Thanks for all the Caturday posts and such.

Tsk- thanks for sharing Karen's note from our late pontiff as he was in hospital. It's a treasure.

Lani-
agree ; I'd be remiss if I didn't say how much I enjoyed the stallion at sunset.

Bazi-   IMHO  pet's names are personal and often have emotional roots---Maggie is name sake for my late mother's best friend in the world, Margaret. Who didn't mind that a cat bore her name. RIP Margaret  :-*

There's probably more---but I lost this once. Not gonna risk it again.
Homemade pizza. Pepperoni, sliced mushroom and mozzarella cheese  X 2.  Green salad...No dessert.  ;D

Wishing all my fellow Beakers a Good Evening and a Good Night...SEDs !

karen, Good to cutie Piper's visit going well. Awww to her anxiety. I'm surprised the vet didn't want to extract her molar before summer. Were you given an antibiotic to give Piper while looking for swelling under her left eye? Maybe no antibiotic unless there swelling.

Oh my gosh the finches! Again! Nature does what nature wants that's for sure. Are you blocking off your porch this year?  ;D
I purposely didn't hang my front door wreath this Spring to deter the House Sparrows from building another nest on it. I haven't see them BUT Mom Robin has again resumed trying to build her next on the light fixture above the front door. She's making a royal mess too. Lol
When I see her out front I talk to her telling her I feed her meal worms and provide fresh water so how about to build your next elsewhere please. She's not listening.  :D

A story for everyone. Last year the House Sparrows had laid eggs in the nest on my front door wreath and mama would lay on them of course. Oh btw they took advantage of us being away at the cabin for a few days to do their handy work.  :) Well ..... one day one of my son's came to visit. When he opened the front door (with the wreath with birdnest with mama sitting on egg) opened fully inth the foyer of my house, mama bird flew off nest swiping against my son's head ... scaring the crap out of him ... oh my he yelled LOL ... mama sparrow flew forward then turn left flying down the hallway into my bedroom. I went there, closed the door, opened the window with pushing the screen up and told her to fly out when she's ready. She did.  :D

karen I am very sorry about your two friends. True sad you all lived far apart but your friendships knew of no boundaries.

tig, No way! about your glasses. Well now better luck is heading to you.

Lani, Good news about your head cold and you feeling better.

clynn, 3,100 pictures! And you told them you'll supply theh pictures on big screen at their weddings!! I love it! LOL

Puff, I had the opportunity to visit Rome, Italy and the Vatican and other towns in Italy in the mid 70s when I lived in Germany.
I agree with you. You are correct about visiting there. No words can describe. I am Catholic. Like you said no matter what religious demonization a person is. It's breathtaking. We visited the Pope's summer castle while there and he gave a general audience. We were standing right below his balcony when he gave a general blessing to the crowd. It was Pope Paul VI at that time.

baz, We are hoping to visit to the cabin soon. Haven't been there since our ice visit in February. Noone could get up the long driveway. I was first. Got half way up then slid back and sideways. We all stayed at beginning of the driveway then carefull walked all the way up on top of ice covered snow. Ice was everywhere and rear and sides of cabin. We are meeting with a guy for estimate to put in a french drain. I still don't know if we can afford it because there's stuff here at home needing work. Ugh.
Anyway yes a visit there soon. The bears will be up and about. We had 5 frequenting our trail cameras last year. Some got too close for comfort to the cabin.
My son from Boone, NC is visiting soon. I think of you sometimes about Boone because you know it well. I love it there.

Well SED to all in Beak Room. Take care.
I apologize for how lone this post is!

Bonnie Johnson posts the above reel of one of the eaglets at the DNR nest...There are 3 total.

baz - yes all day yesterday was painting day....well, 4 hours of painting was done. But, it's a lot more work than just the painting time done by my high school friend. Actually someone who also spent a lot of time at my house visiting my twin brother.

I have done the taping on 3/4 of the living room. One has to move half the furniture in the middle. Then move that half back and the other half will be done tomorrow early.

Spent the day today taking the tape off the already painted part. It's not just the base on the floor but a bay window, 3 door openings and another window to the hall. Yes, I know weird but I know it once was an opening to the hall that was capped into a window.

Haven't had time to take Nellie out yet. At the moment she's locked into the garage with 3 very heavy boxes of equipment that needs to be returned. I can't get to my vehicle without going in from the outside garage door. Next week will do that. Chris has decided to let the professionals install that stuff.

