5:15  Had a great brunch.  One regular did not make it.  She has been in hospital since Tuesday.  The seven that made it were well cared for.  Weather was nice all day, and still is nice.  I should take a walk.  I have been sitting a lot lately.  Maybe I will sign off and get outside right now.  Only need a light jacket.
I did see that bear shut the door.  Unbelievable!

Equestrian ...  34:02      57°  (5:02 pm)    It started raining yesterday at around 6 pm, and has been off and on since then.  I hope it keeps on with it for a while longer.

My daughter was just telling me what she is reading in the news at the moment and it seems that Poland, a NATO country has decided to go against a current decision held by its members, they are going to give the Ukrainians fighter planes.  GOOD!!!  Biden spent some extra time in Poland when he was over there, I wonder if they decided then to do it?

How could Elijah Blue not be a musician with those two for parents.  He's a good looking kid.
I used to joke with my friends and family that next life, I am going to look like Cher.  Which only proves that I believe in miracles.  lol!

hi you guys its 25 here and it snowed some overnight not much very cold tonight wind chills be zero 38 and snowing in iceland 39 in kyiv and 51 in the barn.

hi joho! nice you had a good time with your friends yesterday! my first in laws went to theirs every year in a very small town down south in mo. was only 8 of them now i think none left.

hi neva! i read that too yesterday. Poland’s president Andrzej Duda announced Thursday that the country plans to give Ukraine about a dozen MiG-29 fighter jets. This marks the first time an ally of Ukraine has provided warplanes in the fight against Russia. Poland’s decision will likely apply pressure on other Western nations to provide military aircraft amid pleas from Ukraine ahead of a likely counter-offensive this Spring.Duda said during a news conference in Warsaw that four of the MiG-29s would arrive “within the next few days” and the rest would come at a later date after being serviced. Poland has a total of 28 MiG-29 jets. The multirole fighter jets, nicknamed Fulcrum by NATO, were designed by the Soviet Union and first exported to Poland in the 1980s.

i also read that biden says he still is not sending any but czech rep is also going to send some now i am so happy that poland did not need our permission to do this or anyone not like nato where finland and sweden still waiting to get into nato due to erodan. poland said they know putin is a liar and just horrible take away ukraine freedom and land and next be someone else they have not forgotten the cold war at all or what all russia has done and still doing to ukraine. stop putin from sitting behind his desk with his suit on and ordering missile after missile on ukraine just may help cant hurt.  saw on the world usa showing russia jets hitting our drone where of course putin keeps saying we did not do that. first we said we will fly more drones have every right to that have our fighter jets escort them but now we are backing down dont want to escalate it. go ahead putin just do whatever you want like you have been.

Good Morning. 5:46 on bike.
Rainy but about 50 degrees here this morning.  Car is out in drive for rinse off.
Lots of ducks in the area. Even in places you do not usually see them.  Like my next door patio.  There is one little cluster of pompass grass along the house wall.  I think the pair are nesting in that little tuft.  This is the second morning I have raised my blinds to see them watching me.  They will likely move on soon due to my seeing them.
Good for Poland.  We probably had a hand in that airplane action.  Like promising to replace the Migs  for example.  Just a thought.
Eagle cams are not doing as well as in the past.  I think due to weather, North and also Big Bear are lost causes this spring.  MN. DNR lost at least one of two eggs I think. I am sad and hope I am wrong. Amy is supposed to be on North chat this morning in about 10 minutes.  I will go hang out there soon.
I am hoping to see our vultures again this summer.
I have some friends in need of prayer this morning.  Lorrie is in surgery for lumps on her pancreas and for stones in her kidneys.  Joyce is in hospital since Tuesday for undiagnosed loose bowels.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin, citing his alleged involvement in the abduction of Ukrainian children.

