LOL MpMom.  Do you know who/what that is that is back?  I couldn't make it out the first time you s'capped it, and this s'cap is closer, but I sitll couldn't make out enough detail to figure out what it is.

Sauces Canyon this morning.  Getting back to serious work.  I am so hoping for a successful year for these two.  I will certainly miss the wing bling.  It sure helped me ID them.

Am I seeing a bracelet, or bracelets - in MpMom's pics posted on Dec., 5th, and on Emy's pic posted today?  Or is that my imagination??  So I guess neither of these eagles is from the pair that was here last season, since it appears neither is showing a wing tag - is that correct?  Hmmm...

Monitors say it is A48 and A40.  Same birds as last year and the year before.  They both had bands as well as wing bling.  The wing bling has fallen off but they both have been id'd.  Go here for daily activity:

Emy, thank you for that information!  That's good news that the same bonded pair, A48 and A40, have returned this year!   :)

Thanks for the pics today, MpMom!  Their nest is so tidy!  It looks smaller than I would expect - I mean, I know it is a large nest, but the bowl of straw just barely holds the two of them at the same time.  But I guess that just means it is more compact and they have really piled on the rails to keep the expected little ones all together.   :)