Heads up: Very severe weather is anticipated on Monday in southern Minnesota. I think Iowa and Wisconsin as well so need to prepare for that as well.

Busy busy busy.

PHYL  Pretty Maggie  :)

PAULIE   LOLOL  What a story about the sparrow nest.  I will presume the nest didn't fall or the eggs break.  Did she come back to it once out of the house??   How blessed you were to be in the presence of the Pope.  :o   Enjoy your son's visit.  Will he also go to the cabin with you?

KB  Sounds like the painting project is under way.  Do you like the color? I see that you do.  :)   Saving a lot of bucks doing all the taping - tedious and time consuming.  Shephard or kangaroo  LOL/size]

Just asking - No one to talk to at Hatchery cam.

Showing live at the runoff pond this a.m. is family from Goose N1 - BUT also appearing at the same time are two more pairs.  But they don't have any goslings trailing along with them.  I think this is a different scene.  We've had various family groups in past years?  Is my memory wrong?  I'm also wondering about the eggs being brooded at N2.  What was the original projected hatch date?  Did Mother goose get the schedule?

Real encouraged to see mom and T3 getting things rolling and in order at Trempealeau.

Good Morning Beakers!

I was almost done with my post and I hit a key that blanked the screen and lost my post! Seems like it is happening a lot lately! I wish there was an automatic save on the reply screen! Got a text from Kay's sister Debbie, remembering Kay's passing two years ago today. Seems like it was just last week, but also feels like it was 10 years ago...

Lani, poor Mike, I hate detours! For the last 3 or 4 years there has been a terrible detour mess in Champaign as they are working on the I-74 and I-57 interchanges. I think the nest is a finch too. am going to take another look at the eggs in the basket, I didn't notice any speckles but saw some pictures on the web that showed some with very little speckles.  Iris...  :'(

Paulie, oh no, a bird in the house! My friend Kay had a few of them in her townhouse years ago.1 the cover had come off the dryer vent and they were coming in that way, and she had 5 ats at the time! It was crazy! Hope your cabin work isn't too bad, can you still stay in it? And your son coming to visit, you must be excited! Mine lives 18 miles away, and I still love it when he comes!

Phyl, I am sure you would wish for auto-save in the Reply section. I am going to mention it to Amy, maybe, just maybe it's possible! I love the pictures of Ms Maggie, she really looks wonderful for her age. She has a good Mama! hope you and Jim are back to normal, no fun to be sick when the weather is nice! For my last several cats I pick names that Kelsey can say, there are some sounds that she cannot speak. Kind of off subject, but my good friend from Bulgaria cannot say the th sound, when she says with, it comes out wit. Kelsay made enchiladas Friday, but we had fish from the food truck last evening, so enchiladas this evening! Just have to stick it in the oven and heat up some refried beans!

tsk, my cousin Pam's daughter has two little girls named Esther and Isabel, they call them Essie and Izzie. Very confusing! Like Erin's cats Ziggie and Izzie!

tig, you must be feeling so much better to be able to mow! Hope Camper is better!

baz, love the words on the picture! The food was the fish & chips from the On The Hook food truck, we had it for dinner last night! Oh so good! I took part of the breading off since that is where most of the calories are!  Love the picture of the new cat! Be sure and let us know what name they pick! I called our Honey Honeybun a lot, along with Honey Girl. Harley has always been Harley Man or Turdbutt. (a name he earned because he can be a real turdbut... ;D ;D

tsk, you can probably find some perfect stones at Hobby Lobby or Michaels that you can paint. I am going to show those cat rocks Bella, she is in to rocks lately!

Lisa, love the Caturday picture! What have you and Jeff been doing lately? Any trail cam pictures?

Aprilian

by Bliss Carman

When April came with sunshine
And showers and lilac bloom,
My heart with sudden gladness
Was like a fragrant room.

Her eyes were heaven's own azure,
As deep as God's own truth.
Her soul was made of rapture
And mystery and youth.

She knew the sorry burden
Of all the ancient years,
Yet could not dwell with sadness
And memory and tears.

With her there was no shadow
Of failure nor despair,
But only loving joyance.
O Heart, how glad we were!

Today   68F        Tonight  56F

Just came back to say that I've been having issues in Forum when posting as well---like CLynn and maybe others---when trying to post and 'hitting' the  'Post'  button my screen goes blank. In the past I've been able to hit the 'back arrow' at the top left of the screen in Forum and
my post has returned. But, not any more---goes blank and stays blank ---to be lost forever! I'll only redo twice and then toss up my hands in defeat.

