Chat at N1 hasn't been opened so I can clear up my questions.

First of all, on cam 1, they keep showing a nearby perched pair of eagles or one eagle.  Who are they do we think?  Is it the original pair who just didn't get their hormones up and running?  Did they move on?  They didn't match or start a nest but are still staking out the territory for next year?  Is it another pair?

Second set of questions has to do with the Geese at N1.  We have a pair again showing up.  I don't believe N1GM and N1GD would already be leaving unattended their goslings.  But then there's another pair of johnny-come-latelies who found the nest available and waiting.  There also seems to be an intruder trying to take possession.

N1 does seem to be prime property.

Happy Caturday
Hot weather is returning with temperatures going into the 90s next week. There’s no rain in the forecast for at least 10 days perhaps 11 now and I’m going to have to get some sod for an area where the leaning Pine tree is where we moved a job for next week.
Tsk, my tree service has a Government contract with Moody Air Force Base to provide them with all of their needs regarding their trees, so anything they need comes ahead of any other jobs they have
. But I don’t know if that’s a couple of eagles you talk about at  n 1But I thought. Hm and hd Left the nest there and built a nest in the Bluffs. The first year it was that they had English although it was hard to see the mess in the second year this year the nest appeared to have failed so they have periodically been doing the eagle things around the area and do watch the nest as he’s  none  As they  consider that to be their territory.
No , Mother Goose is taking care of her recently hatched babies but there are a number of geese in the area who are still looking for a place to call home at least a temporary one to give them a place to lay their eggs. I would expect this activity will continue for a little while I may be wrong, but this is what I think is going on there.
Tig,
Niceyou  are having a visit from Rosie

Tsk, Hope you are having a day of rest today after all of your work
Bl, Good information on the pollen lol
I Use Flonase Zyrtec and have a prescription for another drug for allergies. I want to get it back shots are better. Just don’t wanna go to Duluth again.
Have a nice day today and look forward to checking in. I’ll post later.

karen  It was me that posed all the questions about Goose N1 and what is happening there.  Sure i interesting behaviors.  We'll just have to wait like usual.  You have some good guesses, too, though.

From Nicholas J Narog Photography

Our Renaissance Fair caught fire from a lightening strike the other night. An example of many pics. An annual event in the Twin Cities. Also a St. Paul church steeple got struck and caught fire.

One strike felt awful close to my house same night.

Lightening can be deadly or destructive.

Happy Saturday all. Starting to remove books from book case and tape off my living room among other tasks to get ready for the light green paint sometime next week. Better to take all that lifting etc. slowly than all at once.

Oh my, what a beautiful cover of a Fleetwood Mac song....gorgeous harmony. I had to listen more than twice.

Apparently the Penelope Road Band. If you google their name many more videos available.

Good Afternoon Beakers

Lani - LOL, I am doing something totally different now.  Jeff wants homemade mac and cheese.  Great pic of Iris.  I need a nice thunderstorm like yours to wash the pollen off our cars.  :D

BrokenLug - You ask and you shall receive!  Humans!  ::)

Puff - They have not had any chat at N1 this season, since there is no eagle nest to watch.  The chat banner had a note in it that said, please join us at the Trempealeau nest.  They do have chat hours for that nest.  This is my personal opinion and mine only....the male looks like it could be Hatchery Dad, but the female not quite sure about it.  Could be Hatchery Mom, could not be.  RRP has never posted another update since the one about the eagle that was found below the bluffs that had passed shortly after they got to it.  I think the geese that has been coming to N1 is another pair.  N1 is some prime property with waterfront and gorgeous view...who would not want to nest there!  ;D ;D

tsk - Sweet morning kitties.  Hope you relax tomorrow on Easter Sunday!

Phyl - Gorgeous basket of white kitties!  Thanks for the 365, love pileated woodpeckers.

karen - Stay cool with that warm weather headed your way.

kb - Wow, that is terrible about the Ren Fest!

Thanks Lisa.  Only connection seen is whomever is in charge of N1 camera.  Also giving a lot of air time for novice/newbie goose 2. Sure is making a lot of noise.  Actually 3 playing around at N1:  The noisy one squawking on patrol and then the two who seem to be attacking in patrol at the ground.   ;D
