World War II Memorial,  87 piece Crazy. 9:48.  Thanks, JP.  I finally got to visit that WWII Memorial 3 summers ago and was so taken with it.   I wish my father, who served in the Navy during that war, had lived long enough to see it.

I was in the Navy during WW II.  January 1942-January 1968.  Navy  for 26 years.  What did your father do in the Navy?  Like so many other young men, the attack on Pearl Harbor changed my life forever.

Thanksgiving puzzles are the best! ('cept maybe Christmas ones) ;)  6:42 on the latest "crazy fractal".
And I gotta ask.  jp--if you enlisted in '42 you must have been 19/20.  Did you go enlisted or officer?  And since you retired in '68, were you in San Diego?  I might have saluted you then, which would really be cool!!!

I was 18 when I enlisted.  I had made it up to petty officer second class when the Navy sent me to college to finish my degree. I was commissioned in 1945 and sent to Key West as an instructor in Fleet Sonar School.  That is where I was when the war ended (VJ Day).  After Boot Camp in 1942  I was never stationed in San Diego until 1954-55.

Do I gather you served in the Navy?
