TV for that, but I've mostly weaned myself from that. LOL. Oh, for sure I know you and Tim don't need help getting your trash bins to the street. But since you mentioned you had never heard of that program and don't use WM there, I replied as I did just because I thought it would be good to know if that service is available. I know you're involved with several groups, especially with your church, who help people who might be able to use such a service, if it were available there. Wow on your brother's eagle sightings!! More good news for the BE comeback in that part of the country!  :)

LisaG - Glad you & Jeff had a nice day of shopping  :)

Puff - Same as here, the sanitation collector rarely gets out of the truck these days!

Weasel - Good to see you - good suggestion for Puff!

Tsk - We were in the 70's today, but only after a shower this morning!  The shower washed off my car and our lawn appreciated the beautiful rain!  I look forward to cooler temps when I can put my sweater on! ;)

Lani - I always appreciate the status of the Sloths - thank you!   I went back to see exactly which kitty is Milo!  I think you have said that it took a year for Milo to let you pet him!  They are both so beautiful and I can see how they love each other!

Kb - Your garbage service sound like they are helpful!

Phyl - Beautiful BE pic out at MS Flyway River cam!!  Wow 6 juvies!!  Hope Maggie is okay after her jump!

Puff - So nice of you to show appreciation to your Garbage pick up person! :)

Tsk - You cook fish the same as I do!

Tig - You are a wonderful neighbor!! :)

Karen - Have a nice/restful evening  :)

Bazi - Peace for you too and sleep well! :)

Tsk I missed the part about your brother's 20 eagle sighting  :o. They're very fortunate to have seen them in person.

{{{Karen}}} thank you for the concern for Maggie.  I've tried the steps made for high beds. And, she'll have none of that. Just ignores them.Hopefully, the drugs will keep her settled---meds will certainly keep her 'spaced out' and in 'La, la land, until healed.  :)

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE

Rain heading in this afternoon and through til Monday AM  I may start an ark :o :o

KAREN   Good I'm glad to hear you are keeping up with the HHA. Hope she is kind and works out well.    Well, you truly may be sore as you did one heck of a lot of walking that you're not used to.  Rest up today.   Have you been on C-pap machine before - I don't remember that.

PHYL   Just like us old folks Maggie has succumbed to a "pulled muscle"  Hugs to tough little Maggie and good to hear she is protecting herself instinctively.   Very "fall" greeting this AM.   To see 20 eagles near the Mississippi river is not uncommon and always thrilling when you don't see them on a regular basis as you know. ;) ;)

BAZI   I dare not listen to that meditation music now.  Woke at 3:30 with my brain spinning and noticing I'm dropping some balls with my juggling act  LOLOL  I may put it on later for a quick nap   :-*

LANI   What a tender good night pic  :-*

KB   House of horrors  LOL
Chicagoland
