Good Morning Beakers!

Lani, you are right, I found this article showing animal bridges all over the world! https://allthatsinteresting.com/animal-bridges-wildlife-crossings   Thanks for the Roberta Flack music, her voice was beautiful... the music was always up full blast on the road!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8_fLu2yrP4

oldguy, love the Lesley video, never heard of 'bird mobbing'!  Very interesting! Great video of Jackie and Shadow, pesky raven better stay clear!  The weather looks good at Big Bear, what a lovely view!

BL, so today is Pip's birthday! My sister Cathy is 1.5 years younger than me, and she lords it over me for the half year that I am 2 years older than her...  Love your birthday tradition with the map! You sure made a good choice with Pip, she has the wanderlust that you have! Did you meet somewhere in the wilderness?

Lisa, I think my cats would have been howling if they came face to face with another cat on the other side of the door! I know Harley and Honey did. I heard the blood curdling howls and ran to the front hall to see what the heck was going on. There were fur bits all over the rug and their tails were huge. A cat on the porch looking at them. They jumped each other in their panic! Haven't seen that with Sam & Sophie ...yet. I did hear one howl a couple of weeks ago when I let them go on the deck. I didn't see anything, but both of their tails were bushed out and the ridge on their backs were standing up when I let them in!

tsk, no mail for 6 days? Not honestly possible with all the junk mail out there! Made me think of the Seinfeld episode when Newman showed the bags of mail he had stashed in his storage because he was too lazy to deliver it!  And it really does happen: https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/nyc-postman-was-real-life-newman-who-hoarded-mail-officials-n212381

Sue Bruhling - Handsome Mr. North & his Two Golden Eggs! ❤ Surrounded by a wall of Grasses to keep them Warm & Dry!! ❤
The Eggs look great as well as him! ❤ Thank you! Debbie Botelho for sharing your Post & Pictures with us! ❤

PHYL   You have us going on a new word a day  LOL  " burble - Like the sound of that word.  :)

BL   So you both throw a dart and decide which trip to do?  or do both in a year?  Cool!  That was some beautiful scenery in the Van Morrison song.   Wyoming?

KB   Beautiful shot from Bonnie Johnson.  Huge nest!

OLDGUY  Either the raven is new to the area or has a death wish  LOL   Funny neighbors - humor certainly needed in this world.  Will catch bird mobbing later

CLYNN   Beautiful AM post pics  :)

I'm highly recommending the new 10 part series The Americas narrated by Tom Hanks.  First episode was East Coast and second Mexico.  Absolutely stunning photography often of very familiar things but done in a different perspective.

Lovely birthday posts for BL & Pip...I don't dare look at those cakes. ::)
{{{Sauces nest}}}

{{{Kb and Ollie}}} Hopefully another good night for  Ollie Man;  Bonnie Johnson, photo of  New Richmond, WI nest aka 'Tornado nest' Thanks.

Tsk- Yes! we've been watching " The Americas" narrated by Tom Hanks.  No mail for days  :o  I'd wonder and watch my box

OG -Tks for videos...BBVNC  Jackie gave that raven the 'what for'; Maru 'meat buns' = paws...not a cat of mine would agree to paw washing...cool piano fence and  nice tree arch covered side walk

Lani- 'Hoot, hoot";  Tks for the  R. Flack  :-*

CLynn- Tks for sharing Sue's handsome Mr. North & his Two Golden Eggs; I , all too well remember 'Newman' of Seinfeld and his mail bags. Yes it does happen to some folks.

BL -  Pretty cool throwing  a dart to decide which trip.   Van Morrison song had some awesome scenery. Like Tsk guessing Wyoming.

Prayers for:  Victims of natural  and Man-made disasters plus those who rescue them. The Fallen / Our Allies in Defense of our country. And   #47.   Police and First Responders.   'Little Gray' and 'Little One' and  all abandoned, abused , lost cats , stray, unloved, homeless  and feral cats.
The Bluebirds of Cane Ridge, Tennessee,  Sauces bald eagle cam nest, Hummingbirds, Bumble Bees  and Honey bees everywhere . As always, Beakers, Cheers and RRP / families.

Royal Albatross Ranger Sharyn Broni
"Kia ora koutou" (hello everyone)

Royal Albatross ~ DOC Ranger Weighs SSTrig In A Larger Pink Bag! 2.25.25
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w3JL2IvBVAw

Feb 24, 2025
It is weight day for all the chicks in the colony and SSTrig gets its weight taken this morning in a new larger pink bag! SSTrig is feisty and ready to clack and defend itself! The DOC ranger is extra gentle and moves slowly to not upset the chick, picking it up and putting it in the bag. SSTrig's head is sticking out as he raises the bag to take the weight! Then it slips down into the bag lol . The ranger carefully takes SSTrig out and puts on the nest and untangles its paddle from the bag. Enjoy some nice closeups of the chick wet from a rain shower this morning. RLK did return to brood SSTrig from the rain.

Since hatching at 286g on the 28th of January, the Royalcam chick at Signal Station Flat has grown to 2 kg on day 28, (Tuesday 25th of February). This is a 600g increase on the weight from last week.  :-*

PHYL   Great AM glass bird hangers.   I wasn't here when at 11:30 Tim called to say our mail gal had just made a special stop here with the mail truck to deliver 6 days of mail to us.  I was just on my way to the post office to get the mail...Good timing.  I would have generated some conversation with her but Tim always leaves that to me  LOLOL  She's off again next week  Boo

TIG  I really liked Clint Hill's book Mrs Kennedy and Me.  RIP

LANI   I love how the Royals are needing a bigger bag for weighing - a good sign.  LOL    Special trip by mail gal Anna to deliver 6 days of mail.  She's off again next week.  Some repair work on her plumbing.    No 3 fingered sloths this time around.   Pablo  LOLOL

Good Afternoon Beakers

kb - So sad about Roberta Flack, RIP.

tsk - Lil Spotty is the friendliest of all the B&B kitties. Keep us posted on the mail.  Do you get informed delivery, so you know what you are expecting in your box everyday? Thanks for The Americas recommendation.  I will have to see if I can find it on one of my streaming channels.

Phyl - How is the knees this morning? Pretty stained glass pieces!

karen - I bet Lil Spotty would come in, if he trusted us a lil more.  Hope you and Piper had a good night sleep.

BL - Where did your darts end up?  Maybe I didn't read it yet?

Lani - Love the pic of the owl. Thanks for the TRR and Royal updates.

clynn - Oh, yikes on the hair standing up and tails fluffed out.  Bandit did nip at Misty yesterday when lil Spotty was out there.  I was wondering if he was thinking, is that Misty outside, or is my parents thinking of letting another cat inside.  ;D

oldguy, Puff, tig, baz and all - Afternoon  :)

TIG   Yes I saw Mike Rowe's tribute on FB yesterday.  Well done.  Glad you are enjoying The Americas too - agree with your comment 100%

LISA   An orange theme coffee today  ;D   Yes I get informed delivery to see what mail I'm not getting  LOL.  Tim finally went through it all this afternoon.  Mostly junk mail  of course, 5 pieces of first class for him and 3 for me!   Bandit and Misty:  I remember with our first shelter cat Big Kitty - a tabby.  It was summer and I heard her "growling" at the back door and if I remember it was another cat crossing the porch.  I came up behind her to check it out and she quick turned around and bit my leg!   I think it's a cat thing and from that time on I never went near any of our cats behaving like that.
