World War II Memorial,  87 piece Crazy. 9:48.  Thanks, JP.  I finally got to visit that WWII Memorial 3 summers ago and was so taken with it.   I wish my father, who served in the Navy during that war, had lived long enough to see it.

I was in the Navy during WW II.  January 1942-January 1968.  Navy  for 26 years.  What did your father do in the Navy?  Like so many other young men, the attack on Pearl Harbor changed my life forever.

JP, thank you for your service - you had a full career in the Navy!  My father served four years, I think... till WWII was over... though I don't know exactly when he came home.  He was a navigator on a refueling ship in the Pacific.

I think there is some confusion as the pictures of My Dad and his ship were posted by baziunc, not by me.

White duck in snow "with dang eye closed", which made it more difficult for me at 9:18.  Somebirdy's much crazier than me, which is nice to know!!  Thanks jpalm!  You've been most generous this long holiday weekend!!   :D :D :D :o

:)  Well it would have to be on my other half's side and I don't really remember Marines mentioned.  But who knows, could be a distant one. ;)
