Sunday Blessings Beakers!
Morning Eagles4, Lisa, Ezee, Eburg, Weasel, Jilltosa, Kb, Tsk, Karen, Oldguy, Puff, Eaglesrock, Emyrauld, Lilbro, Blschue, Lori, Clynn, Tig, Baz, Phyl, Peep, Jaspurr, Pink, BL, Bggolden, T40, ssrl, Maxie, Nrstooge, Paulie, jicaji, LB, and All!

Phyl, PP may have seen his shadow and declared six more weeks of winter, here temps have jumped 20 degrees this morning. Looks like warmer temps ahead for us.... Well, I had another text from unknown email address  :-\ ... I did what Erin suggested, add to address book and then click on "Block Caller" and I deleted contact.... gorgeous Red Fox with Crows at his heels in another JB Classic nature video.

Lisa, pretty morning post... had another bad text from new unknown email address. Another gmail account.... I did what Erin recommended  :-\ ... I drove to our communitiy dog park today. There must have been a coyote about, Sadie kept looking behind us. At least our community center exercise hall is always open at 6am and I can take Sadie in there if there's a problem with coyotes. One or two people start using the exercise equipment at 6am, so there is always someone close by.

Clynn, I love the mosaic guitar.... had another strange text this morning from new unknown email address. I repeated what Erin suggested.... Aly update: She's closing her office end of March and will return to live with us in April. She will work with a TeleHealth online system till she gets her license and has the funds to find a permanent situation in another state. Such as Washington, CA, or midwestern states.... wonderful photo of F23  :-* ... I'd love to walk the Bright Angel trail with Sadie. Have a good day.

Hi Tsk Have a good day  ;D

{{{Hi Puff,}}} good to see your post! How are you doing? Did you find someone to help you with your hair? Walter S is okay, he's having a couple of issues related to being a 13 year old dog....

Royal Albatross - 2/2 Cross Fostering. (This is new for me)

Sharyn ~ Royalcam chick is not gaining as much weight as we would like to see.
We have a nest available that will feed the chick sooner.
This is a temporary move, and the chick will be returned to its nest at some point, possibly after a changeover here.
When mom GLG returns.

https://x.com/i/status/1885967958964605345

Cross fostering is a process where a chick not gaining weight in a nest will be swapped with a larger, fuller chick from another nest to get the smaller chick fed quicker by a parent. Toroa are accepting of other chicks prior to the end of the guard stage when there is a parent on the nest full time. This means less need for supplementary feeding which is better for the chick.

The rangers are wondering if finding the needed food is the reason they are traveling such a long distance away from the nest and taking almost two weeks before returning. The parents need to store more food in their stomach to provide nourishment for chicks.

BL    So you climbed that??? :o :o
Yup.  :)

Clynn posted a pick of SPIDER ROCK last February. Some Beakers and I had some back and forth about it starting with Clynn's post here:

And a few pages after her original Post ..

We use the more accurate Groundhog named Staten Island Chuck around here.   ;) ;)

Punxsutawney Phil's record isn't really that good.   ::)

Here's some more fun stats on some of the prognosticating Marmota monax ..   ;D

this is my favorite bird these days. A shoe bill stork most likely interacting with a caretaker.

Happy Sunday!

Took advantage of another 41 degree day. Walked Ollie, 4 times this week now, grocery shop, and blew the neighbor's ash seeds off my driveway and grass....we had a stiff wind yesterday.

My guess is we will have winter like we haven't had so far in the next six week no matter who does the predicting, LOl...yup cold AND snowy coming up.

I agree KB.

I sure don't use any "shadow" predictors for the rest of Winter around here either.   :P

February around here is when we traditionally get hit with the doozie crippling Nor'easters in the Tri-state area.  ::)

clynn - Thank you.  :-*  Ditto what tsk said about the guitar.  Very cool that F23 was there while the news station was reporting on the nest.

Lani - Im sorry about the text, but if the blocking thing isn't stopping it, you may need to get the police involved.  ((hugs)) Poor Sadie.  Thanks for the Royal update, very cool that another parent will foster.

BrokenLug - I hope Chuck is right.  I want an early Spring too, but I think we are in for some snow in a week or so!

tsk, Puff, kb tig - Waving at ya!  :D

Howdy Beakers!  :)

Brr! Cold rain here today. We need it, but it's dreary out the window. I plan to watch the Grammys tonight at 8p Eastern, on CBS, I think.. Red carpet starts at 6p, Eastern, on the E! channel, I think.

So sad about the recent plane and helicopter crashes, over the Potomac near DC, and in Northeast Philadelphia. Prayers for all involved.

Regarding the mid-air collision crash over the Potomac... I finally saw the names of the pilots, based out of Charlotte, lost from the crashed American Airlines (American Eagle) plane, none of whom I know personally. I had been wondering because I was trained by 2 pilots who were hired by that airline, and I had flown often with a 3rd pilot who was also hired by American.

(((Lani))), yucky day in our college basketball worlds yesterday!!   I'm so sorry about that harassment/stalking you're getting!! Please call Verizon to report your anonymous stalker, and request assistance with stopping it. Also, report it to the FCC. And make a police report! Definitely make a police report! P. S. I highly recommend that you make a police report if you haven't yet.

