LANI   That looks like it might be a calico peeking at us this AM  :)

KAREN   Wow  what an investment for your friend - How would one ever know since many restaurants don't make it.  That link you sent said that magnolia was suited to Zone 6!

LISA   I googled that artist Lizzie Jayne.  She has a lot of cute paintings on that theme. Where are you headed??  See your brother and niece?  Maybe I missed that....

I am headed down to New Orleans to see my real Dad.  He is 81.

I am going to stop at brothers on the way back, and pop in on niece and see if she is keeping the place up.   ::)

Tsk, when I moved here I was in climate zone 8b  planted the tree in that zone.     Zone eight is the hottest zone. The tree has been tested  for,  I am now in zone 9A And the tree seems to be doing well. I believe you posted once that your climate zone had changed as well. Quite interesting.

LISA   How great to see Dad - When was the last time you saw him?   A stop to see your niece is certainly on the menu.  ;) ;)

KAREN   I think we have a little bit of Zone 6 entering our 5 zone.  You are right - Good memory. ;D   To me, zone isn't always a criteria.  So many other things influence whether or not something will grow in your yard even if it is the approved zone.  I say if it grows - it grows.  LOLOL

The last time I saw him was when Bradley was 2 years old.  It has been a while.  He was closer to my brother Kerry, who passed in 2020.

Oh, forgot to tell you, I got a text message from Bradley that he was sitting crossed leg on the floor, and went to get up and heard something pop and he couldn’t move his leg or stand.  He went to urgent care, and is in a hinged brace, they said he tore his LCL?  Needs to follow up in 3 weeks to see how it is healing, or if he will need surgery.

BL, catch one!  Thought tuna was a cold water  Fish tho,  have to look it up! Have a good time and don’t stay in any storms
There was a storm coming in out of the golf soon, so Lisa will have to be careful on her trip south I think she needs to go in the dead of winter going to check out the path of this thing. Myself is all it shows for us is a little rain and I wanna make sure I don’t have to batten down the hatches.
Have a nice evening bakers, and SEDS

Good Morning Beakers!

Lani, perfect good night pic of a totally relaxed cat sleeping in a fluffy bed! If I remember right, it was late February when SWFL had the second clutch a few years ago. Of course, these are different eagles so who knows. We just have to trust them!

BL, ah, the distinctive aroma of BenGay...LOLOL!

Lisa, so sorry to hear about Bradley, I can just hear that sickening pop!  Hope they can fix him up quickly!  When do you leave on your trip? Good that you have relatives to see down south!

karen, I think we are Zone 5 here, have to be careful on the perennials! I think Mom had a Magnolia tree years ago, she is Zone 6. So glad to hear that your finches are back! I know you love checking on them! AWWW, Piper, sweet little girl! Don't you love watching her sleep, so serene!

Phyl, yes, so true, cats don't care! Or don't want us to know that they care!! But we know they love us! Hope your knee is a bit better each day!

This iconic road winds through the heart of Humboldt Redwoods State Park of the Avenue of the Giants in California, surrounded by towering ancient redwoods that create a majestic canopy overhead.

Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away. ~ Unknown

LISA  I wonder if he tore his ACL - ( anterior cruciate ligament) in his knee?    Let's hope no surgery involved.  Not a rare injury by any means.  Boy, That's a long time not seeing real Dad.   :(

BL  So the dart landed in Belize?   Have you been there before?    I'm seasick!  :o 8)  Is Pip fishing too?

LANI  Brings to mind.. Hope that is a real heart on that sweet kitty and not AI generated.   Now on FB so many people comment about how the video is AI - usually on some nature event.  Can't believe anything you see anymore.  Sad.  I'll believe it is real  ;D

CLYNN   Eye-popping us right into a new week  ;D  Sure would love to drive that road in the redwoods  :o :o   How was last night with the munchkins?

Good morning bakers what an explosion of colors this morning from Clynn!   Love the Third picture in the road through the redwoods Best. Hope you had a nice evening with the kids and that you took pictures that will be posted later.
Our weather here is my normal. We went from a high of 81 yesterday to55 this morning and a high prediction of the mid 60s. I think it’s going to be cooler up and down at least for the next week or so Lisa take a lightweight something or other with you or at least check the weather before you leave home. I don’t think it’s going to be tropical if you’d wait a little while you could go to Mardi Gras but I think it’s like this year.
BL are you all out fishing this morning or resting your muscles? You are a true traveling man.
Tsk, The only temperatures what is the ones that make much difference are those when you try to plant something that requires a lot of chilling through the winter in an area that doesn’t stay cold enough I did that in Mobile planting a lilac and a peony both rated for warmer climates. Didn’t work within two years both were dead, and even though they lived a little bit never produced a bloom of any kind I guess if I wanna trade those two for azaleas I need to move
Phyl, The 365s from France are always interesting. I guess I love the scenery and the topography of the mountain areas today with the snow was interesting.
 How’s the night going?
Lani is Michael and this week and when does  A,y get their? It would be nice for you to have her there. How is Shannon doing? I’m assuming well what is she doing? She is able to do several different careers and I’m just wondering what she settled in or maybe nothing she still looking around
Have a good day, Bakers
