Eagles, Mike is home and it'll take a couple of days for him to catch up with his sleep. He's been going to bed at 7pm.

Oldguy, The video update on Iceland volcano was great, especially the music...  Good view of Grindavik... Your dinner sounds like a winner! Mike would love it! LOL! Good luck!

Eaglet Growth and Development: Week Four
 April 19, 2024  RaptorResource
https://www.raptorresource.org/2024/04/19/eaglet-growth-and-development-week-four-3/

We’re writing a series of blogs about the first few weeks of an eaglet’s life. An eaglet spends roughly 75 to 80 days in the nest. For about the first half, it grows and gains weight. For about the second half, it grows flight feathers and starts developing the skills it will need post-fledge. We will focus on week four in this blog.

Good Morning Beakers....Happy Sunday!

Thank you all for the birthday wishes for Jeff's dad.  His actual birthday is not till the 27th, but Jeff's stepsister works next weekend, so she wanted to do something this weekend for his dad.

tsk - I hope to feel as young at that age too!  Pop still works (delivers cars for a dealership) when needed, he cuts his own grass, mulches, and does whatever handy work needs to be done around the house.  He hates sitting down, as he says, it makes his hip hurt, so he is constantly moving. Hope Joe got home and all settled, prayers!

karen - LOL, the old agers club.

Lani - We had a great day, and the food was good.  We had ribeye steaks, potato salad (made by me), macaroni salad, pasta salad (SIL made), and cake. All of Pop's favorites.

T40 - Pretty kitties for Caturday.  :D

E4E - Thanks!  :)

oldguy - Your card game meal sounds delicious, but tell me what muskmelon is, please?  I have never heard of it.  BTW, Jeff has a Taco Cat shirt  ;D

tig - Hope you enjoyed that deep dish pizza!

Phyl - Thanks!  :)  Pretty morning pic, thanks for the links.

kb, Puff, clynn and all - Morning  :D

PHYL  Nice scene with the boat and lilies  :) and cute chick in daffodils .   Cardinal call wakes me every morning  :)

LISA   Your FIL did not look 87 in that photo.  So great to still be that active.  Keeps all the joints lubricated  LOL  What a nice pot luck dinner you all enjoyed.  Dad's fav's are after my own heart.   ;)

KB   Beautiful stone arch bridge.  Looks like other ways around it for 2 years.

some bounce

KB - great pic. Yes, we are, most of us, getting soft. Frustrating. Will attempt to mow today.

The garlic bread app was yummy. The deep dish was a disappointment. NOT a true Chicago style. It was presented in a deep pan but was half filled with bread and a light amount of topping. Mine was pork belly. I located a few thin pieces. I ate the top off mine and then enjoyed a salted caramel gelato. I'll need to do better research and follow up by phone to find a true deep dish.

Hugs all. Keep looking UP

Good Morning Beakers

only 1 out 3 last night - but mostly close games...  The meal was great, with only a few left overs...

Lisa - another name for muskmelon is cantaloupe.
Muskmelon: What Is It and How Is It Different from Cantaloupe?   -   https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/muskmelon-vs-cantaloupe

While cantaloupe varieties are muskmelons, not all muskmelons are cantaloupes. The name muskmelon comes from the sweet fragrance of the ripe fruit. The term musk comes from a Persian word for perfume, and melon is a French word derived from the Latin melopepo, which means 'apple-shaped melon'.

There is a city to my SE on the Mississippi River called Muscatine.  There is a large area of bottom land to the south of the city that is farmed for mostly melons - the farmers started to sell their melons as 'Muskmelons' in the 60's instead of cantaloupe to distinguish them from melons grown elsewhere, tying the name to Muscatine.
