The wake is over.  Debbie did a great job.  Mary surprised her by inviting about 25 people who were not on the guest list and who had not RSVP'd.  Debbie was shocked and afraid we would run out of everything including space.  However we lucked out in every way and all had a pleasant experience for such a sad occasion.
Debbie's good friends Chris and Luann provided some appropriate background music on their guitars and singing.  Mary and Debbie spoke of John's impact on their lives and the loss they are feeling.
So I will say CUL EV1 GBU, John, Joan, and Ukraine.

4:52  Finally got to do it.  Been running around today., and watching PBS a lot.
Went to see Bonnie.  Had a good visit.  On way, I stopped at the pancake breakfast, at the deer field, at the car wash, and at the grocery store.  I had to get some Reese cups for Bonnie.  Was in a new store for me.  Found quite a few items that I thought were fair priced house brands.  I will try them.  If I like them I will get more.  It is an IGA store.  The normal brands were all priced very high.  You know like $7 for Hellmann's Mayo, Dietz lunchmeat $12 a pound, etc.
John died expectantly of "natural causes".  His heart just stopped.  He was found in bed and looked quite normal.  Just wasn't breathing.  He was a good man.  He gave me three grand children and four reat grandsons so far.
Now I will say good night.  GBU

Lost it again.  I think it was about 5:15 or so.
Been dealing with Shannon's Federal Student Loan account.  It is awful to communicate with them.  Finally got a call back from Tennessee from a person who believed me that I am who I say I am.  That was a true blessing.  She was very competent and well versed.  I could not do what I wanted.  Which was to get all communication in writing on paper.  She said I needed to get Shannon to create an on line account, and then get her to change to paper.
I don't think I pushed hard enough.  After all some people just do not have access to computers etc.  Darn, I wish I had thought of that then.  Darn!!!!
Well Shannon dose feel good on line. So I will just try again to get her going.
Thanks for the dog shame.  I shared it with several people.  They all liked it.
GBU EV1.

Cal Cal,  you are worrying too much about medical things that I don't even remember, because they were done while I was asleep...  My first post surgery memory was when I awoke and saw my Primary Doctor at the foot of my bed at about 2 AM.  He is my really special friend.
Almost everyone needs to stay over to at least wake up from surgery. My knee was strong and did not hurt, but I was still under the influence for quite a while.  Well until I saw my doctor friend anyway.  I don't know why he was there in the middle of the night, but I was glad to see he was thinking of me.
I am afraid that if things don't go well for you as they did for me I will lose you as a friend.  So I will just say one more time, go with confidence that you will do well.  Now I will keep praying for you to do well and not worry so. You have done your part.  Now let others do theirs.  GBU
I will do the puzzle, but after while. bye now EV1
PS:  Finally got back to do the puzzle.  It took me a little longer due to watery eyes again. The best I could is 6 minutes 28 seconds.  I wish I could think of some very clever comment as did our good friend in Key West.  He was a gem.

Hi cal, Oh my 50 degree temp sounds nice. Good to melting snow for sure. Your feral kitty is lucky to have a two houses at different locations to snuggle up in. Lucky kitty!  :)

Hi you guys.  It is a very warm day here today, so Paulie should be warm tomorrow..  I rode my bike a little, and did not need a jacket.  Still some piles of rotten snow, but all the ice is gone.  Suppose to rain for a few days.  It will be nice to have everything rinsed off.  Went to Walmart at 5:30 to get a chicken for dinner.  They were washing up the chicken area and all were gone.  I asked the door guy when do I need to get there for a chicken.  He stands next to the chicken place.  He said they had some when he got there at 2PM.  I told him that is a little early for dinner.
So I got some cheap but tasty Italian bread and on the way out I grabbed a big box of Raman.  It is chicken flavored they say. It was ok though because I really went there for two c size batteries and a bag of cereal.
I took a peak at the deer pantry and the snowman.  Nothing on Snow, but about 30 or 40 deer on Pantry.
Good night now and GBU

6:42  Good morning all.  Nice warm, but cloudy day today.  If rain lets me I will ride a little again.  Not much else to talk about.  Bears are all still sleeping I guess.  The deer are slowly coming to the Pantry.  The eagles are all incubating.  The falcons are still MIA for the Winter.  I think the dog shame is cute.  Thanks Cal.
Hi PA Paulie. Hope you have some warm weather today.  I just took a look at the Warren PA Cams.  There is still a lot of snow on the grassy areas.  I will look again tomorrow.  I have spent a lot of fun time in Warren in the distant past.  I like to look in on the cams now and then to reminisce. Plus my bank is Northwest Savings Bank.  They bought out my local long time bank a few years ago.  Northwest's main office is in Warren. Just FYI.  The area around Warren holds a many precious memories for me. Starting in my teens when my Dad took us to Hunting Valley Lodge in Althom for our Summer vacation.  Later my new bride, Joan, and I spent our 3 day honeymoon at this lodge in Althom.  The lodge was owned by the Grandfather of one of my classmates.  Also, his dad worked with my dad in Cleveland.  I love that area along the Allegheny.
OK, now I will say CUL EV1 GBU

5:29  Could have been faster, but I was Googling Hunting Valley Lodge to see if any pictures would show it had little to do with hunting.  It was a large farmhouse surrounded by a ring of cabins at the foot of a mountain.  Very close to the Allegheny river, very peaceful and scenic.  They are a thing of the past now.  Nothing at all remains there, except in my memory.  Very good memories of vacations with my Dad, and later with my brother's family, and of course my honeymoon with Joan.
It is in Althom PA. FYI.  Althom is just a tiny cluster of cottages on a dirt road, but it does show up on Google. I don't think it has a zip code.
Snow is all gone and even some rain has washed off the streets too.  Need to go to Marc's for some bread and other stuff on sale.  Then I will take papers to my tax guy.
Bye for now.  GBU all.

Good Morning,

Hi johoward, PA Paulie here.  :) Yes it was warm yesterday. Thanks for sending my way!
Aww to your reminiscing. You have wonderful memories from childhood then adult life and your Joan.
Warren is really 'up there' near Erie. I googled 'photos of Althom PA'. Lots of photos. It looks like a very pretty peaceful area.

Hi cal, Oh my your feral cat is lucky! Fancy Feast and chicken! She's not planning to go anywhere! Lol

Your cleaning up your barn had you busy this morning.
Yes to rain in my area today and where cabin is located too.

Oh! That reminds me. We went to cabin last weekend. We knew there was snow but didn't know about all the ice under it.
I posted a story about it in Cheers if you want to read it or comment. You're both always welcome in Cheers. Everyone is.

RRP is one big family.  :)

I wish you both a pleasant day.