I didn't do much yesterday. Mostly because it was Caturday, and I my motivation came from this:

... so that's the reason I never got here to post yesterday.  ;D ;)

Oh, a few days ago, my twin greatnephew broke the metacarpal connected to his ring finger on his left hand - his dominant hand. It happened when he was catching a ball at school (I don't know how). He'll get a hard cast in a few days (don't know why not right away), and will need to wear it for 4 weeks. I hope he will still have some way to write while it heals.  :-*

LANI    Oh MY  LOLOL  What can I say.   I see the religious communities are embracing all.  ;D ;D     If you got an unwanted text wouldn't that mean it is coming from a phone number and not an email address??? ( I'm confused)    Great to hear there is a safe place to go with Sadie if need be.  I forget.  Is that dog park fenced?   You will have Aly back by spring - altho the circumstances could have been better.  :(  At least she will be able to work and save some money.   That is so interesting that they can switch baby albies around like that .  But better the natural feedings than the ones the Rangers would have to give, if I understand that properly.

BL   Sorry I missed the fact that the climb had been discussed before - Brain fart!   I vote for your groundhog!

KB   Isn't that shoebill stork cute.  :)  You sure can't miss the sound ID  :o

BAZI    That was a freaky catch for your great nephew.  Kids heal pretty quick.  Think you may have forgotten to attach the  photo??

TSK, check again? The photo is attached. Do you see it? Yes, thankfully, he'll heal fast! I'm more concerned about the fact that it is his dominant hand - he needs to be able to write for school during the 4 weeks he'll be in a hard cast.

Waving back Lisa - with the good hand.  Doc said give it 6 more weeks, and lots of exercise.  My own prescription is to stop using just one hand to type and use the correct fingering on the ugly hand.  That hurts, self-imposed, BUT . . .    :-\

Treated myself yesterday mani and pedi.   Gave up on pedi years ago, arthritis in spine you know. But currently cannot paint the good hand because other hand doesn't work, plus gets the shakes.  Tech looked up my record and said my last appt was 4 months ago!  Toes still had FALL holiday color for Thanksgiving.  I did have naked fingers though; just couldn't polish.  My routine is once a week, do my fingers, read the daily newspaper while they dry.  FOUR MONTHS!

Big plans for tomorrow, I'll report in with good news there, I hope.  Another learning experience

Thanks for listening to all of the Beak group - just venting.

I don't really buy into that Groundhog  Day stuff. After all it's just for fun. Just thought it'd make a fun post   ;D

Lani/Tsk- I was wondering the same when I read that. I get lots of unsolicited  'garbage' texts.  ::)
Gonna have to visit AT &T store for help.    Tks for the Royal report and photos.  Nice you and Sadie have a safer alternative to the walking trails.

CLynn-  'Far out!"  F23 was there when station was reporting on the nest.  Awesome mosaic  guitar.

Puff-glad Doc said give it 6 more weeks, and lots of exercise. You'll be  on the mend  in on time.  "Treated myself yesterday mani and pedi." So glad you were able to do that.  :)
I did too. Well a mani at least. See Orthopedic surgeon on my R. knee injury this Wednesday gonna check on pedi as I don't' have full range of motion on that knee at this time.

Tig- heard on FNC  about Rory at Pebble Beach Tourney

Baz- no photo of G. nephew here' to good recovry; LOL your Caturday

Good Evening Beakers...SEDs all.

Baz, I see the photo of your Great Neohew just  fine!  Hoping he will be fine in four weeks when he’s an old man he may have some pain where the break occurred from arthritis setting in at least that’s what’s happened to me in my left wr
Puff glad you’re moving along with your orthopedic issues and Phyl, You have a short few days before seeing someone about your knee I am hopeful that they will be able to repair it for you or at least give you some relief somehow so you can get about doing your thing
Weather is pretty funny but I must say that we are going to be in the 70s for most of the next two months there will be one or two days and it only go to the 60s but no days below freezing or probably even in the 30s very strange weather as it is a little warm for this time of year I guess I need to get summer plants potted, and outside before they sell out. We’ll probably start some seeds  As well, they sell out fast
Been busy for the last few days cleaning a few floors, my shower and the shower, mat washing clothes and putting the pot roast in the freezer. Did a few other things but I can’t remember what must not be important anyway will be watching the Grammys
It is hard to get over the tragedy of the last few days with aircraft and I have to say that I was on the bridge crossing the Potomac when the plane went down and I think 1982 it was really something to say and actually I wasn’t sure what I was looking at until I got home and turned on the news. I can’t tell you how many times I have flown in and out   Of Reagan airport, which at the time I believe was called Washington National.  Baz, I can sympathize with your anxiety while you waited to see who the pilots were on the American Eagle flight years ago a college roommate of mine Lane that went down in the Hudson killing everyone on board. She was on her way to Paris for a few months in the summer, staying in an apartment of a friend of hers, who spent the summer on the Riviera and let my friend use her apartment in Paris My friend Lois Lived in Manhattan, and while she hadn’t told me she was going to Paris at that time. Somehow, I sensed something was not right when I heard about the crash and  Red the newspaper which had published a list of passengers, she was listed at the end.  Very sad.

Piper and I will fold the laundry and turn in for the evening. so far  I’m 15 and I have 23 are still doing well. I certainly hope this continues love watching the Juvies who have  flying around the nest.

Tsk no no.
So many places ?
I have literally lost track of them all but not really.
A mind meld of them all experiences is my motivation.

My next outing is to the Great State of Maine.    ;D

There is not enough snow on the ground there to even report on.   :(

Good Tin Roof fixing weather however they said ..

It's Feb in ME on an island out in the Atlantic Ocean.

Don't blow smoke up my wool skull cap.

I got me some righteous wool gear that wood shame a yodeler Pip said.

Our own world procured wool kit.

Trigger pulled.
