PHYL  Thanks for the elusive pileated 365  ;D

KAREN   Thanks for clarification on Moody AFB.  I get it now.

LISA   Thanks for Karens "reel" update on Sunny and Gizmo  ;D   I'm off to the store in a minute as well.

LANI  Truly laughed out loud at your AM pic  ;D ;D ;D  That poor cat.   Awww the shoe shine man caring for the kitty.  :)    I've never seen that back kicking to draw attention.  Interesting and it works  LOL   OH those baby kittens broke my heart...   DIVA  LOLOL

KB  What devastation for the Renaissance Fair. I can truly appreciate that.   We have a huge one here that runs all weekends from July 4th to Labor Day. It's actually in Wis on the border with ILL.

KarenG - That's a good deal that your tree professionals have a government contract with Moody AFB.   :)

That is a great indicator that they are true professional licensed and bonded/insured Arborists and are most likely really good at what they do, the "Pros From Dover" as it were.   8)

Here's a sure sign of Springs whacky weather doing up April's annual change of Seasons.

Today's (04/19/25) forecast Maximum temperatures from the NWS NDFD.
1st image.

That's 87° F of temperature difference < 700 miles apart.   :o

That is going to lead to this type of Spring time predictable forecast from the WPC.

Yeah I know I'm a weather geek.

But I spend a lot of time in the Great Outdoors and my bacon depends on my hard learned knowledge of the weather and more importantly how to correctly interpret it's murky brain interpreted signs of whats to come.

That's the learned before one goes.

Put me just about anywhere on the planet with some prior weather research of that environment.

I'm pretty good as a human land lubber two footer at reading the weather a coming maybe 24 hrs out.

No cell phones wit weather apps or satellites communicators & GPS or any other battery operated gizmos at all.

Nothing but my 5 senses wired into the on-board brain computer.

No mechanical weather collection devises ..

Except one rugged ass Taylor USA Made mercury thermometer, a Silva Compass and a paper map and the knowledge of how to use them correctly.

BrokenLug - Thanks for the tunes. My Daddy loved Jackson Browne.  He would have an album blasting on the stereo, while he was outside grilling.

tsk - You're welcome.  :)  The store was not as crowded as I thought it would be this morning.

Puff - You're welcome. LOL, those geese sure do make lots of noise.

Good night, everyone  :)

The shade of the Dogwood trees that are in full bloom well above the Saddle River.

My Mother Father and my middle Brother Jumbo buried together.

I see a new pondering inscribed marble bench from VT has appeared there.

We just sat and cried Christina my Sister.

BL , this crew is indeed professional!   Do not care to have any others fooling with a70+ feet of loblollies near my house!   Lol!   Not sure about heat here.,    During the winter many days, we were 7° higher than normal some days not as much but on the hole it was a much warmer winter then we’ve had since I’ve been here at this time temperatures seem to me to be way above. What is normal a week or two ago we were in the 90s for the solid week then we had a week of cooling and this week which is on its way back up. I looked at the temperature going forward and we’re going to be back in the 90s for at least several weeks I don’t recall this being this hot this early before I’m not real thrilled with it as it makes the golf too hot. And bring down those storms. Everybody loves to hate thanks for your advice and the music and RIP mom and dad sounds like a lovely bench where you can sit and ponder.   My mother died in 1959  (((July))) And not a day goes by that I don’t have a conversation with her.

Puffand Lisa, He’s a very noisy birds, but I kind of love hearing them flyover honking away
Lisa, very pretty pictures this morning and yesterday you’re finding some really good ones someplace. Keep them coming
Lanny and Phyl, you are both posting some wonderful pictures as well. No words on what Iris is up to today and I do want to thank Lisa before I forget it for posting the real and the kids in big bear that they are getting very large and looking great going to sign off and get ready to turn in and get up. Enjoy an Easter Sunday paper says I don’t know what that’s all about but she said the foods involved she’ll sign up. Hope all of you have a good evening and I look forward to seeing you in the morning and maybe  Clynnwill be home!  SEDS

some bounce

Just after church I noticed my cell phone was sticking out of the case in one corner. I think I have dropped it one too many times. Will probably need to get a new one. Rats.

Severely pruned the large hydrangea today with my loppers.

Nest Collapses With Bella & Her Eaglets
NCTC Eagles, DC ~ April 19, 2025
during fierce winds, the nest collapses with Bella & 3 eaglets. Randy & Jim went to the site to assess and found all 3 eaglets under the tree, none survived the 90’ fall to the ground. The strong winds blew the nest apart - it was scattered across the ground.

Sad to watch loss of Bella's nest and moreso the loss of the little guys.  Looks like nest needed more support.  Horrid wind though.

Nice tribute and remembrance for your sister bl.  All of us share our thoughts and sadness with you.  Keep those sweet memories with her as the days pass.  Hugs. . .
