Names - UPDATE November 2, 2015

Lily's cubs
Lily's cubs - 7-19-15
Lily Fans found names. F-names galore. Various forms of Fraser seemed to be most common. Fraser was the botanist who named the western Fraser Fir?a part of bear habitat. Another name that stood out was Francis after St. Francis of Assisi?the patron saint of animals. In a day or two we?ll have to select a name. Something will emerge.

A Lily Fan found a link to Ann Bryant?s diversionary feeding presentation that led to the peer-reviewed paper we included last night. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=98iQe_UZ-Fc&feature=share

Thank you for all you do.

Wow Rues, that pumpkin house!  Imagine getting them all up on the roof.  One could kill someone if it rolled off.  Robin looked great, and agree Wilson didn't look thrilled.  Oh they're ALL Jack-O-Lanterns!!!  And how do they light them all???

Joe's feeling pretty good.  His shoulder was really bothering him last night and after the cardiac pain also going there he called the help nurse Gundersen kept telling him about and she figured he should get checked out, so we went up to the ER here in Cresco.  The did EKG's and labs and since the cardiac labs was pretty elevated they called Gundersen and they agreed it was elevated, but IS down from last week.  It could be just from the stent healing and they kept him overnight here in town for observation, picked him up this morning.

"Little Bitsy, Taffie Timmy and Snickers"  ADORABLE!

Cal "I know this will make you happy baseball is over" That's ok, now it's football  :D  Congrats to the Royals.

Those little possum toes are so cute D!  That little face of Bei Bei's was so cute peeking over mom.

How is all the flooding by Columbia, RA, or is that a different Columbia?

>The hood bad part of town..but you know they said on the news after we won the world series police not one arrest no riots no burning anything nothing..way too go kc.<  Good thing they won  ;)

Hi Jewelies!  :)

Well, the city is pretty much closed today. The cell service is overwhelmed and the highways are a mess!

This pic was taken from my daughter's office window around 11:00 today; an hour before the parade started. Her office is about 3 or 4 blocks west of where the parade started. We can't figure out where the people walking could possibly park since her office is right on I-35 and there is hardly any parking in that area anyway.

So then I saw a pic in one of the TV station Twitter feeds and saw where the people are parking. OMG, they are parking on the side of the freeway and in the median and walking across about 10 lanes of traffic. Of course the traffic isn't moving anyway! In this picture, any parked cars are parked illegally. Cal, this is at 20th St and southbound I-35 on the west side.

All the blue in this pic from the KMBC traffic copter is people! I never saw such a big crowd! Union Station in top left and Liberty Memorial sticking up.

Glad I didn't go!

Wow!  Look at all the people!!  Looks like a good place to stay away from!!  Where is the stadium from these pics?  How long is the parade route?  Looks like a beautiful day, too!

Do you think they'll ticket the people who parked their cars on the side of the road on the freeway??

The cops are too busy trying to get 500,000 people out of downtown.  My grand Skylee is in that mess somewhere. Cell service is getting worse. Good thing my wi-fi is working on my phone.
