The Concord Monitor newspaper put out a nice article about the egg on LC2
The loon couple seen on Camera No. 2 laid their first egg Monday, with another expected this week.  They are banded, so we know they’re the same loons that were there last year.

About 8 pm last nite the loon on cam / raft #2 laid a second egg.

We are over the moon!
The loon population needs to increase!
Too often one or both eggs are lost,
and/or one or both chicks are predated.

We are eggspecting a second egg on raft 1 today.
This is a new pair.  Dad traded his mate for a newbie.
