BL attached below is a bigger but not complete pic of my ash tree.
I thought more about your recommendation yesterday last night.

Over 26 years of living here and she was not young when I bought the property, she has only lost some large branches once or twice. Once in a May ice storm.

She sits low at the bottom of a steep hill. On the other hand, my willow was lost which sat up the hill next to my house in a microburst and a front yard ash uprooted in same storm.

Oh btw, Mr. Tower once perched on one of those curved branches. She's been pruned by Excel in a disastrous way one year claiming her branches hung over the power lines. Since only my fave arborist is allowed to touch her. Excel used an often berated subcontractor.

Anyway, she seems to be pretty protected low to the ground there as have been many of my neighbors similarly sited trees.

Lani - your convo about Mike's ancestry is interesting to me. As you know my maiden name is the same as his last name, now yours. I legally kept two names, one professional, and one married name.

But as all of my ancestors come from Norway except for my Grandfather's last name, my maiden name is Scottish or British..I've done as best I can studying my Norwegians but not my British/Scottish ancestry. Should do that sometime, somehow.

Good Evening Beakers

A cooler day here today, only made it to 37 with 10-15 mph winds, which felt cold.  Back to mid 50s for the next 2 days...

Kb, you and Chris should keep working on your ancestry. Mike enjoys it, it's a break from work. I hope Mr Tower returns.

Phyl, Love your good night pic... I was receiving upsetting texts on my iphone from someone... I've not been followed here, though while I was dealing with my text problems, I stopped walking and drove to the dog park in the early morning hours before the sunrises. Sadie and I will start walking this week, the temps will be in the high 30's. Rest and take care.

Oldguy, thanks for links.... I'll watch the Juan video later.... oh, that's sad about Constish, D'Artagnan's girlfriend - Looks like Walter is having issues too...  The below was posted below under WalterSanti.

I still find it hard to believe that this actually happened. This past Monday evening, when I went down to the front yard for the evening feeding, Constance collapsed to the ground in front of me. And her heart stopped in around 20 seconds. I did cpr on her with my vet on the phone during the whole process but she didn’t come back. I checked the security cams and saw that she was well and acting normal until the time I arrived to the front yard. The vet said she most likely had a heart attack. She wasn’t sick or anything beforehand and there didn’t seem to be anything wrong with her on the outside at least.
She had been living with us for 8 years and we think she was around 9 years old.
She has always been known in our channel as D’Artagnan’s Girlfriend but for the past few years, she has had a real name. Her name was Constance; Constish for short. And it was finally going to be revealed at the end of the 5th part of their video series with D’Artish.
I still find myself putting one extra plate to the floor without realizing. This is the absolute worst part of having them.
We buried her in our farm just like Zoom.
And of course, when I am able to, I will finally honour her with a solo video that she very much deserves..

(An update on Walter: On the community page of our channel, I mentioned that he’s been receiving treatments related to his gastric issues. It’s been more than 3 weeks now and his treatment is almost over and he is okay right now gastric-wise. But unfortunately his movements have gotten slower very much lately.  X-Rays showed that his vertebrae are in bad shape. (He is 13 years old.) I’ve been giving him joint supplements for a long time; but now with the suggestion of our vet, we will additionally try some extra medicine to ease his probable back pain. We were waiting for his gastric issues to resolve first since these pain killers can also cause gastric problems. I am hoping that his movements can benefit from that when we finally use it.)

F23 flies in strong this afternoon & lands at the pond's edge. She wades in the water and takes sips for several minutes, walking to the right (west). She looks good ♥ F23 will then start to take her bath and dunk her face and wings in the water. She then goes to the bank but changes her mind, returning to the water for another soak and then up the bank. She walks to the right (west) towards the overhang tree and stands in the water. F23 is hidden by the tree. Cam op finds F23 on the DSPS drying her wings. She looks beautiful! Seeing F23 resume normal eagle activities in the pond gives me hope that she will survive the HPAI. The same for M15 who was seen on the nest with the sub adult this morning.

M15 & F23 are not out of the woods and remain in a critical time period for the next 7-10 days for signs of the HPAI flu. We are continuing to hold M15 & F23 up in prayer for their health to remain strong. Thank you for watching!

Good night!🙏

Good Morning Beakers!

Phyl, beautiful fox in the 365, big fluffy tail! I had forgotten that it was Groundhog Day.  His record isn't very good...  ;D ;D  Our high today will be 57, a heat wave!  And wind only 6 mph! How is your knee doing? Praying for a cancellation for tomorrow! Sad about Walter Santi's cat, I have only ever had one cat that just passed away with no warning whatsoever, that was Beanie, my Blue Point Siamese in 2007. I think Walter is Santi's dog.

Lani, I am so glad to hear that you haven't had any scary texts for a while now. I wasn't sure if Erin's suggestion would work, I am so glad it did!  You and Sadie need those morning walks, it's your therapy for dealing with this world.  Any news from Aly and her job situation?  Thanks for Lady Hawk's update on SWFL, prayers for M15 and F23...  Love the kitty toe beans!

oldguy, the cat bowling video was very interesting! Thanks for all the links, still checking them out!

tsk, what I hope ended the annoying and scary texts was this: since they were coming from an email, set up a contact and enter the email address. Then scroll down and activate the Block Caller function. It would work the same way if you entered the phone number from a text. Just enter whatever you want as the name of the contact.

Lisa, cute good morning kitty pic yesterday, and a yummy looking cup of coffee today!

SWFL F23 watches a News crew do a story on her family.

KAREN   Hope you feel a bit better tomorrow.  I call that a "low energy day" when I just would love to take a nap.  LOL  I think you do really well speaking.  I'm not good at it on my phone.

LANI   thanks for that follow up info on Constance and Walter.   Hard to lose any of those cats but he has cared so well for all of them.  :'(   Thanks also for the hopeful SWFL update.  Long time to wait this out.  :(

PHYL    PHil right 30% of time.   LOL

CLYNN   Stunning mosaic guitar.   I copied and pasted those directions to a document.  thanks  Hope I never have to use it.  Great screen cap of F23 and crew down below

So sad to read and watch loss of our dear furry and feathery friends.  Makes us sad when - but makes us remember the joy of having them for our memories.  Walter S losing Walter, Lani losing Constish, all SWFL friends losing 24 / 25 and watching parents carrying on lonely too.

But let's smile and cherish our past memories.  We just get so spoiled having these "friends" as part of our lives.  We are so privileged to have had such great joy having had them.
