I went to Google Maps street view and looked at the trees from the bridge_Image taken May of 2023.

Even zoomed all the way in I can't tell exactly what kind of trees they are by the bark or leaves.
Either Ash or Cottonwood trees I believe ...
RRP ??

HD and female/HM2 ? sure are getting busy building onto N6 this AM.    8) 8) 8)

~ Edit to add ~ 2nd image. I believe this view of N6 is coming from the N2B camera.

Lisa, cool on building the eagle ID photo data.

From your 1st image posted I can see the tree buds clearly now, yup pretty sure it's an Eastern Cottonwood Tree.  ;D

And by the looks of those buds by the time they turn to leaves there is going to be some pretty slim viewing of N6 from the N1 camera anyway.   :-\

We will have to peek thru the leaves  ;D

The piebald goose from last year (probably) visited N1 briefly about 7:00 this morning.

Great to get some closeups of the eagle pair!

Quick check on the N1 goose family finds them all doing  OK this morning about 9:00.  Parents and 2 goslings on the bank and 2 goslings close to the water at the Pond.

I nice talon full of field debris being delivered to N6 at sunrise.

He/she collected it from the field north of the N2B nest by the bike path.

At 1st I thought the BE was stuck in the field by something as it was oddly hopping around in a very small area of the field for quite some time.

But alas it was just trying to get a good grip on the huge glob of nest material that was successfully delivered to N6.   ;D

So nice to watch on camera a pair of BE's once again building a new nest in the Hatchery area Realm.    8) 8) 8)

I think this nest is going to be for real this time and this pair is going to be sticking around here at N6 .. so, is it time for "the new female" to get a proper RRP name ?

HM2 seems like a logical name in line with RRP's naming convention.

What do we say RRP ?   :)

Last pic - there was a nest runway incursion at N6 - Air Traffic Controller needed.  LOL  :D : ;)

Great pics, BL

That was cool to see the nesting being gathered and brought to nest.

These golden sunrises at Decorah are just beautiful!  Thanks for the pics, BL.

I would vote in favor of HM2 for the new female BE.

Five gosling's feeding in a ditch next to the south side white line of Trout Run Road feeding on something needed.

The attention to detail to the gosling's safety was remarkably dutiful by the N1 CG parents.

Rewind.

NONE SHALL PASS.

4 IA Stop Signs at this 4 way intersection the last I heard here.

Please slow down approaching it or leaving it.

BL, were you watching when the big farm tractor scared the Fam of 5, and all went running away from the shade tree they were under?  Poor lil things.
