Cal   I see now.  You sent the Gaga link this morning.  Thanks.  My bad. I told you my eyes were not awake.  Still aren't, and it is almost bedtime.  That 21 day ordeal took a lot out of me this morning.  I still feel agitated that it was so hard to get the correct information.  What if I did not have Mary?

We all would still be thinking the 21 and 28 day stuff was critical when it really is not, and never was.

God Bless and GN

Hi Jewelies! It just started snowing and is it's 29 degrees out. Supposed to be cold most of the week.

Cal, I forgot to mention the fireworks they set off at the end of the inauguration festivities. They were amazing with Washington Monument  in the background. Only lasted 4 minutes but they set off something like 25,000 of them. Then I thought about Mollly  :'( and how she would have been scared to death. Also all the wildlife that were affected by them.  I hope Dr Rogers is ok today. Don't they usually say all is ok when there's no post?  Going to Sam's in the morning. It's not senior day but normally there aren't many there around 9. Going to Rural King, too, to get bird seed. My hip started bothering me again so hoping I can get in to see Crow's chiropractor soon! I hate getting old! Everyday there's a new ache! Did you remember to watch Blacklist Friday night? It was very suspenseful!

Jo, yes, I got your email. I meant to reply and then I forgot! I'm sorry! If I don't do something immediately, I always forget! Thanks for the vaccine info! There's now over 7000 on the list of 65 and over waitlist. As of this morning the health dept doesn't know when they will get more doses! They said to keep your cell phone handy because that's how they will notify us when it's our turn. You are the only person I know that has been vaccinated!

Have a nice evening, stay safe and take care!

5:03 No Brag today.
Brady vs Mahomes, wow.  Did not see that coming.  A battle of generations, not just football teams.  Lots of records shattered by these two teams this year.  Should be a good contest.  The bill's mafia acted like a mafia.  Behavior brought on by a lack of officiating control.  Too bad.  Other than that it was a good game.
Praying for Doc that he is just hibernating like his beloved bears.
Also praying that vaccine gets out there more smoothly and quickly.  Several have told me that I am the only one they know with a vaccine on board.  That is a shame.  It has been ready for months now.  Heard this morning presently 75 year olds are now getting shots.
Still feeling good FYI
God Bless Happy Monday

GM EV1
6:17 I think.  Cool and drizzly out this morning.  Not too bad.  Must be getting colder, because there is quite a bit of fog.  Not much going on today yet.  Just growing antibodies and drinking coffee.  So if you will excuse me for now I will do so while it is still warm. Prayers for Doc just in case.

Daily Updates
Waiting for Word - UPDATE January 26, 2021
26 January 2021
 Print Email
Deer 9 points
Deer 9 points
As we wait for word from the DNR on our permit for radio collars and den cams, life goes on.

We were surprised to see that our 9-point buck still had his antlers on January 24th. Then yesterday, I saw something I had not seen before and did not know deer did. With the temperature at only 4?F, three deer stood calmly in shallow water not doing anything that I could see. The water, about 32?F, was a lot warmer than the air, but wouldn?t it freeze on their feet when they got out? Still learning here.

Also yesterday, the mink we are calling Guitar (a name you suggested) set a record by making over 60 fast and furious trips to cache nearly a pound of bologna (nearly half his or her weight). With such a food stash, he or she has not been seen since.

In nice sunshine, a male hairy woodpecker posed for a picture.

Meanwhile, as we wait for approval for the den cam, we are hearing your excitement. Teachers and home-school parents are saying how eager they are to use the den cam. Also, in this stay-at-home time of Covid, people are saying how they are looking forward to watching it daily. Den cam watchers who recorded data in the past are volunteering to do it again.

I don?t know why approval is taking so long. The permit request is for us to use radio collars and den cams like any other bear researcher.

Thank you for all you do.

hi jewelies yay an update! wonder why they did not at least say all is well oh well looks like all is well. i still dont want those radio collars unless taken off before bear murdering season maybe they will say den cam okay collars not okay lilys den on private property so already know where she is. its 22 here feels like 12 its snowing started about two hours ago i did not shovel off the deck or ramp griz made it boo went back to bed thank you boo maybe your dad will shovel it off. if not i will. i was thinking deer get out of that water get a drink but stay out. i would think like dr rogers their poor feet would freeze. beautiful pics today and that little banjo really worked hard on its stash.
