Cal, Crow told me the cheaters won. Sorry.  I just love that pic of Ted today. He is a lucky bear. My younger sis and I have no doubts that we will end up with dementia/ Alzheimer's. But the older sis won't discuss it. She thinks that if you don't talk about something, it won't happen. So far I still know what to do with a broom! Had to use it today when Boo got into the kitchen waste basket! Concerning puzzles, I still don't like that one I don't like but I do like the bulbs!

Jp, I could use that sunshine pic again today! Dark, damp and gloomy here today with rain changing over to snow flurries! Love your disappearing marbles!

Ra, I wonder what Handsome and Wilson would do if they ever met. Wilson wasn't friendly at all when Tela came. He was even mean to Robin and I. Who knows they could become good friends! It's funny how cleaning out a drawer or a closet makes you feel good but it does! I saw that Bei Bei on the news tonight, too! So cute.  I can't get over that sweet screaming koala bear in Nora's video! I want to hold that baby so bad!

What a pleasant Saturday night.  I sure am glad I am not in that rat race outside my four walls.  LOL

Doing a puzzle was the excitement of the evening for me.  I was so stressed that it made my head spin with all those bulbs and circles.  Good thing there is a picture of what it is supposed to look like and thank goodness it was not just a bunch of grass blades or leaves or something else that would have been terrible to try to decipher   

Hello Cal, Rues, Ra.  You all certainly have your plate full right now. 
Cal, do you do anything but feed people and animals?? LOL  I bet you wish you had a White House chef to take care of all of that for you. 
Rues, I know all about that family gene.  Having watched my Great Grandmother and then my Grandmother going through that.  I keep watching to see about my Mom and just can't decide if she is just having a bad day or following in her maternal footsteps. 
Ra, are you participating in the 365 day declutter challenge too?  The month of January concentrates on the kitchen.  Amazing what I have been able to "collect" over the years.  All the things I thought I would save for one of my three children, well, they so told me to just throw it out or give it away.  When and IF the time comes, they will purchase it themselves.  I guess their generation is thinking in terms of disposable/replaceable.  Hope they don't do that kind of thinking about ME! 

I certainly CANNOT complain about the weather.  Although some nights it dips down to the low 40s if the sky is really clear, the daytime highs are in the low 70's.  That is really paradise for a winter season.
JP, I know we had a few consecutive days of rain here and well the sky was all gloomy before, during and after the storms passing through.  I had to light up the house during the daytime just to feel like I had a reason to stay out of bed.  In fact, one mid morning, I actually forgot that it was a new day and thought it was time for me to go to sleep.  I was getting my teeth brushed and got into my night clothes, when my daughter asked me if I was not feeling well.  I guess I HAD lost all my marbles at that point.  LOL  It occurred to me that it was broad daylight outside, but that it was dark like late afternoon.  Try turning up your lights.  You might feel better with the added light throughout your home.  BTW, Faith sure had some beautiful cubs!

And to all the rest of the Jewelies, I so enjoy reading about your daily life adventures.

I am so sorry the Chiefs lost.  Since the Patriots are in the same division as the Dolphins, and seem to win all the time, they are my least favorite team.  I thought the Chiefs brought the loss on themselves with some penalties, etc.  Then Green Bay lost and they are really one of  my favorite teams.  Ever since the early days with Vince Lombaardi.

Yesterday, here, was cloudless and 76^o.  What a joy after such a dismal, wet stretch.  However, that was short-lived.  Predicting strong (severe) thunderstorms today with high wind.  A 50% chance of rain.  Some talk of possible tornadoes.

It is Sunday so I will hope all Jewelies have a worthwhile day.  Have a good outlook.

