Hi Jewelies! It's been pretty chilly here lately.  Down in the 20'sat night!  My plants are done for.  No snow here though... yay!  lol

cal... A package is on it's way?  Oh, boy!  Any plans for your special day?  Have you heard from Polly?  Hope she's staying safe.  It amazes me how many people are NOT wearing masks at stores that have signs saying you have to wear one.

lupine... Hope your hubby is feeling better today.  Ykw is rampant around here now.  Seems like everyone either has it or knows someone who does.  I'm taking a break from working for my at risk customers... ok with some, some very sad about it.

rues... My daughter is pretty freaked out about the ykw numbers at the schools.  They closed the 6th grade class... too many ykw cases.  Thanksgiving really spread it.  Glad I stayed home!

joho... I hope you are having a good birthday, too.  Is your snow still there?

Have a nice day, Jewelies!

Hi ev1,
First, "Happy Birthday" to our good friend and fearless leader, Cal. Champion of all underdogs.  Thanks to you all for your good wishes and lovely gifts.  I love chocolate cake and ice cream, and Balloons, but had only the ice cream. I did make a treat for myself this morning.  I got up and started cooking at about 8am when coffee pot started perking.  I made a big batch of my Mom's Bisquick pancakes with thick crisp bacon and two over medium eggs on top.  It was great.  I am still not too hungry.
Sob, I do miss my cook badly right now.  Eyes are watery for a few minutes
Better now.  Could not see keys there for a while.
Very nice here today.  Bright and with lots of clean white snow still lingering.  Staying in.  Trying all I can to make it to the vaccine.  I wish others were.  No party at my house.  Just cheerful phones, texts, and emails today at my request.  Debbie will bring something for just us two at dinner.
I like the image of two hunters watching the deer take cover while they enjoy their coffee or whatever from inside.
Please EV1 take good care especially those already in trouble.  My prayers are for you all a quick and complete recovery from any afflictions.
BTW I missed the game entirely.  It was blanked out here for spite or something. It was not even in the paper I get  each morning.  I will have to google it now.

God Bless

Hi ev1 Debbie will be here in a few.  We will have pizza mandarine oranges salad and soft drinks over ice.  My pancakes came out great.  Just as I recall my mom's.  Big and thick and not raw either.  I am still full too, but I will eat some of Deb's pizza.  Always we want to honor the chef or whoever comes with food. LOL

Was a very good day lots of calls from all

Cal, sounds like you had a normal busy day, whether it was your birthday or not! My mom always said her birthday was nothing special, it was just like every other day. She never liked us to make a fuss over it. Of course, we didn't listen to her! Lol! Thanks for the link to Underdog! He was one of my favorites! Now I'll be humming his theme song all evening! :)  Crow said they saw no deer and heard no gunshots at George's yesterday. I'd say that was good news! Wonder how Polly will do next week?  I was hoping she would decide not to try again.

Lupe, hope you two had a good day.

Jo, my mom always made pancakes and biscuits with Bisquick! Glad Debbie was able to spend time with you today and that you had a good day!

Ra, looks like there won't be in person school again next week for our county. We can't get out of that red zone. There's only one hospital in our county and it's near capacity. It's scary. There are still lots of people here not wearing masks even though they're suppose to. I don't know what is wrong with these people! I hate wearing that mask, too, but I wear it anyway!  The other day when I went to Walmart, it was cold and windy. That mask kept my nose warm! I'm glad you decided to stay home from work for awhile!

Have a nice evening, Jewelies! Stay safe!  Hi, Neva!

Jewelies look what bear people of ely mn said ...Dr. Rogers is out of town and in the hospital for a non life threatening surgical procedure. He is staying over the weekend and the surgery will be scheduled for early next week. Once he returns and recuperates, the updates will return. Until then, he will take time to rest and to heal. ❤ - LM

hi rues yes that is what my birthday is another normal day it was a good day as still have all my kids and penny did not pee in my room last night. everyone went right to bed i went to bed early took some cough syrup and out i went and slept all night and my leg is feeling better this morning i still cant walk good walking the same but now it does hurt so bad i do not feel like screaming out in pain so that is really good. i was singing underdog last night in bed girls were what are singing mom? mom davis use to make biscuits bisquick my mom open a can of them and both of them were good to me. richmond hospital was on the news being crowded and talking about ykw the high school is still open kids still going to school. kids need to be in school parents need them in school. jims sister a school teacher and says kids need to be in school she does not like online teaching at all. i did not see anyone without a mask on yesterday but see some people that their mask is covering up their nose pull your mask up buddy. i thought that too rues it was so cold well at least the mask keeps my face warm.  i was hoping sister would not try again but of course she is and she has no thought of maybe one of us getting ykw from it just take me i sure do hope no car trouble on that long trip or a flat tire jim will pretty darn far away i am going to find ford number cause her car is still under warranty just in case it will mean no last try so hope we just get down there and she gets her last time and leave i dont think she will pass rues i hope not. but if she does she cant drive her car i have made that really plain to her. jim and i are really fed up with her actions.

Good morning everyone- looks like another great day here; izzy woke me with the gentlest meow i've ever heard. I must have been waking to have heard her.

We are doing better; i showed info hubby's doctor  gave him. "If you can't wake up or stay awake you need to see the doctor."  Well- he wasn't staying awake- i'm sure he sept more than izzy on thursday.  So he was awake more yesterday. He still has a slight temperature  99.8 so i guess we'll still be in quarantine.

I called our nephew to bring me some bird feed- i had put out the last in the morning and he picked up aspirin for hubby. He hadn't heard we had covid. I told him to just put it on the back porch. So yay! i can feed the birds still.

Then after lunch- sil called and said she was burning trash and she set the field on fire. What should i do? Call 911!  So i went up - couldn't see flames from the road but from the smoke i could see i knew it was out of control. It had been really dry here and the crp is dried out. So i used my cell to call 911. Hubby drove out in the field- no use for us to do anything- fire department on the way. No homes or buildings threatened.  It took a while for them to get here- 5 miles away and all volunteer. They drove past our house and then out into the field. We stayed in the house - hubby went up later to see the burn. He said about 5 acres was burned. Not too bad. Sending a check to the Wellman Fire Department today- we are thankful.

Have a great day jewelies!
