PHYL  Don't get the purpose of the stairway.  :o   Loved your AM pics  ;D   Those chickadee feathers are so beautiful

BL  You have a better than good dog there.  :)

CLYNN  Think Mom will get the storm that is missing us.  Am sure you have stocked her frig.   Sam the funny sleeper  ;D  Sure do remember that MTM scene. ;)

LANI   Thanks for the info on the battery charger.  New to me.

Tsk--  my guess --purpose of stairway is so two people can go in opposite directions if needed.

10 yrs ago we had Mike, a cat who would fetch
a tossed squeaky Tweety Bird  just like a dog  and  bring it back, drop it at your feet and wait for it to be tossed again, and again and again.
Little Maggie would watch in puzzlement .

Lani-- tks for info on battery charger ditto Tsk, new to me as well; doggy cuddle puddle, cute

Very interesting mystery on the MISS -- what is the mystery object floating along through the icy covering on the river?  My guess is an escapee buoy?  Check out GSB cam

My latest report - First, a cam operator came on duty about 20 minutes after hour.  Zoomed out and  gave a different perspective.  I think it was the ice floes moving that made it look like buoy was moving.  Breaks in the ice trail was absolutely straight. When cam went panned out, wide pic made it become clearer.  Buoy or whatever it is must be hooked on something.  Harder to see since panned out, smaller image.

Anyway - excitement overload - no hooked, huge fish pulling it through the water.   ::)

Had no idea we had this many eagle's nest in Chicagoland!!!

http://digitaledition.chicagotribune.com/infinity/article_share.aspx?guid=62116d96-4f74-4fc0-b14b-84f622002540

PHYL  It just looks like a regular staircase with alternate stepping as you would on a regular staircase.  A person who could only go one step at a time would be out of luck  LOL  Just the therapist in me...

PUFF   Couldn't find anything unusual at this moment.

I've seen those steps on tiny house TV show? It is for one person to walk up naturally, as if using a stair step machine.
Was posting at the same time TSK. You described it better.

TGIF Beakers!
Hi Eagles4, Lisa, Ezee, Eburg, Weasel, Jilltosa, Kb, Tsk, Karen, Oldguy, Puff, Eaglesrock, Emyrauld, Lilbro, Blschue, Lori, Clynn, Tig, Baz, Phyl, Peep, Jaspurr, Pink, BL, Bggolden, T40, ssrl, Maxie, Nrstooge, Paulie, jicaji, LB, and All!

Lisa, the charger was $82 at Autozone in Payson. It was the only place open on New Years Day, we needed one asap..... Home Depot, Walmart had a couple, it was a bit more expensive. You can get them between $40 and up online too, but make sure it's will work for your car make. Living in Payson, we had to get my car started. Towing cost $180 one way. At least one place, Firestone was able to get the battery replaced same day service. The other three car service repair shops were backed up to two to three weeks. We stopped paying for AAA last year, we had used their service for 30+ years. When they didn't answer Mike's call for help three times last year. He was stuck an hour from home on H188 at 6:30pm. Mike called a tow company in Sunflower that charged him $180 to tow him home. They called the next day to see if he needed help, drove to our home and towed the car to a service repair shop and charged $80. AAA never called back. AAA did the same thing to Aly when her car battery died outside of Las Vegas and she was on the way home to Oregon. Mike wrote a letter to AAA and Better Business Bureau. He has written to BBB about the washers and dryers we seem to be going through these last 13 years. LOL! Okay, looks like I've written a letter to you.  ;D

Clynn, sweet pic of Sam... Beautiful gathering of Tibetan monks, stunning view.... Love that pic of MTM! .. a wrapped ice cream container with Liver written on the outside would stop me from touching it too....   looks like a heavy storm is coming your mom's way. Take care.

Tsk, thanks for the eagle article. I agree with you about wonky stairs. It would be like climbing a hill or mountain, R foot then Left, R, L, and so on. Great for the leg muscles.  ;D

Phyl, "love the Shenanigan Squirrel" LOL! .. I believe the Winchester mansion is haunted, never seen it in person, but I believe it! ... the wonky house with the funny stairs, seems to have slanted floors. door ways, even wall paper is off. It plays tricks with your eyes. LOL! Even the other stairs look wonky. "Fun House."  ;D ... love the cabin on a snowy mountain top... sweet Chickadee.