A couple days ago, a video tour with Director Scott Edgett showed many of the changes in progress at the Bear Center. Candidates for the upper wall in the Bear Center are these pictures of brown bears that mostly ignored the photographer as they rested or passed by in Katmai National Park in southwestern Alaska. The bears had gathered to graze, dig clams, and catch salmon in the Hallo Bay area of the park. They were used to seeing people, so they went about their lives with little concern about an inconsequential human. This was the area where Tim Treadwell had waded in salmon streams with the big bears, sat next to mother bears playing with their cubs, and even touched some of them. Those actions were not what got him killed. When a poor salmon run made salmon scarce in the interior, non-habituated bears came to the coast. It is unknown which bear killed him. It is known that he emerged from his tent and tried to chase a bear away on a day when he was packed and ready to fly out but couldn?t go because of bad weather. He had been chasing bears away from his tent like that for 13 years, but on this occasion he may have encountered an unfamiliar bear that was extra hungry and reacted defensively to him. His remains were found in the stomach of a big bear, but big bears can take food away from smaller bears, so we don?t know which bear was the culprit. The picture (not for the upper wall) shows Tim on the shore of Hallo Bay. The bear pictures show a mature female resting on a log washed a quarter mile inland during an unusually high tide, a big male wading by at dawn, and a big male scouring the ocean bottom for clams at low tide, and a mature female delicately using her claws to open a clam she dug up at low tide. In my 11 years walking among these bears, I?ve never felt threatened?more ignored.

Hi, Jewelies! Cold with blowing snow, here, and the outside cats are all tucked in their boxes of straw out in the barn and under the deck. The ones under the deck are made of wood and put on their sides. The ones in the pole barn are nice strong cardboard boxes. The neighbor gives us free straw. We also have 3 small houses filled with straw. We take out hot water 4 times a day, which they really love. Finally watched the Black List--pretty cool. Can't imagine anyone except James Spader in that role.

Cal, you could watch any episodes of any shows you miss on your computer. Just google the channel. Corey would be smart to stick close to you to protect him from the big guys and the houla.

Ra, are you doing a lot of reading? I'm reading The Muralist by B. A. Shapiro. It starts in 1939 in N.Y. city.
      Our lib. is great.
Rues, I got another really good haircut, and I showed him the photograph showing how he had done the sides and told him how I liked how he's been taking more off the back. He's very, very good, but this is insurance, and he doesn't mind a bit. I have a book from the lib. that sounds like crow would like. It's  The Promise by Robert Crais. It's new.

Hi Jewelies!  It was supposed to snow here a little last night and be yucky all day, but the sun is out and I've been working outside.  Think I did too much... I've been sawing a big bush down.  I used to have to get on the roof to trim it and that's not such a good idea anymore (like it ever was, lol), so I took it down to about 3 or 4 feet tall.  I called a guy to come and trim bushes and cut limbs and take out bushes, but he never showed up.  guess I need to find someone else that's more reliable.  Hate people are like that.  I'm trying to get my yard to be easier to manage now that I'm getting a little older.   

cal... You've been busy, too.  I'd rather be fighting bushes than poop though...  Nope, I didn't do the marshmallow puzzle in triangles...  Thanks anyway..

obsver... I haven't been reading in awhile.  I found some puzzle books that my mom got me years ago and I've been doing them instead.  The book I'm doing now is Codewords.  Every heard of them?

I was watching on the storm chasers and a lot was going on at 3 AM our time, but HAD to get to bed.  It sounds like where the two got killed they were pretty luck.  I guy apparently died of an injury?? and the wife had a heart attack.  The son got his four kids out after he crawled out.  I'm surprised with late at night there weren't more injuries/deaths.  Glad it wasn't down by you JP.

Hi Ra! Wow you been busy too! Nope i think i would rather work with poop than trimming bushes!! Be careful doing that. i hate it when someone doesn't show up either. like a few years ago that first group that was suppose to build my cross fencing for me...take an 6 hour break and then done for the day oh ya buddy you were done for the day you were done period..fired..found someone who did show up and got it done. james spader played the role of Steff in pretty in pink..he was andrew mccarthy friend and a snob to molly ringwald felt like she was too poor to go out with andrew..a real snob..

I finished up my bookwork today..got my tax stuff done well almost all of it. waiting to get some stuff back..i was looking online at some stuff and i thought this was so neat...
