HI cal...  No, Joy is the one who died this year... my other one is Lily.  Sammy Watkins is with the Bills, a real star there it seems, but the other one who was so good at Clemson, CJ Spiller, went to the Saints this year.   I don't blame you for saying this is your last Thanksgiving to cook!  Especially since you don't even eat the turkey!  I haven't seen my ex for a few weeks... I guess his eyesight has been improving though... a good thing since he DID have a stroke in one of his eyes.

Hi Jewelies!  I've had the girls busy cleaning out their room... getting rid of toys and stuff.  I'll give the good stuff to Goodwill for some other lucky kid.  I gave them each $5 for helping me, they need Christmas present money.   ;D

HI rues... I made cranberry orange muffins this time.  I have a couple left over... you're welcome to come and get them!   :D

JP... lol... when you get a little older??  Like, maybe... tomorrow?  Hope you're feeling better today!

I wanted to thank everyone for the birthday greetings and good wishes ... MpMom and Lani (they tracked me down, over here.  Thanks :-) )   JP, D, Rues, Ra, Cal, Willi, blschue and obsver   Cal ... how'd ya get my name on that cake?  D ... how did you get those cats to keep singing.  I tried posting that once, and they wouldn't sing once they got here.  lol!    ... It was a good day.  Obsver --- I'm 74, an oldie, but a goodie, too.   :D

Ra, I think you asked if I had everyone here for Thanksgiving, a few pages back.  My two youngest daughters - Josette & Michelle and a granddaughter, Bella, and my son, Tim were here for dinner.  All the girls mentioned, live here.  My oldest daughter, Susan lives in Wyoming with her family - they'll be here for Christmas.  My next oldest daughter, Gabrielle, had dinner with her two children (Robert 24 & Rachel 19)  Robert cooked the dinner, and he's a great cook.  :-)  Gabi has two grandchildren.  Anyway, all had a great time, wherever they were.  Gabi is the mother of Sarah, the one that died of Thyroid cancer about a year and a half ago.

Cal, my daughter fixed a 23+ lb. turkey ... too big it might seem, but we got to send a lot of food home with my son.

Today -- Sunday, wouldn't you just know it --  we had to call a plumber out to clear the main drain that goes out to the street.  He tried to turn it into a much more complicated and involved job that would cost thousands ... to which, of course, I said NO!!!.  grrrr!!  It's a house that was built in 1956 and he thought that we should line the main drain with PVC pipe so the roots won't come into the pipe.  Just before Christmas yet!  Forgive my venting.  It has been one of those days.

Good Morning to each and every one?!

A late śleep after an exhausting night (I got plenty of exercise tossing and turning) and I feel surprizingly good.  I think I passed my crisis last night and am on my way, shedding this miserable cold.

neva, what a great age, 74, I envy you.

bischue, i am so uninformed without my computer and access to my data files.  Thank MpMom for being an early girly and posting her birthday greeting.  T hink of this as a sparkly picture ofa grand cake and oodles of lovely expressions of :

Holly, Sign, Birds -UPDATE November 29, 2015

Chickadee
Chickadee - WRI staff photo
Holly left the bunker den briefly yesterday. If I were to guess, I?d say it was to urinate. Inside the den, Holly is hogging the hay. She brought it all in and made a wall of straw toward the door and another wall between her and Lucky. With so much straw, she?ll probably burrow down into it again. I hope so. It will give a chance to see if her weight loss will be less than the 24% of last year when she was sleeping on the bedding rather than burrowed into it. A Lily Fan captured her in action at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ohIic12UxLg. Just now, the phone rang. A Lily Fan is sending a video from today of Holly making a big nest https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNr8WqJD8KA&feature=youtu.be.

Marking pole
Marking pole - WRI file photo
The claw marks on the tree in last night?s update were from a bear climbing, but it stirred enough interest in bear sign to share the link to learn more about it http://www.bear.org/website/bear-pages/black-bear/black-bear-sign.html. The picture from some time ago is of a telephone pole a bear marked for communication.

Tomorrow is Cyber Monday, traditionally the biggest online shopping day of the year. I hope shoppers check out the 146 new items on bear.org under the Gift Shop tab where it says New Items. http://www.bear.org/website/gift-shop-pages/product/listing/18-new-items.html.

A Lily Fan sent me this short but great article about chickadees that has information I didn?t know. Appropriately for here, the photo in the lower right ad is attributed to a Lily Fan, Trish Kirk.