Lani thank you ; Oh, that black kitty.

CLynn    3100 photos ! The Munchkins are gonna 'love' their wedding when they grow-up; That's the term I was thinking of (Lani) 'she-shed' ; love thos eagles from W. V. River Gorge National Park / Preserve

Baz "Your mind is a Garden, your thoughts are the seed"...   ;)

Tsk  - to view some Nat. Geo articles--maybe check the security settings ...set to medium that would allow more content. Other than that---I don't know   :-\

KB      hoping you get a chance to take  Nellie for a 'spin';  really good video of Nancy and Beau's eaglet

Lisa   - any trail cam photos?

Tig- glad you're feeling better

Prayers for:  Victims of natural  and Man-made disasters plus those who rescue them. The Fallen / Our Allies in Defense of our country.    Police and First Responders.   'Little Gray' and 'Little One' and  all abandoned, abused , lost cats , stray, unloved, homeless  and feral cats.

Phyl, those moon shots with the eagle owl on a branch are beautiful! Yes, the back button does not take one back any more, and it is very frustrating! Gorgeous good morning pansies and daisies!

Good Morning Beakers....Happy Sunday!

Still not feeling all that great, but wanted to stop in and say, Good Morning.

tsk - Olive Garden, yummy!  Have not eaten there in a while, love the salad and breadsticks.
Thanks for posting for karen.  That was beautiful.

baz - I think it is probably allergies.  I took a COVID test just in case, and it was negative.
Adorable pic of Mabel/Honey/Honey Bun!

tig - Glad that you got your things transferred to new phone.  I am still "old school" when it comes to the calendar. I have never got use to the one on phone.

Phyl - Pizza sounded good for dinner.

kb - Oh boy, sounds like alot of taping.  Thanks for the heads up on the weather.  We had a thunderstorm yesterday evening, and it is now very chilly today.

Lani - Your good night kitty looks like Bandit.

Puff - There is only one gosling family of 5 around the pond this year that I have seen so far.  The N2B goose eggs, I don't think they will hatch, as it is a lil beyond the hatch date for the, I think.  Does not seem as many geese around the pond this year, but they few that are following the gosling family around might want to baby sit or be their nanny.  ;D ;D

clynn - We have been doing the usual weekend stuff.....shopping, cutting grass, and nothing really exciting on trail cam lately.  We did have a big deer that was walking around in the woods behind the fence.  One of the B&B kitties poked its head out there to take a look at it...it was funny!

Sunday Blessings Beakers!
Good morning Tsk, Karen, Clynn, Lisa, Paulie, Eagles4, Baz, Phyl, Lori, Kb, Oldguy, Puff, BL, Ezee, Eburg, Weasel, Jilltosa, Eaglesrock, Emyrauld, Blschue, Tig, Peep, Jaspurr, Lindy, Bggolden, T40, ssrl, Nrstooge, jicaji, LB, and All!

Kb, love the dogaroo! LOL!... glad to hear the Towers have returned.

Puff, Mrs T is amazing. I wish little one would dig itself into the nest when mom is gone fishing.  :-*

Clynn, Love your morning pics.... I'm saving my posts now. I copy my finish post, then click post, if it's gone and won't return even if I use the back arrow. I click out and then repost. I do it again if there's a problem. The tech demons have been bothersome for the past few months. I would love an auto-save... Sunny and Gizmo are getting as big as mom/dad....stunning view of the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve.

Phyl, love your morning pics, especially the pansies and poem.... sending hugs, your posting problem has been mine for months. I always blamed it on my fingers and not paying attention, please read my post to Clynn too.... love the Eagle Owls very romantic.  ;D ... you and Jim take care.

{{{Lisa}}} sorry you are still feeling better... it was a windy day yesterday, this morning our driveway, front door and back are covered with leaves and pollen.  :-\ ... stay indoors until this messy time is over.... I'm old school too and still use a calendar and have sticky notes on my desk/refrig.  ;D ... awww, it's sweet your B&B kitties are still about.... There was 4 two-three year old and 1 adult Elk nibbling on grass by the dog park this morning... once I got Sadie in the fenced in area of the dog park she ran towards them. The youngest elk came over to the fence to her, that set Sadie off. LOL!. I've tried to train her to watch not bark at the Elk at our home. The young elk was not frightened of her at all... After Sadie did her morning duties she was ready to leave for home. The Elk was still nibbling on the grass as we were leaving, both dog and elk decided there was nothing to be worried about.  8) I did take a few pics I need to post them... Take care and feel better soon.
