{{{Kb}}} oh my what a fishing trip! Glad to hear {{{Dennis and Vi's}}} phone is connected! What an ordeal it's been for them... glad your grass is growing nicely.  ;D

Tig,  ;D

Tsk, I've went back and looked at NG digging at the nest bowl, and he did it on purpose. Others have said the same thing in the chat room. He understands what's going on and knew it wasn't his... and now he's keeping close to Iris and bringing her fish. So far I haven't seen her having to do her own fishing for the past two or three days. Louis has not been to the nest again.

SED Karen, Mike bought his own mask, it was going to take too long to get a new one through Medicare. He doesn't like to deal with Medicare or the Home Care Company that he bought his first cpap mask with... He doesn't like having to go through hoops just to get it repaired or replaced. After he gets a new one he does send the old to Medicare or Home Care Co. to see if he can get a refund or replacement which usually takes 6 to 8 weeks. I hope all goes well with the machine tonight.... well glad you got the plants in before the rain. They'll settle in nicely after all the moisture. ;D

Good night!

Good Morning Beakers!  It's Caturday again!

Phyl, how are you and Jim (and Maggie) doing this morning? Been thinking about all of you...Hope Jim is improving. And you and Maggie are taking care...

Lani, oh that sleeping puppy...Like you, I am so overjoyed about Iris and NG! I remember when Stanley kicked an egg or two out of the nest one year! NG seems like a good provider, he knew how to win Iris's heart! Bring her a fish! Now we wait for eggs, then little ospreyletts! I can't wait! We just can't get enough of them after we have waited for so long! 2014 was the last time there were chicks in the nest of Iris and Stanley. Was it the next year that the hailstorm damaged all of them? And the next year that Stanley didn't return? Lele was in 2018, the last one...

BL, wow on your fishing trip! Good eats for sure! Do you all take fish home to eat? Severe catching, great cartoon from Lani!

Lisa, I am thinking I will put some vincas out by the mailbox. The rabbits don't seem to bother them! It's raining pretty hard right now, Maybe this afternoon I can get my new hostas planted and pull up some of the Lilies of the Valley. Those lilies spread like crazy, they want to take over my hosta bed!

tig, beautiful roses! Your Mom is smiling!

tsk, I googled the picture of the flowers I posted yesterday morning, they are Ranunculus. Never heard of them, they are planted as bulbs. They are so pretty! Here is some info from The Spruce:  https://www.thespruce.com/ranunculus-7104375

Norwich Cathedral Peregrine Falcons - 4 chicks!

I've fallen a bit behind so trying to 'catch-up". So glad the Beakers who suffered that house blowing-up are able
to rebuild

KAREN- I've heard how frustrating CPap is---have you checked out "Inspire'   in plants ?

BL-that's some tuna, sounds like a great fishing trip

LANI- LOL joke for BL is a good one

CLYNN-just read the wonderful news about Iris and New Guy!  Yes, egglets in the nest---soon!  Thanks for Norwich Cath. looking good there.
Maggie is still here and good as ever. Getting
a bit 'bossy' too. LOL. There's some confusion about Jim's discharge

TIG- to quote everyone, "Beautiful roses."   ;)

Yes. TSK, hopefully Jim will come home today. I bought fresh bananas the other day and some of his fave food ---I hope the bananas last . LOL

17 yr old Fergus in Mesa AZ

Morning all.

clynn - Ranunculus are my favorite flower of all. I first learned of them while living in CA. (70's and 80's) They grow wild there and many are sold as cut flowers.

I once tried to grow one in my wall planter box here but didn't survive.

clynn   The Spruce Nice varied information = always read it.

Found out the stores in the area (Chgo) are just finding out about bananas.  I HAVE to have a banana every day to get started.  Tea, too, banana and tea.  I digress. . .

I greatly dislike grocery shopping.  Mostly once a week, sometimes 10 days, even two weeks.  Hard to get fresh milk and bananas on that schedule.  Some stores now know what I knew - they sell their bananas with little chef-type caps on the end of the bananas.  I learned back in the day - Keep the bananas in a plastic bag covering the top of the banana.  Seal/twist the top ends in baggie.  There is some kind of gas that escapes that needs to stay to prevent them from turning brown.  They last a week at least before the change starts.  10 days if you buy them slightly green.  Better that storing them in the fridge.  When I buy a bunch, some ready and some greenish, I also grab a plastic big from dispenser in the department and put it in my purse for when  I'm home.

Good Caturday Morning Beakers

A little bit of rain this morning - forecast for another shot in the afternoon - currently 60 and heading to 70.  We got 1.25 inches on Thursday - one of the biggest rains this spring for us.  Forecast is more strong storms for the next week.

Work has been busy, garden center is fully stocked and lots of people buying.  10 day forecast shows lows above 40, so we have most likely had our last freeze of the season.

Hawaii has been having an increase in earthquake activity on the eastern rift zone, which has prompted the Park Service to close some roads and trails to the SE area of the Park.
Island is still active, but volume is down to the point that it's expected to signal stoppage, but the ground rise is still occurring, so the experts are not in agreement on what is to be expected.  Meanwhile another volcano on the Eastern part of Iceland is showing signs of new activity.

Baltimore bridge removal is progressing well - yesterday they remove a large piece of structure from the deck of the ship, revealing that the support pillar is embedded into the side of the ship.

Have not seen E 23 for a few days so he might have truly flown the coop,  will keep checking in!

Cpap machine working ok!  Do not know why Mike has. So much troubke with medicare. I have never had issues like that.  They check my record and see mt eligibility and viola!  Instance fix or replacement!   I looked at inspire which is an implant and at my age do not want to undergo any unnecessary surgery!
Bl!  Hope you are hauling in a big one as I type!  Fish as long as you can!
Clynn, did you get the escape  issue solved?

Oldguy - Loved the close up views of the bridge work....thanks.

I remember earlier on them saying all 22 crew members would stay on board. I assume they are off by now but when?...and maybe i shouldn't assume. They said they had provisions for weeks if I remember, but weeks have gone by now I think.

KB - last I heard, the crew remains on board, because they best know how to maintain the ship's systems.

Thanks much, tig..I did wonder...I suppose they have extra provisions brought to them if need be.

Uufda, a long time to sit on a non moving ship though.
