Lani You answered my question about Iris.  Louis probably result of her egg.  Do we have a osprey DNA expert on staff/available?     ::)

Phyl  I'm not sure you understand the mystery of the Musical Ear Syndrome; I don't think I know all the facts.  Just as I lost Tony I went to my ENT with that problem.  My two biggest "sounds" were music, instrumental only, no words (Christmas music, sports rah rah songs, oldie but goodies), and then there were sounds of water running, furnace blowing air, outdoor things happening.  When someone was/is visiting I always ask if they hear . . .  They don't.  ENT recommended local specialist appt who gave it the name.  She didn't have solution.  Only told me it can be the traumatic loss and quiet and it usually goes away.  No, it didn't.  But I did know there was the other term Auditory Pareidolic reaction and read up a whole lot since then.

tsk That fishing trip BG and crew had sounds like something Tim and you might enjoy.  I'd look into it.  Just the cruising on the meeting of the water is interesting to see.  Did it once up north by Canada.

Good Morning Beakers...Happy Friday!

E4E - I saved your marinade recipe too.  I sounds like it would be good on chicken.

Lani - Love the guilty looks!  If NG doesn't mind that egg belongs to someone else, and stays with Iris...he is a good guy in my eyes!

BrokenLug - Sounds like you are having a great fishing trip.  :)

Phyl - Wow, that was alot of fluid on Jim's lungs.  I hope he is feeling better, and can come home soon.  Thanks for the 365, links and pics.

tsk - Quite a bit of rain for you.  LOL, Tim would miss Lulu first.

clynn - I think we are going to stick with buying the big pots of Vinca's already made up.  They do last all season.  Great pics from Hellgate!

Puff and all - Morning  :D

CLYNN  Field of poppies /mix?   :o :o   NG is a keeper!.  Tim would have had no sugar Snapple or diet pop or lemon mineral water or just plain water  ;) ;) besides a diet lemonade.

PUFF   Yes Tim and his brother have done several ocean charters when in Florida or Lake Michigan charters years ago.  Nothing like BL however!!

TIG  Great color on Mom's tulips.  Bulbs have lasted a long time.  :o

TGIF Beakers!
Morning Ezee, Eburg, Weasel, Jilltosa, Kb, Tsk, Lisa, Karen, Oldguy, Puff, Eaglesrock, Emyrauld, Lilbro, Blschue, Lori, Clynn, Eagles, Tig, Baz, Phyl, Peep, Jaspurr, Pink, BL, Bggolden, T40, ssrl, Maxie, Nrstooge, Omasawyer, Paulie, jicaji, LB, and All!

BL, thank you for a great fishing story. I hope Lilbro will stop by and read it. Wahoo is a mild sweet tasting fish. Yummy! Your freezer will be well stocked. Great pics!

Phyl, Good to hear Jim's lungs are clearing of fluid. God bless him, doctor and staff, he's right where he should be. Love your posts, beautiful Fly away morning, Geese Family, and nest pics updates from your favorite cams....interesting article on Auditory pareidolia and inner monologue...  keeping Jim, you and Miss Maggie in my prayers.

Tsk, NG brought a fish for Iris this morning, she wasn't hungry so off he went. Everyone at Hellgate and Iris fans/followers are praying that Iris will no longer be alone.  :-* ... I could hear the three boys mama holding back. She struck just the right tone, because she knew her farming husband would just get a good laugh, as you can tell with his post about the situation. She resolved the issue and in the end you could hear her say "next time use paper" and he says respectfully  "yes ma'am"  :-* ... but his two siblings. LOL! Looks like he's the leader, this family will be having years of adventures. Especially since she has 4 boys to raise, and I'm including the boys father!!!  LOLOLOL!!   ;D

Clynn, NG brought another fish to Iris and she's having breakfast on the owl pole right now. He's not brooding, but he's guarding the egg/nest. OMG! He just kicked the egg out after bring a branch. 10:46am time. I keep trying to go back and take a snip  :'( ... looks like NG can count days.  :-\

Lisa, I agree with you about NG. She's sitting on her nest with NG and softly chirping to him. And he's proudly guarding her/nest. She deserves this after the lonely summers she's had to endure, losing her eggs to the ravens/crows because she had to fish for food to survive too.
Puff, Louis started mating with Iris three weeks ago. And the NG persistently this past week... so..  ???... thank you for sharing your experiences.

5/3 Good Morning, Hellgate #CHOWS! For those who have been following #HellgateOspey for 5 years or more, you know how amazing it was to see Iris incubating the egg with a mate standing by. We've waited a long time.
We believe we can say #ProjectNewMate was a success.

Iris accepts some Fish from her new beloved provider who is trying so hard....she took it to Owl Pole where she is currently devouring it! ❤ posted by Jennie Powell

Lani and all who posted - Such great news about the potential for Iris! Thanks for letting us know.

BL - what a great fishing trip and past pic as well.

