Good Morning Beakers

baz - Glad to hear that you did not get all this snow.  We are supposed to get the 20 to 30mph winds with high gusts today.

tsk - Reading your post last night about the shoulder, I hope it is feeling better this morning?  You remind me of Mama, she never let anything keep her down.  :-*

BL - Sorry about the very cool home.  :(

Lani - I sent E4E a message too, glad to hear she and Kris are ok.   :D

clynn - I think you are right about the snow being here a while.  I don't see any snow melt temps, but I do see some sunshine.  I hope that will help.  :)

kb, Puff, tig, Phyl and karen - Morning  :)

What a sweet butterball!

Good morning Beakers!
Hi Eagles4, Lisa, Ezee, Eburg, Weasel, Jilltosa, Kb, Tsk, Karen, Oldguy, Puff, Eaglesrock, Emyrauld, Lilbro, Blschue, Lori, Clynn, Tig, Baz, Phyl, Peep, Jaspurr, Pink, BL, Bggolden, T40, ssrl, Maxie, Nrstooge, Paulie, jicaji, LB, and All!

{{{Tsk}}} I hope your shoulder is better today.

Clynn, It is hard to watch CA fire news.. :'(..... It's cold and windy today. Hopefully today's weather will cool down the Horton Fire.... How is your mom? ... Love the Rain dance video {{{Clynn}}}  ;D .... National Geographic post is very interesting.

Puff, sad story about the eagle. I pray he or she didn't leave a mate alone with eggs.

Phyl, beautiful morning sunrise pics.

{{{Lisa and Jeff}}} I pray the sunshine will melt the snow. Prayers for your B&B kitties. I thought about them as I was breaking the ice on the 6 outside bird/wildlife water dishes that I have set about on the ground. It was 23 degrees at that time... brrrr, Sadie and I made a 15 minute stop at the dog park in the semi-darkness this morning.

Well, I broke my low temp limit from mid 20's to 20 just now to walk Ollie....bundled up but the roads are dry so took advantage after many many days in the single digits so no walky walky. We did it Ollie!

They came and dug internet fiber lines next to my house hook up, through my garden to the boulevard this am. Believe me I was nervous considering all the gas line breaks past history. They had to dig just below a gas line from my house to the property line. I just prayed. As it's been very very cold...a few weeks and they will hook it all up. Will drop costs and provide more reliable internet service i assume being underground. But, you know what they say about assuming!

Toilet still not operational...next above freezing temp high is next Thursday.....ugg.

Glad to hear your Horton Fire might become safer for you Lani...
Hope your snow melts Lisa and not too much for you Phyl.

I'm still watching the CA fires....too much history there for me not to. Glad to see the fixed winged Canadian planes picking up water from the ocean and dropping on needed areas...thanks.

Lani-seal pup is  so cute. Happy the Horton fire is becoming safer for   you and area residents

KB-Glad you and Ollie Man got out for a walk with you're improved weather.  Sorry to hear the toilet is still not functioning properly
I hope the predicted snow doesn't last long.
I've been watching CA fires too. Just last night I was commenting to Jim
how bewildered I was that not one of our states or a neighboring  countries are helping out  with CA's wildfires.  Then this AM on FNC a daylight clip was showing  water bombing aircraft  from Ontario,Quebec and British  Columbian owned  company's helicopters flying  over  LA  to aid on frontlines.
Tks northern neighbor.

Lani - That sure is one lil butterball  ;D  The B&B Kitties have all been in the shed, staying warm.  They come out to eat, and go back inside.

kb - I am hoping for some melt too.  Oh no, sorry to hear about your toilet.  Glad that all went well with the digging around your house.

Phyl - Be safe with the weather headed your way.

tig - Thanks for the link.

Good night, everyone  :)

CLYNN   As a matter of fact, just finished this 500 piece black cat.  Have 3 more on the shelf  LOL   Will  probably start a new one this weekend,  I want to finish an afghan for our seminarian who is 6' 7".  :o  This thing weighs a ton!  Hope to finish it up tonight and wash tomorrow.  Every new priest, deacon or seminarian who comes through our parish gets an afghan in their favorite colors from someone in our shawl ministry.   Re our country 77 mill yrs ago. My brother is a geography major and he loves that stuff!!!