A warrant was also issued Friday for Maria Alekseyevna Lvova-Belova, Commissioner for Children’s Rights in the Office of the President of the Russian Federation, after the ICC declared there are "reasonable grounds to believe that each suspect bears responsibility for the war crime of unlawful deportation of population and that of unlawful transfer of population from occupied areas of Ukraine to the Russian Federation, in prejudice of Ukrainian children."

Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokeswoman Maria Zakharova brushed off the arrest warrant, saying, "The decisions of the International Criminal Court have no meaning for our country, including from a legal point of view."

"Russia is not a party to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court and does not bear obligations under it," Zakharova said. "Russia does not cooperate with this body, and possible 'recipes' for arrest coming from the International Court of Justice will be legally null and void for us."

Ukraine's General Prosecutor Andriy Kostin cheered the decision.

"Now, if Putin leaves Russia, he would be arrested and surrendered to ICC," Kostin said. "World leaders will think twice before shaking his hand or sitting with Putin at the negotiating table. It’s another clear signal to the world that the Russian regime is criminal."

While the court was established as an international judicial body with the signing of the Rome Treaty of 1998, the ICC began actual operations in 2002 based in The Hague, Netherlands.

To date, 123 countries have ratified the treaty and approved the authority of the court in international prosecution.

Bike Puddle ... 25:25    69°  (3:59 pm)  Sunny, a bit of a breeze and no rain today, I don't think.

I hope all is well with all that come to this place.

Thanks Cal for posting the details on Poland's decision.  Well, whatever Biden is saying publicly, about giving them planes, our bases are making sure they can fly them.  I'm pretty sure they would not be done without Biden's okay.

And thanks for the second piece that you posted.  Wow!  He really can't dare step out of Russia, but I hope that he is arrogant enough to do so.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!  Any one can be Irish today ...  that is even one of the many things I am.

Joho ...   That is kind of funny about your ducks.  My youngest brother used to live next to a park that had a pond in it, and ducks would show up in his backyard in his daughters' wading pool... from the pond.  What kind are they ... white Peking ducks or Mallards, or what?

Prayers are being said here for your friends.

hi you guys its 15 wind chill is 0 really windy too i was going along on my walker on the sidewalk to the barn and then my walker was sliding all over hit ice and that wind its 39 snowing in iceland 46 in kyiv and 51 in the barn

hi joho years back i got a mallard in the pond just the one i called him walter and he would quack to me i told my grandmother she got a kick out of this i talked to her every day she would say is walter still there and i would quack. then a group of mallard flew over and walter joined them i was yelling walter i love you.

hi neva! i thought finally putin charged with war crimes stealing children must of been the final blow. still cant to into moscow and get him course they do not believe in it. but yes keep putin trapped there and i hope to he is arrogant enough to think he is above the law cause he has been for a year now planes poland sending ones i pretty sure said ukraine can fly now. older russian like jets but still jets.i hope the russian people get wind of this putin charged with war crimes stealing children. i saw at the bottom of the screen cnn said hungry and turkey give green light to finland and maybe sweden too to nato. so if that is true something took place  i hope putin being charged gives china and others something to think about. we had nothing to do with that either.

i forgot to post st patricks puzzle yesterday so will today

Finland's president (right) welcomed Mr Erdogan's decision as "very good news"
By Paul Kirby in London & Katya Adler in Lappeenranta, Finland
BBC News
Finland's bid to join Nato has finally secured the backing of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Turkey had blocked Finland's application for months, complaining it had supported "terrorists".
At a press conference in Ankara with his Finnish counterpart, Mr Erdogan praised Finland's "authentic and concrete steps" on Turkish security.
Any Nato expansion needs the support of all its members - and Finland is now a step closer to joining.
A vote will go to Turkey's parliament to approve its application.
Finland, which neighbours Russia, applied with Sweden to join the West's defensive alliance last May.
Both were held up by Turkish objections - but Mr Erdogan is still refusing to support Sweden. Finland has decided to push ahead alone.
The blue carpet was rolled out for Finland's President Sauli Niinisto as he arrived at the presidential palace in pouring rain.
But President Erdogan's hostility to Sweden was clear as the two leaders addressed reporters. He said Sweden had embraced Kurdish militants, labelling them "terrorists". He complained that Kurdish militant demonstrations had been allowed on the streets of Stockholm.
Swedish Foreign Minister Tobias Billstrom said afterwards it was "a development we did not want, but were prepared for". It was still a matter of when, not if, Sweden joined Nato, he added