Reminds me as an early 20 something I flew to San Diego, California for a visit with my Dad...and, he decided it would be "fun" for us to charter a fishing boat out of SD to catch tuna somewhere off of Baja California.
Well, i was the only female on the boat and that night I was in a bunk bed?  but Dad was up all night as we headed into a ferocious storm. I do believe there was real concern if we'd make it.

Well next day or so, I was so sick to my stomach from the waves, I took so much dramamine I literally dozed in a half conscious state throughout the ordeal. Men caught lots of tuna. Myself? never took a tuna charter trip again, LOL

Been busy outside in my yard/gardens on days it's not raining....lots of rain here so far and much more to come.

Proud so far of my emerald green grass growing in nicely.

Yah, yah!...Dennis and Vi's phone just got hooked up....only took them 2 weeks since their next door's house explosion. Dang... in the interim she has been walking down to my house...she's over 87 yrs old.
Great news for them.

Bounce
Camper just assisted me with a few tasks out front. Afterward, we were sitting on the planter brick wall, resting, when a lady came by walking her Dogue de Bordeaux, on the "proper" side of the walk (on the city grass, instead of ours). We thanked her, and she said there are some folks below the hill that walk up here and let their dogs off leash. Which is probably why I had to dodge several large piles when I was mowing the other day. GRR.

KB... Hugs to you and Vi and Dennis. We did a pretty good job of ridding the planter box of the garlic chives, eventually. But I just discovered a good patch of it in the grass below the box. I guess I'll need to get at it tomorrow.

LANI   Watched the Twitter piece 3 times  LOL   Good point  Having 4 boys to raise  LOLOL  His kicking the egg out wasn't an accident?  Maybe now they will mate??

KB   Good news for Vi and Dennis.  Kind of dangerous to be without a phone.  Funny story about the charter.  Barb and I went on one with Tom and Tim eons ago out about 10 miles or so out on Lake Michigan from one of the Chicago harbors.  We both were puking over the side after a bit and laid down for the rest of the trip.  Also then took a while to get land legs.  Never again for me. ::) :P

NG and Iris defended the nest against an intruder today. And continued working on the nest and nest bowl together.
They mated and their relationship is stronger. The cam did show Iris looking down at her egg on the ground. She should lay another egg late today or tomorrow.

Clynn, thanks for your morning pictures from Helgate!   Also love the mass of flowers!  Beautiful colors.  Guess they are tulips!
Lani, I took the cpcp in yesterday and they fixed it!  Last night I thought the air flow was pretty light but went to sleep.  This am I found there was no air!  Called them this am and said I would need A new machine!   The girl gave me a lot of lip and I said I would be in around 1!  When I got there she said she was giving me a new model 10 to replace the model 11 I had had for about a year!  I asked her what the difference was in the machines and shed they thought this would be better for me!  Her.  Responses irked me but home we came and installed it in the bedroom!  A quick google told me the 11 has more online reports available.  At any rate I called back and spoke with the manager who was the one who fixed it yesterday.   He said I could access sleep reports on line with this and told me how!  I was a tad angry and said that even tho I was stumbling around with a cane I was not senile and. That this information should have been shated with me when .i furst got the machine!   Well, I fe,t better!   Lol!  Now to see how this works tonight!  Btw Lani he says they have beeb having a lir if orobkems with tge resmed 11.  Also, medicare and insurance have paid for mine and .i noticed you said Mike bought one.

New plants are in the ground and I had the sprinkler system turned back on to get them watered in and lo and behold, rain!  Between the two I think they are wet enough!
Seds all!  See you caturday!

Us 4 idiots have firmly decided to dedicate this evening's outing in your honor Karen.

We got at least 100 patrons here heartily cheering and toasting you they got no clue .   :)     KG.

tsk
BL  Thanks for that great description of that fishing excursion.
You answered a question I was going to ask about what do you do with the fish?

How long does it take to land one of those tuna?

Depends on it's size and it's desire not to be dinner.   ;)
Seriously the really big tuna can take up to an hour from hooked to on deck on a lap belt.

This trip can really kick the stuff out of you as the fish get younger.   ;D

Pole tip and line always set up high and tight -  set hook huge pole bend - fish on - pole from boat into waist belt - pole tip lowered a bit - let it run - reel screaming out line - back kicks in pulling up on the rod reeling like you were scrambling eggs - lather rinse repeat for one hour.

Very quickly you realize you've firmly planted your feet on the aft deck of a 24' Grady White.   8)

Your feet, legs, spine, and hopefully brain & inner ear are standing on a pitching, bobbing, rolling piece of plywood in the middle of the ocean with a fish that can pull you out of it.

What the _ am I doing out here.

At 1st your adrenaline of course courses with the 1st offshore fish on _ then your brain, arms, legs and whole body start to really kick in.

Your forearms seriously start talking to you at the 20 minute mark.

The wake up time, being out in even the most calm kind weather environment , being in a small craft will kick the ..

It's grueling but someone has to do it.   ;D

Us well seasoned and oiled Squids are going to go for go for a walk about on the warm sand of a OBX beach on a Friday night have a few pints and stogies.   :)

And do it all over again tomorrow because the forecast here just called for severe catching.   8)
