We are up way to early for us and will go shopping this afternoon!  That is, if tge help comes!  She did not seem perky yesterday and I would not besurprised to leatrn she is staying home!
I cooked a pot roast yesterday.  Pretty good and enjoyable as Imhad not had one in a long time.   Almost too hot here for this!

Good Morning Beakers!

Phyl, love all the pretty pictures of the chickadees yesterday, I see them a lot at my bird feeders! Sweet pic of Jack and Audacity snoozing together...

Lani, thanks for the good news of the new chick for RLK & GLG! Those rangers sure do watch over the Albies and they take such good care of them! Have they ever named the chick like SSTrig before?  Love the video of Dad admiring his baby!

Lisa, thanks for the information on what CROW found regarding the SWFL eaglets. So sad that there is an outbreak somewhere in the area.  Prayers for M15 and F23 and other eagle families in the area. Very good video from CROW, thanks so much for posting it. Now it's just a wait and see regarding M15 and F24.

baz, and thanks for re-posting the CROW article. Prayers...

Big Bear Valley - A third egg for Jackie and Shadow! We’re now waiting about 35 days to see how many will hatch this time around.

Norway is a country known by many for its fairy-tale landscapes, and this example confirms this.
This photograph is of the Bulandet archipelago on the western coast of the Nordic country.
It is made up of 15 main islands and more than 200 smaller islands. The total population is 260 people.

The swelling has not shrunk pas the size of the original 'egg' shape  point of impact on my knee. I'm so close to doc appt and
I don't think ER can help me  beyond what ER has already told me.  Plus, I wouldn't be able to see an Ortho doc any sooner than
my current appointment. So I'll just keep doing what I've been told until then.  I still have pain .

Clynn- tks for Big Bear Valley -  Jackie and Shadow's 3rd egg.

Baz- tks for the more in depth look at Lisa's post about  E24 and E25...and risk for M15 and F23. Read later

Lani- thank you!  I agree "... Dad RLK looks amazed at his new baby. "

Lisa- Hurrah! Auto is fixed.  Many tks for video on E24 and E25...bird flu  :(.    The kn ee seems to be going down hill .

Sending  special prayers for the Potomac River crash victims and their families of
American Eagle Flight 5342 and  U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter.

Prayers for:  Victims of natural  and Man-made disasters plus those who rescue them. The Fallen / Our Allies in Defense of our country. And   #47.   Police and First Responders.   'Little Gray' and 'Little One' and  all abandoned, abused , lost cats , stray, unloved, homeless  and feral cats.
The Bluebirds of Cane Ridge, Tennessee,  Sauces bald eagle cam nest, Hummingbirds, Bumble Bees  and Honey bees everywhere . As always, Beakers, Cheers and RRP / families.

Good Morning Beakers...TGIF!

tsk - Yes! Car is all ready for my next road trip.  :D  Funny thing happened tho at dealership, when they were done with car and I got in it I had noticed that the outside temp gauge on car said 80°, it was not 80° here yesterday.  So, I drove out the service center and around the building, and temp went down to 58°, it was 43° outside.  I took it right back to the service center and told them.  They were like OH, that is odd.  Let us take a look.  Waited a bit longer there, and he comes back and says, we took it for a drive and the temp is now back to normal.  I said, if this is not correct, I will be back.  He says, I know you will.  ;D ;D

Lani - Another pretty pic from Seal Island!

baz - You're welcome, and I thought the video was very informative too.  I had read an article later in the evening after posting the link about CROW's findings that said, the bird flu also affects birds in your backyard that you feed.  It said, to clean your bird feeders once a week.

karen - You are up early!  Mmm, pot roast sounds yummy!  Hope the help comes.

clynn - The avian flu does sound miserable.  Fingers crossed for a good season at Big Bear!

((Phyl)) - Hang in there!

LANI   Maybe albatross have a poor sense of smell not to notice the difference in fake and real egg.  Must be the texture and size? I've always wondered that too.

BAZI   thanks   I did go back and listen to that video.   Very sad.

CLYNN   Third egg for Jackie and Shadow   :)  Norway is like living in another world.

PHYL   Cute keyboard car  ;D

LISA   I notice when  the car is in the garage it takes a while for the temperature to record accurately outside   They know you pretty well however  LOLOL

TGIF Beakers!
Morning Eagles4, Lisa, Ezee, Eburg, Weasel, Jilltosa, Kb, Tsk, Karen, Oldguy, Puff, Eaglesrock, Emyrauld, Lilbro, Blschue, Lori, Clynn, Tig, Baz, Phyl, Peep, Jaspurr, Pink, BL, Bggolden, T40, ssrl, Maxie, Nrstooge, Paulie, jicaji, LB, and All!

Baz, thanks for reposting Lisa's CROW article.

Clynn, yes, they have named all the Royal cam chicks.... Last year's Top Flat chick was named "Kiwa" before that "Manaaki" and "Lilibet". ... this year Royal Albatross cam nest location is at the Signal Station Trig (SST) Royalcam chick will be ID as SSTrig until they are ready to name him or her... I pray the Big Bear eagles will have a successful season. These last two years the eggs froze  :'( ... You've posted Norway beautiful small islands before and each time I wish I lived there. I love the seclusion and simplicity of the area. I've mentioned the area to Aly, during her time there, she never visited at part of Norway.

Karen, pot roast sounds perfect for this week... I think I'll make one for Mike tomorrow....

{{{Phyl}}} cool car....  I can't imagine the discomfort and pain you're going through... sorry  :(   🙏

Tsk, Phyl I wonder if any of the Royal Albatross have ever experienced having their chicks hatch under them... I mean do they think "wait you are taking my egg!!   and then the next second... shazaaammm it's a two day old chick!!! ??? No fuss or mess ... amazing, just amazing! ;D

Lisa, I bet they know you well at the dealership. Are they on your Christmas card list?  ;D ... thanks for posting Karen's article link.

Weigh Time for SST chick as Dad RLK watches

Weighing in at 286g on hatching day and now at 400g on day 3, we will be tracking the chick’s weight up until fledging in September. Before this time the chick should weigh at least 7kg. https://www.doc.govt.nz/nature/native-animals/birds/birds-a-z/albatrosses/royal-albatross-toroa/royal-cam/track-the-chicks-weight/

Comparisons of average male and female chick weights and all the past Royalcam chicks are on these graphs also.

We will weigh the chick twice a day for the first week and once a day, typically in the morning for the second week. After the second week weighing will be once a week, mostly on a Tuesday, weather allowing.

During the first couple of weeks, we check the chick over for any issues such as food spills in the nest that can attract flies.

Read more about the work we do with the toroa here: https://www.doc.govt.nz/nature/native-animals/birds/birds-a-z/albatrosses/royal-albatross-toroa/royal-cam/rangers-work-for-royal-albatross/

Where is Mom GLG?
GLG has flown a distance of at least 450km in the last 3 days and is now off the coast of Christchurch/Banks Peninsula.

I use to have to take one hand off of the rope/rock to hear and reply.   :o

I like all of my 4 points touching solid vertical rock now as I more understand gravity and organs slashing past skeletons.   :o

Young, dumb and full of rope.

Thanks!  I'll download that to my playlist....would have been good pruning/cutting/deadheading millions of hydrangea flowers today....I did however avoid poking myself in the eyes....okay, a little hyperbolic with the number in the millions, but it felt like it, LOL...I also try to take about a third of most large branches back.
