Gonna go now root for the home team Ohio St.  Can't keep up with all the action in these college games takes me so long to find out team names the score is different when I get back to the action.  Good luck to you all may your favorite team win, and not get injured.

God Bless all those in need please

Happy Halloween.  Hope all faves won.  Mine did a good job, and was a good game. West by God was doing good too. Well we don't have to like it, but we  must change our clocks back an hour tonight or we will be way too early to church tomorrow.  Good Night now.

hi jewelies it is 40 here beautiful blue moon 51 in the barn 5 raccoonies.

hi rues oh you know when i posted those skeltons  i said everyone will think nora neighbor did that but that is how it was posted at fb not noras neighbors but still so cool must of been somewhere warm with the pool and all and the trees. anyway i thought it was neat and halloweenie. now onto thanksgiving which we probably will not do anything. dont know about going to jims dad with ykw around and not getting much better oh election we got that we have not had trick or treaters forever well years ago missy brought her girls over that was fun then we played on my wii had cake and icecream course candy. i know rues jim said sister does not need to retire either. and she will have to stay unsick for 3 years and she smokes alot and always has a cold gagging up a lung. she does not need to lay all day follow me around i would not like that like jim said she would start thinking she is the boss around here and we all know how that would go. course she could stay living in her place now and when we drive all the way over she could stay up here longer but have a place to go back too. i think if she passes this test she will stay at work. just stressful time right now griz is barking and barking wish jim would get up. tell crow on that game %&*^$  but i am happy for his team. wildcats have lost to them mountaineers lots of time in a row. they are pretty good.

hi ra! i hope you get up and running today. chiefs play at noon sammy still out sports 610 was saying he is probably on vacation and chiefs said you rest up come back for the play offs. saw clemon won by 6 yay tigers!

hi joho i saw some of your game yay for buckeyes! my wildcats did not win crows mountaineers got them but that is okay want the chiefs to win today at arrowhead playing the jets who have not won but the raiders came to our house and won so take nothing for granted chiefs Go Chiefs!!

Good morning everyone- 30 here and breezy but the eastern sky is light already. Last night when the newsperson said daylight savings time ends it thought- well- we still have the same amount of daylight - it's just the clock that changes. Hmmm!

We had one halloween visitor last night. One of our neighbors still has her youngest who came dressed  as a person riding a velociraptor. Very cute but she almost got blown away- the wind was brutal even though it was 60 degrees.

cal- games yesterday were fun to watch- but Hawkeyes lost too. It is going to be a long (short) season. A also saw that the Steelers play the Ravens today- they always give us problems and the Steeler website said the Ravens were favored to win. Bummer. It isn't being shown here on tv.

Hubby has Jimmy running now- we were going to take it on our ride today but we don't have insurance on it yet. Hubby says the engine sounds good. Yay! Transmission is good but he hasn't tried the 4-wheel drive yet.

Izzy says she wants to eat and so do i .
Have a great day jewelies!

HI Jewelies!  I'm finally back!  Just catching up and doing puzzles.  lol  Love all the Halloween stuff... my favorite time of year!  Besides not having power for 11 hours... tv, internet, and phone was out too.  AND, we had a boil water alert for 2 days, too.  Hopefully, back to normal now.  I don't get to watch any of my favorite teams today though.  Hate that I missed all the Saturday games.  I went to my daughter's house to watch the Clemson game.

cal... Thanks for bringing Nora's facebook page here for us to see!  What an imagination those people have!  lol

Gonna make this a short one... I have lots of catching up to do with other stuff.  Bank statement came while I was offline, and a bunch of other notifications to take care of.  Hope everyone is good and have a nice finish to the day!  Oh, did you guys hear?  Our star quarterback has ykw!  Geez.

Hi cal... Glad the Chiefs won! The bad thing about our qb getting ykw now... he won't be back to play next week against Notre Dame... probably our toughest game yet.

Daily Updates
Excitement and New Faces - UPDATE November 1, 2020
01 November 2020

Lily in den
Lily in den

The big excitement was finding Lily in a den yesterday. The thoughts of what could happen gave me a rush of optimism, but we?ll have to see how things come together. I submitted my den cam application a while ago, Pine Marten
Pine Marten
but again, we?ll have to see what happens. Just seeing her in a den and having her react to ?It?s me bear? by putting her head down and ignoring the company gave me a good feeling. Just seeing her alive at the end of her 13th year was great, but I can?t help crossing my fingers that we can learn more from her through this winter when she is due to give birth. Will she have another litter of four that we can watch her try to deal with?

Out the window today, new faces arrived. I haven?t seen a pine marten for over a year, and there one was just outside the window, showing me its face and the distinctive markings on its chest. We?ll see if he or she becomes a regular.

Then the first common redpoll of this cold season held still for a close-up.

Finally, a robin-sized bird flew to a branch and turned its head to show me its stout bill and olive-yellow crown and rump that identified it as a female pine grosbeak.

Deer were on the alert, trying to separate the rustling noises of high wind from sounds of possible danger.

Thank you for all you do.

Good morning everyone-18 here-brrrr- but not windy. I have a list of stuff to do outside but will wait until it warms up a bit. After breakfast pizza we went on a short drive- hubby always finds gravel roads and we did a very long minimum maintenance road. It was probably a mile or maybe a mile and a half long. There were 2 places that would be impossible for bertha to go through if it had been wet but we were able to skirt around the deep ruts left by grain wagons when it was wetter. Really pretty back in there.

Watched the Chiefs- Yay! and then saw the last of the Steeler-Ravens game. Steelers won- YAY! Ravens are tough to beat. Next week the game is  second on CBS.

Bad news with one of hubby's cousins- he had gone on a trip with his sister and her son from florida to wisconsin to visit relatives.  We got word yesterday that he tested positive for ykw and theh later in the day we got word that he was taken to the hospital by ambulance. No word yet this morning. He lives in the assisted living part of the nursing home in town here. Good thing is that they have mandatory quarantine if you leave the facility and return. So little chance of spreading it there. Sending good vibes his way! This gives us renewed energy to remain vigilant with masks and social distancing. No covid fatigue allowed here.

Will be so glad when tomorrow is over- election fatigue has been here for months!!!

going in to walk early- our rec center added a spin class on mondays now so i'm going to do that through the winter.  If  i survive!  I do feel safe in classes there and really hope we don't have to go to lockdown again.

Have a great day jewelies!

Good morning everyone- 34 here and no wind; highs in the high 60's over the next several days and no precipitation. I noticed most of our leaves are down so i'll mulch with my mower this week some time.

No class today because the facility where we meet is a polling place. There are other rooms we could use but parking is a real pain so we just cancelled today.  My new monday spin class was fun yesterday. Mostly it was the same bunch from the friday class.

Update on hubby;s cousin with covid- he has oxygen and is resting; just a nose thingie; he is talking on the phone with his kids; they are taking turns calling because he needs to rest.  Hospitalizations are up in our state but the counties close to us have  only6% positives. So good and bad news.

cal- hubby happened to be watching when the cheetah jumped into the stands. He was amzed to just vaulted up there! I said -well- his nickname is the Cheetah!

Have a great day jewelies!