PUFF   I did not hear about that eagle found on the road.  Very sad.

PHYL  Very interesting collection of objects in your AM pic.  Amazingly was home this AM to watch the Carter Memorial service at the Cathedral.  Loved Gerald Ford's letter to Carter read by his grandson.

LANI   Seal pups - which end is up.  LOL    Shoulder is a bit better today.  :)   Bet Sadie is glad too she's not on her long AM walk  LOL

KB   I cringe too when they lay new cable.  Ours doesn't go near deep enough around here.

LISA   Are the cats preferring the shed to the new condos Jeff set up?

some bounce

I watched the funeral on CSPAN 2. I loved Jason Carter's eulogy.
Now, I'm watching Notre Dame...
I don't usually have coffee this late in the day but I had just one spoonful left in the jar and I added a bit of Grand Marnier... in honor of the Orange Bowl. And a toast to Jimmy. R.I.P.

Hope I'm caught up for the day...

Tsk-black cat puzzle would be a challenge.  That's a huge shawl!    That's a very nice gesture and gift. I'm sure those are treasured
There were several lovely eulogies and tributes to Pres. Carter. I liked them all his family seemed to appreciate them.  Happy to read your shoulder
is some better today.

Lisa- thanks  we'll do our best to take care. I'll be thinking of your B&B kitties ... the shed is a good place. The weather for Jim will be rough as he's in and out of it at the store all day. Im sure he'll head straight home

KB-good news on the toilet

Fox news has 'primed' the chest by giving  $1 million to the relief fund of The Red Cross... to donate for LA fires is at :https://www.redcross.org/donate/cm/FOXForward-pub.html/

Watched the Pres, Carter service today.  i worked 4 blocks from the White House during the Carter years and found  the
tributes to him very dear and true.
The news on the fires is very depressing!
Phyg. There are fire fighters in CA from Oregon and Washington but it is my understanding the hydrants are dry.  There are Navy flights out
Of San Diego and some other specialized military  there or enroute.  It is unimaginable and I will not criticize or second guess anyone on this!   Was this a local Fox station or the news network?   Just curious.

Hooe Jim stays well.

bird flu is becoming a problem.  It was recently found in raw x
Cat food
on the West coast. Very contagious  and folks are getting it in many parts of the country.
Lani, good walk with Sadie.   Stay safe.
Tsk!  Hope you are not overdoing!
Nice morning pics.
Baz, so fa  so good on the flowers!

{{{Lisa, Jeff, Misty, Bandit & B/B kitties}}}  ;D

Tsk, love the puzzle, look's like Lisa's Bandit.... Sadie loves going to the park right now. Our walking buddy isn't able to walk right now. Physically his heart is not doing well right now. So, no walking... that will be a big shawl. Lovely gesture.

Tig, we watched the funeral and game too.

Kb, good news on the toilet.  ;D

{{{Karen & Piper}}} lovely service for President Carter.

{{{Phyl, Jim, Maggie}}}

Good night!

Dear Lord, we ask for Your protection over those in harm’s way. Shield every person, every family, every child, animal and wildlife caught in the path of these flames. Guide them to safety and provide shelter for the displaced.

Please help the firefighters, emergency responders, and volunteers who risk their lives daily to combat the flames. Strengthen them with courage and endurance, and surround them with Your divine protection. May their efforts be fruitful, and may they find rest and peace amidst their labor. Amen

Wish me luck today. . . 20 degrees, promise of 2 inches of snow  :(.

First pickup at 10 am for orthopedic doctor.  Please  GOD let them take cast/splint off my arm!!!  Dec 12 a long time ago.  Transport arriving for me at 10 am.

Hope I'm free and able to drive myself for a 3pm appt with cardiologist.  Two trips to ER last week Fri/Sat.
Second visit I actually went down/out.  Praying for some solid answers.

Strong & patient would seem to be the advice for the day.  At least let me get my arm free.  I'll check in with day's results/reports probably later today, 5 pm?