Hi EV1.  7:34 on Happy Day.
No ducks this morning.  They are wild mallards and the closest water is far.  I think it is the sheen on the decorative concrete that gets them.
Sounds like some better news this morning from NATO. Thanks Cal.
Prayers are working. Lorrie and Joyce are better this morning.  Also Russ a burn victim is going home soon after two weeks in the burn unit.
Had a good Lenten Fish dinner with Debbie last night.  While I was getting coffee she picked two seats at a table with one couple.  I joined them as she was buying five tickets for a door prize.  Less than five minutes later they called one of her numbers as the winner of a package of very nice strip steaks.  I told her too bad we are not in Vegas. LOL  Also turns out the couple we joined was a very nice couple.  We had quite a bit in common.  The man is the assistant principal at Columbia High School where I graduated, and the woman is starting a child care at a church where my friend Bonnie is a member.  Furthermore they live in Elyria just about a half mile from my home.  The dinner was good and the company too. I think Debbie said she wants to go back nextFriday.
Today I may go there for a St Patrick's Day luncheon after 3pm.  That is if I don't go to Chatham for maple fest pancakes first.  Starting to get hungry now at 11 am.
Right now I will take a quick walk down to see if mail is in.  I hope it is, but we never know.

7:41  Russ said he was working on a gas leak in some tractor or other machine, and that he forgot to disconnect the battery.  I will go see him at home soon.  Long ago in the winter I would tie a tow rope to the back bumper of my 1935 Ford, and pull him around the township on his skis. My last early memory of being with him after high school was at a very small lake where he had launched a speed boat and we went water skiing in circles.  He was always adventurous.  Joan got to know and liked him too.  My one experience of Sunday horse backing was with him and his girl friend.  The four of us went to the farm where they were familiar with certain horses.  Joan got on a horse that came in from the trail.  For me, they went to the barn and brought out a horse they said was very nice. Well I should have known any horse that was kept in the barn on a very warm and very busy day was not a good one for a beginner.  That horse was what I found out later was "barnfast".
We started out with me last in line behind Joan.  My horse started to pass the others slowly until I got beside Russ's girl friends horse at the front.  She says to me that her horse will bite mine if I stay close.  So I went a little ahead of her. That was the end of the fun for me.
My horse started running fast down and up the steep walls of a narrow valley.  Then out into a clover patch.  He was racing full speed across the dead furrows and across the field way off the beaten path.  He wanted to get this trip over with so he could go back in his nice cool barn.  I dropped one of the reins and was sure he would step on it or in a hole, and we would die.  Finally he got back onto the trail in a shady lane and stopped.  I got off and held his reins.  The Russ's girl friend eventually came up to me and told me Russ and Joan had to go back to the barn because her horse would not leave the circular track at the top of the valley.
I decide to go back to help her, and tried to get back onto my saddle, but the horse kept walking away just enough to keep me off.  I walked him all the way back to the barn.  The wrangler said that was a good horse and put his helper up on it.  That helper kicked that horse and whipped him all the while he was jumping around trying not to go out on the trail again.  Then he jumped off and walked the horse back toward the barn he had got him out of earlier.
Joan and I were not hurt, but it was not a fun day for us two city slickers.  No more horse riding for us so far since.
Today though I will go to Angles Haven Horse Rescue in Grafton Ohio to donate a little to their fund raiser.  I still love horses.  I just do not ride them.  I prefer a motorcycle.
That is my story for today.  Thanks for listening.  CUL EV1 GBU and GB Ukraine
