Wow, did we get torrential downpours last night....an amazon delivery was delayed a day and water was overflowing my gutters in front pouring on my deck under the roof....
Can't wait till sunrise and I can see how much in my rain gauge..
Heat for 4 days and then much much cooler...
Not a lot of time to bring in tropicals etc. and other stuff, LOL

Good Morning Beakers!  Caturday!

Phyl, great cat funnies! The move to the carpet, so true! Thanks for the heads up on the Harvest Moon! I am always amazed at how birds never crash into each other! A government shutdown is not designed by any administration, it is standard shutdown of government non-essential services. Great pics of Newman and Lisa!

tsk, today is the last day of September!  Where did September go? I always say, once school starts Christmas is just around the corner. We are having 4 days of hot temps, then back to the good stuff. High today 92, next Saturday 61. That rain in NY is astounding!

kb, love the picture of the tigers!

Lani, Mike has sure been in demand lately, good that he gets at least a week of rest between trips, I hope they plan it that way... I thought that Sydney Sea Eagle video was so funny, the way the youngsters went silent after all their chattering...  ;D ;D  What do you hear from Aly? Hope she is doing well!  And the same for Shannon! Give the Yoga a try, I have thought about it also!

Well, I went out and only 1/2 inch in gauge...total for yesterday: 1 1/2 inches..for the week: 3 1/2...

I'm a little suspicious of that 1/2 inch last night as it seemed so heavy but it was in about an hour hour and a half...also my front yard maple has gotten so big that it may interfere?...I'll wait to see what others report.

Still a godsend.

KB - the Underground Weather station 3 blocks to your West reported 1.71 for yesterday and .21 early this morning.  The storm last night registered at 2 in./hr rate for about 15 minutes.

I checked BL's posts and he was scheduled to leave on the 28th, so he got out of town before the storm.

Time to get to work.

Thank you oldguy...that makes sense about the rate for the 15 minutes especially...my gauge for the day and night might be about 1/2 inch short...or I got that much less..but my camera watched heavy downpours overflowing my gutters for that 15 minutes for sure.

I'm going to move my rain gauge even further away from my big tree....course if I do that now it won't rain anymore this season, LOL