Puff, thanks for keeping us updated.

HAPPY DAY, BEAKERS!  :D

YAY for CROW!!! Thanks, Karen, and Lisa!!  :)

Thanks for All the Beakers' wishes for Zippo to have a happy birthday!  :) :-* :-*  She is!  :D :-*

Yes, she is 37 years old now. She hatched in 1988, and wears a closed leg band with that info, though I don't know her hatch date. She was 12 years old when she came to me in Jan., 2000 - 25 years ago today... 12 years + 25 years = 37 years.  ;D ;D ;D  Not new math.  ;) :D  She had 2 different owners over her first 12 years of life. She came to live with me 25 years ago, on Jan. 3rd, 2000. That's why we usually celebrate her birdday - today! Yay!  :-*

She's had lots of bird treats today. But her birthday sweet potato is coming out of the oven now! She's going to love it!!  :D

My re-heated veggie soup and cornbread is ready for me, too, so Zip and I are heading to an early supper now.
  :D

Good night Beakers. Peace. SED.

P.S. My oldest twin "greats" turned 10 years old the week before Christmas. They went with their Dad, and my Lil Sis, for a snow skiing getaway yesterday, and they had their 1st Ski School lesson this morning!  ;)

TIG  Somehow on FB I'm getting tiny house entries.  I could easily live in a tiny house except in those I've seen where the bed is upstairs I do not see a bathroom  LOL  Guess I would need a 1 story  ::) ::)

LISA   Do you suppose people can actually make those beautiful designs in coffee cups?   Regarding that Tribune article - "60 eagle sightings in a 30 mile radius of The Sears ( Willis now) tower downtown".  I'm only about 16 miles from downtown.  Think I will be looking up more - Hopefully not while I'm driving  LOL    I'm going to remember that suggestion from CLYNN only I'll label it frozen squash.  He doesn't like that  LOL  Thanks for posting for KAREN

LANI   LOLOLOL  " If Friday had a face"  ;D ;D ;D   Funny you should mention AAA.  I also cancelled about 7-8 years ago when I had a flat tire in Wisconsin on the way up to Door County. (I had also been a member for 30+ years) I had Lucy in the car and it was winter.  I called and they said they would send a truck.  Meanwhile state police stopped and he called a guy to come right away.  I had been waiting a long time.  Actually I had to be towed.   Sent the whole bill to AAA and they paid.  I'm glad Mike is writing letters!!!

KAREN    WOW  Nice nest cleanup by CROW and Joshua Tree.

BAZI   What a fun b-day present for the 10 yr olds.  Hope they did well and enjoyed the experience.  Closest I ever got to skiing was cross country.  LOL

TGIF and nice posts from everyone today. Weather will begin getting cooler as the days go forward but I am ready with my makeshift greenhouse on the screen porch or some plants particularly two poinsettias from last year that I’ve got the little tiny blooms as opposed to the big ones that usually appear from the nursery. I hope they will make it through some freezing weather , this week  and am thinking  they will. I have  a wroght inotshelf  on the porch. Covered with a plastic  mattress cover.  Has worked in the past.
Clynn, The KAILASH mountains look like meringue so pretty
Love the tiny houses, one story please that helps father suffered a slight stroke and is in the hospital as they are trying to break his blood pressure down. She worked hard today as I had all the Christmas stuff minus one big box to take down and put away and she helped as some of it was too heavy for me the house now looks bear and I miss the Christmas lights. Oh well onto the next season,
Az, Looks like the twins had a great birthday and Zeppo’s celebrating our 37 years in style with a fancy dinner. I do love the sound of your vegetable soup and cornbread. May have to look at making some next week.
My aunt was a member of AAA for years and I have used their trip tickets from time to time never was a member myself and I believe with the advent of cell phones and computers they need for them is somewhat diminished. The prices they have been charging, are pretty high in the waiting times inexcusable.
Lisa, Thanks for posting the Crowl article. Those people do a fantastic job and treat such a wide variety of species, speaking of which the squirrel in armor is a Real hoot .
Going to wish all SIDS and take Piper to bed by the way, she often sleeps in the same position As Sam

Lisa it's still a little to early to know snow amounts for sure, but I would tell Jeff to take a "snow day" on Monday and get the snow shovel ready.

If you guys end up in the 'sweet spot' of this relatively narrow snow swath I think 6 - 8" of snow is on the table for you guys.
